so i have a question how do i change the flip case wallpaper - Blu Pure XL

i just recently got this phone and and i love the flip case but i would love to know how to change the wallpaper that appears with the flip case.

Flipcase wallpaper
With the flipcase closed, press on the screen twice to change pic. Unfortunately there are only the 5 pics that came with the phone to choose from.

Is there any way to add new pictures?

According to the sticker on the flip case, you either swipe up or down in the window to change the background image. For me, oddly enough, it only works if I swipe down. Swiping up does nothing.
Double tapping doesn't work if you enabled the double-tap to sleep functionality.

I've looked into it and found out a way to add new pictures. I've made a guide here that you can follow.

Hello.
I have a simple question, is there any way to control Spotify with the flip cover closed. I mean, to get access to the controls (next, previous song, start/stop) from the flip cover window.
If this is possible, maybe there's a eway to change the flip cover background by syncing with the album art.
Thank you.

where can I get a replacement flip cover for my Blu Pure XL that turns the phone on and off? Mine is starting to crack and BLU is no help at all

[Q] How to set up orientation change on droid x homescreen?

Basically the question is how to make it so when you turn your droid x to the side (horizontal) the home screen changes with the move?
As far as I know, the only way the home screen shows horizontal is when it's in the car or multimedia dock
You could use LauncherPro to do this

Yea, most of the alternate launchers do this. I use ADW and it has a setting for it.
I ended up turning it back off though. What looks like a 'normal' layout in portrait, always looks funny to me when compressed vertically and stretched horizontally.
It annoyed me, so I leave mine in portrait unless car-docked.
Just my opinion

[Q] Edge Flip Cover - not showing notifications?

I have the Verizon version of the Edge with the flip cover and when I receive a text message (for example) the notification doesn't show up with the flip cover closed. Is it supposed to show the notification?

I'll let you know. I just got my flip cover but haven't put it on yet. I'll be back in about 30 min to let you know
Cool - to be more specific, text message notifications don't seem to show up. Meeting reminders, phone calls do show up. I've verified in the Text message settings that "Edge Screen" is checked in the notification options but when that flip cover is covering the display it doesn't seem to work.
Will be curious about your findings.

Text messages showed up for me. I texted myself and hurry up and closed the cover and the entire message scrolled downward on the edge panel
Did you disable Flipboard in settings? Had the same problem till I enabled it.

If you mean having flipboard being the page before the home page then yes I have it enabled. One thing I don't like about this wallet cover is that the cover won't actually sit flat on the face of the phone.

I had same problem. Just take the cover off, and then crimp the fold with your fingers in a pinch 3-4 times. That solved the problem. Now have flip for 3 weeks and it stays flat.

Interestingly I figured out what the problem was. I also have a Moto 360 and when the Android Wear is installed and set to receive notification (which don't work either -- posting another thread) the phone will not show text message notifications on the edge screen with the flip cover shut.
Really kind of dumb. I've proven this out numerous times by uninstalling Android wear, then notifications start working on the edge screen with the cover shut. Install Android Wear, enable it to see notifications -- then the edge screen stops working.
Oh well.

[Q] Samsung flip case makes night clock upside down

I always use night clock and it works fine til I got the flip case. The night clock becomes upside down during flip case closing. And it returns to normal if the flip is opened. Do you have the same issue and how can you fix it?
Thank you
I use the night clock also and don't have that issue. Do you have your phone set to left handed for the edge screen? Or try picking it up and tilt the edge screen downwards
Already tried everything including, left hand, screen rotation. And the night clock remain upside down
I've Flip Wallet and I do not have this problem either.
Why don't you turn off auto rotation and see if that works
Sorry not wrong on mine either but when scroll the edge screen it flips upside down.
Screen rotation is on, left hand is off.

I have same problem. I also notice that if my screen is off with flip wallet open then night clock is in normal position. When Flip wallet is closed night clock is up side down.
Auto rotation on/off not change anything.
One more thing I noticed some times night clock is together with alarm, sometimes is with my home time. When it is with my home time - home date is not always correct. Presently I'm 7 hours off my home time and night clock show present and home time with same date.
OK I found reason why there are two clocks - in lock screen/show information there is position "Dual Clock" it is responsible for show one or two clocks on edge as nigth clock.
But still problem with wrong date and up side down clock remain.
I send message to Samsung - answer - there will be patch for this
Lolipop solve problem

Active/Ambient Display on S6?

Is there a way to make active/ambient display on S6 just like in the Moto X series which display a single clock and notifications every time a notification comes or you wave your hands close to it or take it out of the pocket?
As S6 habe that screen from the Clear View case, probably it should be easy to show the same screen in the active/ambient display ocasions.
The S6 has the option of waving your hands when it is laying flat to view your notifications.
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
AcDisplay is an app that mimics ambient display. Try that out.
Yeah, I know that the S6 has the option to wave your hands to show the screen, but it shows the full screen colored and everything, which would be bad battery-wise. Probably would be nice to just light up some pixels like the ambient display on Moto X as the S6 also have an AMOLED display.
I also know about AC Display, but it seems that adding it just adds another lockscreen in front of the default one and if you use it as your default lockscreen, it can't work with the fingerprint reader to unlock, is that correct?
It just doesn't seem too difficult to pop the same screen as the Clear View Case on waving the hands in front of the phone or when getting notifications. If it isn't possible to do it with the built-in software, they are missing a great opportunity here.

Swipe from the bottom notification window

Has there ever been a tweak or mod where you can have your notification window come from the bottom instead of top? Seems it would be a great feature with the additional screen size.

Nova launcher can do that with gestures. Or there's a setting in the phone to swipe down on the fingerprint sensor to pull the notification panel down or back up.
What I was meaning is kinda like the control center on the iphone when you swipe up from the bottom of the screen. Just totally move the notification screen to the bottom of the screen once you swipe up.
The furthest you're going to reach your finger is to swipe down from the top for the notification window so why not put it at the bottom being that it's something being used a lot through out the day.
I will say samsung has done a lot for reachability just that one little thing I think would make a huge deal.

Sorry, looks like that feature hasn't been around since ICS.
I'm curious if it's even possible with a custom rom. I always questioned this too. When I had the iPhone 4, I hated switching to iOS 6, but the swipe up from the bottom to access your quick settings was a stroke of genius and got me to actually enjoy it even more after jailbreaking it because you could tweak the odd cosmetics.
iPhone was able to do it through a software update. Why can't Android? What's the limitation and what makes it so limited that no one has been able to accomplish this? Genuine question and interest.
Galaxy S8+ is a phenomenal phone that I think will take quite a bit to outdo it, but the biggest problem with having massive screens is reaching those quick settings. Even with the edge bar, it's still not the same. And the swipe gesture with the fingerprint scanner is neat but that doesn't get you the quick settings a person needs with one hand as well as accessing the notifications.
It would very nice to have that reversed. I have big hands and it's still a pain to always have to use the phone with two hands for those quick things people like to do. Like adjusting brightness, muting, flashlight, Bluetooth etc.
Maybe one day they'll realize people still hold their phones with one hand every now and again and try to tailor that there notification panel accordingly :silly:

It is possible!
It can be done even with an app.
but it can be confusing because of Navigation Buttons at the bottom.
and in this way using this on custom rom can be better >> set nav bars little bit higher and then notification bar below that.......
I think after this idea you will see lots of mods and apps
If I decide to do it I will inform you
I always wanted that swipe down for quick access to controls in ios on Android. Why haven't they implemented that yet? Took them many years to have a "night mode" on Android.

Have never really understood the ergonomics of it. Bottom Status Bar should at least be an Xposed Module!
