Hi
I would like to connect to my ftp server and copy txt file to that server from my SD card.
Anyone know how to do it in Terminal Emulator? (I know that there are a lot of apps which can do it but I want to use a script).
Would be great if you know and could post it here

I have some files on my 4GB mem card in my kaiser and I want to copy them off. The problem is the only files that seem to copy are mp3's. None of my photos, or other files copy at all.
I tried to remove the mem card and put it in my card reader but it asks me to format it first.
Is there a file sharing plugin/software I can install on my kaiser to make it easier to copy files from-to my Kaiser?
P.S. yes, i turned off the convert settings..
u tried WM5 storage? might not work but worth a try.
tried the wm5torage program. It seems to work on WM6 but again, I was nailed by the NEED TO FORMAT error similarly to when I put the mem card in my reader.
I downloaded a free PPC FTP client and am currently FTPing files to my desktop.
what a pain
Hi
I wanna know is there a possibility in HTC S710 where in I can say copy all files or folders (so i can paste elswhere)
Always when I receive multiple files from my frnds or trf content from my Pc via Blutooth i want it to select it all together or a couple of them to paste in my MMC card or some folder...
Any Idea abt this.(may be using other software)
Resco Explorer is able to send multiple files / folders via bluetooth and can also handle copying multiple files / folders to another destination on your device / card.
Howdy all,
Just picked up a Gtab today from Office Depot (they match Sears pricing of $349 with no restocking fee).
I also purchased a couple of 4gb MicroSDHC cards to play around with the different ROMs Reobeet and others are developing. Great job guys..keep up the great work.
Here's my question.. Can I access the SDcard2 on my Gtab from my Windows 7 file explorer? When I connect the Gtab to the PC via USB, I see the Gtab as my E:\ drive. Opening up the E:\ drive shows the following folders:
.android_secure
Android
backups
DCIM
download
LOST.DIR
But not the SDCARD2 or any of the other directories or files is see from the Gtab ES File Explorer.
What do I need on the Windows 7 PC to view and manage files on the Gtab, internal storage and the SDcard2?
Thanks for your help.. I think I'm going to like learning how to Mod my Gtab.
Great work guys and a great forum to share information.
Sincerely,
Gramps..

- Drive E as you see is GTab internal 16GB SDcard.
I don't think you can access SDcard2 via windows ( I know I can't).
Please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
I did some google searching and found this andriod APK which allowed me to access both the internal memory of the Gtab and the MicroSDHC (SDCard2) memory.
SwiFTP FTP Server
http://www.addictivetips.com/mobile/map-android-phone-in-windows-7-to-access-root-files-over-wifi/
This Android application converts your phone/*Gtab* into an FTP server which is accessible by a unique FTP IP generated by the app. You then map the FTP IP to your Windows PC and tada.. you can access your Gtab data (all of it).
See the link above for download and instructions.
Gramps...
Gramps,
If you indeed are going to "play" with mods, then go ahead and side-load a copy of "r4root" and root your tablet.
When you root your tablet, you will be able to see the "/" root directory which has sdcard (your main memory), sdcard2 (your SD cards external), and USBdisk (the directory for your USB port).
I think you should have ES File Manager (right name?) on your stock machine and it may let you see the root directories -- but I'm not sure about accessing them.

Thanks for asking this Gramps, I was wondering it myself. I did the ftp solution and it works great.
Hi there, so im sick and tired of usb cables and file sharing over the web (slow internet), so id like to share my photos from my android phone (note 2, jb) to my pc (win7) over wifi. I tried many different file managers and none seem to be able to send files from android to pc, for me only es file manager was able to connect to pc and it can download files from pc, but cannot upload. When i try to share any files from android, it says please check your wireless connection or try hotspot. I have tried hotspot too but didnt work either, same message..if anyone got this to work please help me. Thanks!

yes i have both but the sd card is protected, my pc cannot use it with the reader. also, taking the back cover off every time to copy photos...rather use the cable. but i just wanna get the es file explorer to work.
es explorer send by LAN
Hi. I tried the same thing. Went to a photo in my gallery, selected it and tried to Send by LAN. Got the same message. I can browse my PC from ES file explorer easily and copy paste files from my phone to my PC smoothly. But then this feature should work as well. Any advice? I have also tried sharing a specific folder on my PC with all permissions.
Thanks
JB is very protective with its contents... Did you try Airdroid?
I used to use an FTP server app for transferring files from my computer to my sd card. Recently this has stopped working. I understand that it is because of an update in kitkat that makes the permissions for reading, writing, and executing files more stringent. I'm familiar with linux, so I'm guessing I need to make a folder on my sd card with rwx permissions for the ftp app, right? Or is the issue more complicated than that? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
