I have my i8260 for 2 years now but the battery life was shorter and shorter as the time passed. Firstly I thought it was firmware problem so I tried flashing official and custom ROMs - nothing. Next I've bought new original battery from Samsung store and it's still the same. From time to time my i8260 reboots itself and the battery (old and new same) value is a lot lower than it was before reboot (i can't post screenshot as I'm new member...). As for now battery life is approx. 4-5hrs on stanby mode od official firmware. Any ideas?
Thanks for help!
I have rooted i8260 and I tried bettery calibraton/factory reset.

Hello i have my i8260 rooted with twrp recovery, also i am in stock rom. One week after flashing a problem showed up. After complete charging i notice that battery is stuck in 99% for 5-6 hours and then its force close. The duration of battery is ok but i cant see the residual, do i have to wipe dalvik cache/cache? is there anyway to fix it showing the right number?
I have a strange problem with my phone gt-s7582 cm12.1 7 DEC build first of all, I have battery drain sometimes from 15% to 0% and sometimes from 30% to 0% and not only in cm12.1 but also on the stock rom but this not the problem actually this OK for me. the strange problem is that I can't charge my phone to 100% at first I could only charge to 94% then after 2 days I could charge to 75% only and now I can't charge more than 60%. I have bought 2 batteries and the problem even with the stock rom . something else that when I change the battery I get the same battery %. so if now the phone says that the battery is 40% and I changed the battery it will give me 40%. please anyone tell me how can I solve these problems.

bro just replace the custom rom with default stock rom and search for some other rom for ur phone which is battery efficient
OK but these problems is the same in the stock so I don't think there is a problem in cm

what I'm saying is flash your device with stock rom and then find a rom which has a proper battery configuration.
I'm on CM12.1 latest nightly and ZD Kernal.
Actually I've been facing this problem for about a month.
The problem is that the battery drain in a very strange way when I reboot the phone.
For example today my battery was 60% when I reboot the phone it was 24%.
And I know that if I didn't reboot it will last for the last drop.
I tried to reflash the ROM and I flashed other kernals and CM12/13/11 with the same problem.
Please help I think that this thing will damage the battery because it will over charge it??!!

Greetings and welcome to assist. The first thing I would do is change my charger/lead. Playing games can drain the battery quicker than the phone can charge, upgrading your charger might help or using a custom kernel to increase the charging current(this one is dangerous if you don't know what you are doing)
Good Luck

hey guys! my phone keeps dying when I'm using it at 30% of battery... was working fine with the original firmware... I tried to "calibrate" the battery, leting reach 0% just with the screen on (took hours from 20 to 0), and then charging to 100%.. I did 2 or 3 times... is not working. could change the kernel solve my problem? already tried an calibration app (the most popular in the play store). My phone is Moto Maxx XT1225. I love the custom ROM (lineage os unofficial 15.1 - oreo 8.1). everything works fine, and I don't wanna come back to android 6...
I tried manually deleting the batterystats.bin, still not working. please help! thank you!
