AS99511a ? - LG G Flex 2

So, I have nTelos and I know that they're being bought out by Sprint.. or already have... but I was wondering if anyone knew of a root for this version of the Flex 2.... 5.1.1
Also, with nTelos being bought out, will I get an OTA update to switch to Sprint OS/Software? I don't understand how this works >_<

you should follow the rooting guide for sprint phone but to make a backup of your system image and upload it somewhere and post the link in the same forum for a MOD to root the img.

U.S. Cellular - Galaxy S III rooting?

Today my U.S. cellular Galaxy S III should finally make it here. I apolgize if this is a "noob" question, and have been reading through the forums.
It appears i should get a SCH-R530 model from reading today in the mail. With it being so close to Verizon model, will any of the Verizon ways to root the S3 work with the US Cellular version? If not is there any way currently to root a U.S. Cellular S3?
Thanks for any help

If I'm not mistaken the root method for the VZW SIII should work on that phone. HOWEVER, the same image that is in the dev forum SHOULD NOT be used. It is the stock Verizon with su and Superuser.apk added.
If samsung-updates.com drops a stock image of your phone a system.img can be built so that is flashable via Odin. Regardless, before you go flashing anything you should make sure you have that stock image around so you can get back to square one if anything odd should come up.
EDIT:
If you're interested in building the rooted system image here is the thread where they actually were able to build a clean root from the stock Verizon dump: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1762204 It's not a pretty process. The actual instructions used came from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1739426 I didn't see a drop for the US Cell image yet, but I could be missing it. I can be of some help later this evening if nothing has come up.
Root / Recovery / Custom ROM USCC Galaxy S III
I was able to root my USCC SGS3 using Team Epics directions at epiccm.org/2012/06/cwm-recovery-on-all-sgs3-lte-variants.htm
Make sure to apply root.zip. At some point the OTA updated OS so now overwrites custom recovery.
I have Samsungs default ROM on a rooted S3 with CWM recovery. Now onto CM10 (M snapshot). Heard it was very stable.
get.cm/?type=snapshot
Just used the Samsung easy update tool to get LK5 on my USCC GSIII (OTA update failed) but want to get root again without tripping the flash counter. Thoughts?

Hi! It seems you're in a sticky situation with the GS3, 4.4.2, root and Knox.
I found an excellent thread that has some good info about everything you've asked about. You could ask further questions there as well. But read it all very carefully!!

HELP ROOT/UNROOT 10d new to all android and LG

Model H950
SOFT VERSION H950 10D
I'm searching here and didn't found a post which wold resume everything and don't want to mess up all this.
This thread is to not mess everything up cause I've read the unbrick and all those stories.
1. Want to root
2. Want to use this post to find hidden files > Internal Memory Data Recovery
3. Want to unroot and restore to factory default for me to get to ota update to 5.1.1
Haven't got the update cause this is a at&t phone and Im outside the USA. So I want to be able to unroot so when I go to the states or when someone comes with a at&t sim with service Ill get the ota and stay factory.
Also haven't root cuz I think I need to do an image or a backup of my original system before rooting so I can unroot? So I don't want to start before I got everything clear.
Also will be reaading this post to know more about this tool. Easy Restore, Unroot
All views and no reply??? Help !!! stuck in this decisions.
Any1? Really?

Needing help upgrading to Marshmallow on VS985

I have an LG G3 VS985 for Verizon. Since I am not directly on Verizon's service I can't receive the updates OTA. I am currently still on 4.4.2. What I am trying to figure out is if there is a way to just install the updates through my PC instead but maybe without having to root the phone. I have found this guide that says it upgrades the phone to marshmallow but I don't want to do it if it will mess my phone up going from 4.4.2 to 6.0. If anyone has any suggestions to help me with this that would be great or if anyone thinks that guide will work just fine please let me know.
The guide I saw online is here: mylgphones.com/how-to-flash-android-6-0-m-stock-firmware-on-lg-vs985-using-lg-up-software
If you don't have any suggestions on how to do it without root then go ahead and let me know of a good root and rom to use that you'd suggest and I will check it out. Thanks!

Root for Verizon Prepaid Galaxy j7?

Hi,
I was wondering if there is a root method for the Samsung Galaxy j7 Verizon's 2017 edition (SM-J727VPP). Is it even possible? I read that the bootloader for verizon phones are locked so you can't root them. Is this correct?
Thanks.
I'm on the same boat. I love the phone but not sure how to root it. Anyone know if the other root methods work for this phone?
I just bought this phone as well. Anyone dedicated into developing an unlock method for the bootloader and custom recovery would greatly be appreciated.

I haven't tried on this one yet (scared) but with Verizon's bootloader I know that its pretty much permanently locked.
... at the very least for now,
Meaning, it MAY be possible to get root BUT that would b where the road ended... no custom roms.... etc.
Root better than nothing.

Maybe you can try the app in this video for Windows looks like it has a big list of various Samsung models
I tried the link in the video but it takes you to a 4shared link that seems kind of spammy so I searched for the file on Google and found it eventually about to try it on the PC right now..
Tried it its a jtag app that need a box to flash firmware
We need to find a 7.1 n root exploits that work or find a way to dump the firmware I can't find any restore firmwares online yet

I have the stock firmware for j727VPP, the QB2 bootloader version to be exact, which is stock. It's Odin flushable , if u need it for any reason restore or w.e let me know n send me an email @ [email protected] . Also, Verizon just came out with a update for j727vpp which changed the bootloader to QF3. Do not update, otherwise going back to QB2 will be near impossible and if anyone does come out with a root then it will be for the QB2, not EF3 bootloader. But, if u already did update and need the EF3 firmware for restore purposes I have that as well, except it is in a ENC4 format, which is a RAW format for firmware. U will need to decrypt it with 7Zip to Tar or Md5 in order to be able to flash it. Like i said email me - [email protected] and I'll provide u with whatever files u need.

Any root yet?
Is there a working root method available for this phone yet? There are a few websites that claim to be able to root it, but I don't want to take a chance and brick my phone. Thanks.
