So I`m new here and if my thread is not on the right place - sorry. And here it is my problem:
I`m using Widgetsoid Switcher Widget and have this very annoying problem that when i turn on something it not works (For example: I turn on my data service, widget indicates that it`s turned on but actually it's not. If I turned it on from the Settings menu the widget indicates it`s turned on and when I stop it from the widget it doesn`t stop). Same with WiFi and GPS... This thing is freaking me out so if somebody can help me it would be great or if you can tell me other app like that one with options for customization. Thanks in advance

Hi,
Try to uninstall, install and reboot directly after install (it's important!).
After go to global preferences and check "Disable all apn"
Create your widgets and it will be ok.
Now everythings is fine but Data Service still doesnt't work... Any ideas?
data toggle help
i had the same problem with the data/3g toggle on my htc evo. what you have to do is go to "settings->wireless & networks->then scroll down and make sure there is a check mark in the "mobile network" setting" in order for the widget to control it the setting must first be enabled. it took me and the dev 3 days to find this out.
also if that doesn't work go into the app itself and as soon as it opens it you should see something at the top that says data toggle mode. make sure that setting is set to "APN toggle" and not "APN rename"
hope this helps. remember to rep if it did
Thanks man
No problem

I had a similar problem today, it looks like the data switch in Widgetsoid places a dash in front of your AccessPoint name in order to block data transfer and removes that dash when you click switch again.
After messing with Widget I was not able to connect to net, I installed, uninstalled, etc, and then I noticed that APN list was empty, I had to add the APN again and restart it, I think (as said above) that you need the data to be ON then do a restart in order for Widgetsoid to properly read the status.
If you're rooted, use the new "root method" to toggle data. It doesn't mess with your APN & it works flawlessly for me. It's the first time I've had a data toggle that actually works.
A simple method
FIX = Settings>Location & Security>Select Device Administrators> *Uncheck Widgetsoid
Uninstalled
Thanks to: mr.noobsalot
I know this is an old thread, but where is the global preferences on version 3.4.1 it doesnt appear when I click apply.
Im using a HTC sensation and ICS.
Thanks

Stay FAR away from Widgetsoid. It can slow a Galaxy S5 down to a Crawl. Your Dialer will not function, Your phone will not respond. Its trying to load your phone with Ads or something and keeps your CPU busy, whether its a dual core or quad doesn't matter. Developer does not respond and does not seem to care. After uninstalling this App, the phone feels "new" again.
I believe this app is some type of Spyware/Malware combo. Why does it need access to my Contacts? Something very fishy and the developer never responds. It's a great Widget when it works but certain things about it don't seem right. Uninstalled!
Every time I want to use my phone, I have to hear the annoying voice stating the current time. How can I remove the audio from the lock screen? Thank You.

Unfortunately this is not it. I checked that already. Everytime I receive a phone call or a text msg. their is a voice notification of the person who is calling/texting. I like that but just don't want that on the lock screen every time I want to use the phone. I would greatly appreciate any help in this matter. THANK YOU!!!
I think you have car mode ON in voice and search settings.

Disable voice
Applicatons-Settings-voice input and output-text to speech-driving mode (enable or disable)
If you disable driving mode, you will not have any more announcements, if you want to have it enabled, go to the driving mode settings and select the items that you would like the phone to announce. The unlock screen announcement is at the bottom of the settings.
Note: These steps are for a stock, unmodded ROM.
100% stock verizon s3. not rooted , & barley any thing on it.
Today it started to read practically everything to me....mostly facebook, but also texts, & calls.
Driving mode is off,
talk back is off
i dont have Lightflow installed.
im confused. the ONLY thing that i did do today was enable Driving mode to test it out, the i turned it off. (via the notification area, as well as enabled then disabled it via the settings menu...)
anyone have any ideas WTF is going on?> also a reboot did not fix it.
My Nexus 7 did the same thing to, but it stopped on its own

I LOL some more. I'm giving this **** 5 stars.
I should not have to turn it off. Then is mostly a circumvent and not a solution
Also I am not sure what is so entertaining about the post

Unless you are visually impaired or need total hands free operation Text to Speech should be disabled.

i installed LED flow which needed to have some accessibility options enabled, and after that my voice started too. i never did check the box to turn it on, but it did it on its own.
i uninstalled LED flow as i did not like it, and everything else returned to normal.
When you click a folder on your home screen does it say "The folder is open" and/or "The folder is closed"? If it does it means you have something in accessibility turned on. I use tasker. Some of the features requires tasker accessibility turned on. When I do that I get the annoying text to speech notifications like that. Only way to turn them off is to have nothing all at enabled in accessibility. I dont have to disable tts in language and input, so I can still use google now, eva voice assistant and astrid still reads me my reminders. But I cannot use any tasker task that requires accessibility, without hearing" the folder is open. The folder is closed" etc etc etc.

That's what it was saying to me. It was annoying. Like I said I went in and removed led flow, reset all the accessibility settings and it's silent now.

hi guillame
sorry for bothering you
but ı need to ask you
can you add bln(notification) feature into omni please?
ı know this is required kernel support but what about this app :http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1958939
also ı want customizable keyboard so much ı dont know this request was posted on before
ı mean this http://imgim.com/3401inciv6957156.jpg
ım waiting your answers thanx and with my best regards :good:
I know this sounds REALLY petty.. I'm so impressed with Omni its untrue. On my s3 its faultless.. the ONLY thing I can criticise (for purely poke holes feedback - come on - its awesome!) is when using Swiftkey (or alt keyboard) when the phone auto locks whilst in a text or Hangouts etc and it being on charge (USB) ActiveDisplay constantly displays 'Choose input method' along with 'USB debugging connected'. 'Choose input method' keeps it awake and every few seconds refreshes the notice on screen and doesn't disappear. Can ' Choose Input Method' and 'USB Debugging' be added to the Low Priority notification list like Google Now?
I know this is like saying you don't like the wheel nut covers on your new Bentley but just feeding back!
Loving your work!
EDIT: typo/grammer... had a serious drink and posted rather than lurked - also very occasionally looses the top menu (icons and ability to swipe down) - not found out why - will investigate circumstances -but a lock/unlock solves it. Really no biggie!! Thank you!
Android Device Manager
When trying to ring the device after locating it in Android Device Manager, it rings ONCE as Active Display kills it rather than the 5mins which will help you find the phone. This should be blacklisted if possible

I've noticed that Android 5.0 allows to change many system settings (enable/disable WiFi/BlueTooth/Autorotate/etc) on its Lock Screen without entering any password.
I hate this liberty.
Does anyone have any idea how to disable this feature?
I cannot find anything in settings.

I too cannot believe this was left as a feature... I was hoping that would be fixed in the final version.

I agree but there's nothing in android. 3rd party lock screen is the only way.
a fix for this would be good, as anyone can just pick up your phone and change any of the quick settings without unlocking it.
So you would not be able to track the phone if it got nicked and someone just stuck it in airplane mode!

does it matter if airplane mode is in quick settings or the main setting? if they want to steal your phone and put it into airplane mode, they will do it regardless if its in quick settings or the main settings. its stuff that you yourself use often that will appear in quick settings. i personally think its a great feature.

But they should not be able to do it while the phone is locked. At very least we should have the option of what should be accessible without unlocking the phone.

even if they were not in the quick settings, you can still pull down the notification bar while in the lockscreen, and go into the main settings. so, everything there is available to any thief.

If i do that it prompts to unlock the phone
Heck, I'm not even worried about the security situation with this, I just want to disable it because I think it is extremely poorly executed!
It offers nothing that power toggles doesn't, and is not even configurable for what options are present. I never use auto-rotate, cast screen, invert colors, etc, and yet, those options are available instantly!

They can also just remove the sim card or turn it off.
What I am looking for, is for the only possible thing you can do, while the phone is locked, is enter the password. Is there a way to set that up? Not be able to toggle any settings at all or remove the quick settings(I am ok with the emergency calling and camera widget, since you can't access the pictures on the phone until entering the password). I know they could still remove the sim or power off the phone but at least it might buy some more time if your phone gets stolen for you to track it or snap a pic of the thief. It would be nice if you could also disable the power menu and volume buttons while on the lock screen.
For now, until other solution is found or developed, you can go to notification settings and in 'When device is locked' change the setting to 'Hide sensitive notification content'. This disables access to quick settings from the lock screen but also hides titles of notifications, so you will see the notifications for emails, texts etc., but their content will be hidden.
This doesn't work. Well, if you have root and xposed you can install "Advanced Power Menu" to control the power menu on lockscreen etc and with GravityBox you can control the items on the quick settings. But I still couldn't figure out a way to totally disable it on the lockscreen.
As I remember the "X posed" Module "Notification Mod" could do exactly this. Problem is: It seems that development is discontinued and the stable ver1.2 doesn't (on my lollipop custom rom) work on 5.x

I am seeing this in my new Samsung S7 edge... with finger print and password lock.... it is not there on S5 with finger print and password lock... its a silly feature... why would they turn it on ? My son just put my phone in airplane mode accidentaly.... and I kept wondering why no messages and calls for the whole weekend.... hate to think what it would be like if it happened to someone who was say, on a on-call emergency personnel or something like that.... no one would be able to reach out to them.... I guess now have to keep checking my phone every hour.... hahahaha... or maybe go back to using my S5.. if someone has a solution to this pls share... appreciate it.
No way to disable access to quiick settings on lock screen on unrooted Android M....
Try the Market anyway,
One solution for me on Android 6.01 was to disable WiFi, Bluetooth, Airplane Mode, Mobile Data from Quick Settings using Systen UI Tuner in Settings then downloaded Settings Extended app at the Market and moved all mentioned in SE's Notification Shortcut. Don't forget to enable "HIDE LOCK SCREEN NOTIFICATION" in Preferences which is the objective of all this anyway. So don't forget to click this.
You can even disable everything in Quick Settings and instead put them all in SE Notification as Shortcuts. What's great about SE is that its Notification gets the icon color/shade/background color/color when toggled etc. perfectly in Android 6. Exactly the same. It looks like its really part of the Notification Screen except that there's that horizontal gap that separates the notifications and makes the screen fiddle faddle.
Try it anyway. It might be your only hope against lock screen vulnerability in unrooted Android 6.0 phones.

I have the same problem with my S7. Its weird that you cant change the wifi or bluetooth without unlocking the phone but when you select mobile data or airplane mode you can turn that off from the lockscreen so when your phone gets stolen, the thief can so easy turn that off that there is no way to trace your phone. Why do they even call this a smart phone while its so dumb?

I must apologise first, I’m not a nerdy-head about android, but I was thinking about my new phone (upgraded to A7) and your question is one that I sought out for answers.
In Nougat, I logged in as Guest and used a pin for the user so that a ‘guest’ can’t access the Guest account without my permission.
Then comes you’re question.
You can remove all the worrisome quick start icons from your quick settings (probably leave flashlight). Then use a 3rd party app (Notification Toggle is mine) which isn’t available to a user from a protected login.
As I’ve never had a lollypop viable phone I’m afraid another user might need to help you with a more detailed method for A5.
Hope it helps somewhat. As an old 8080 machine code programmer, it was always about solving problems and then working the bugs out. I'm not even sure how to post on these - socially thingy’s.
This issue it's still there in Nougat, so before it is passed on to Android O, we have to POPULARIZE this issue so they(Android developers) know how big of a pain in the ass it is. I'm posting the complaints to every forum, magazine, fan page, etc. When it's on the social media, they have to do something. This issue has survived because people don't want their friends to know about it, coz it's partly embarrassing...
