Didn't use Boeffla for a while, but there's an app dedicated to Boeffla's kernel settings.
Check it all here :

Boeffla kernel has On Screen sweep 2 wake functionality. I am using it currently.

I'm on SlimKat build 3 and I can't make work BLN/BLD on default kernel, even I activated from advanced option and I tried NStools.
The only way is by installing devil kernel+nstools, and BLN is working only on calls.
Can anyone fix this?

I can`t confirm. Im running Stable (Version 3), too. Works like a charm for me for calls, whatsapp ....
I`m using BLN Control free from PlayStore. Try this....
Did you go to "Settings" -> "Advanced Options" -> "Device"? There`s a Notification Light Option as well...

yes, i tried that. default kernel + nstools/bln control free from market is not light'up my keys at all. devil kernel+nstools works only on cals, every other notifications - not.
i'm on slimkat v3, clean install (wipe all - system/data/cache)

Found this fix on SlimKat thread: BLN Fix for RC2. It's for RC2 but still worth a shot. Report the bug on SlimKat thread or in SlimCenter to help the devs.

BLN Fix for RC2 is not working on V3. I have same behavior width devil kernel, works only on calls.
I do not have permission to post on SlimKat thread.
On build 3.2 BLN is working width default kernel + NStools, but again only on calls.
No other complains about SlimKat

Can you tell me if there's also the option to enable BLD?
It's almost the only thing i miss from my previous ROM...
BLD is not implemented (i think) in default kernel, in NStools is not showing any options for BLD, only for BLN.

Thank you!! so it's kernel related...
it's a pity cause it's the only feature i miss and i'm satisfied with the default kernel, i wouldn't like to change it just for one thing
I ported Sweep2Wake and DoubleTap2Wake features to CM11 kernel.
(S2W/DT2W kernel for Sense rom is here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=52678000)
Features:
- Sweep2Wake
Sweep2wake (S2W) allows you to wake up your device by swiping your finger across the capacitive buttons from left to right.
Swiping from right to left will put it back to sleep (sweep2sleep).
/sys/android_touch/sweep2wake
0=disabled
1=enable sweep2wake and sweep2sleep (default)
2=enable sweep2sleep only
- DoubleTap2Wake
DoubleTap2Wake (DT2W) allows you to wake the device by double tapping the screen.
/sys/android_touch/doubletap2wake
0=disabled
1=enable doubletap2wake (default)

Many thanks for your support of our One mini's. Would this work on other builds of CM11 like the SlimKat port that has just surfaced, or is this just for standalone CM11?

thanks! S2W and T2W are working just fine! but the cpu governor is stuck at performance, you can't change it.
Can you port your kernel to our sense 6 port ROM?
It would be awesome
Is this kernel are compatible with stock 4.4.2 ROM? If not, is possible to port it?
Im a big sense fan on 5.5....but these features along is really making me want to switch to c,11
another problem: I can't install any App. via play store and apks. "invalid file package" or something similar.
changed back to another kernel and everything was working. back to this and problem was back.
I also wiped play store cache & data - not helping.

This kernel is just for standalone CM11 and is not compatible with stock 4.4.2 ROM. Sorry.
I have no plan to port S2W/DT2W to the stock 4.4.2 kernel. My patch will be helpful for porting.
By the way, stock Sense 6.0 will have Motion Launch gestures that support S2W/DT2W.

I am using 0424 nightly with my kernel and there is no problem.
Please update to the latest nightly and retry.
I was using the same nightly.
maybe it's caused by flashify. just started to use this a week ago. will test with normal fastboot flashing when back home from work. I should really install ADB in our office
EDIT: the governor problem was only with CM internal settings. kernel tuner was able to change the gov.

I wish I had the same kernel for STOCK SENSE-based ROM.
Many thanks to @kyasu.

I ported S2W/DT2W to sense kernel.
See: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=52678000
@kyasu - thanks for this kernel. I have a question - did you also experience this?
a) When I drive and have Google Maps on, the phone is constantly discharging even if it is connected to my car charger. (app. minus 5 % in 30 minutes)
b) When I do the same, but I am on any SENSE-based ROM, the phone is charging. (app. plus 7% in 30 minutes.)
Do you have any ideas?

Well MIUI is sense based so you should be able to use a sense kernel like Elemental X for doubletap 2 wake. Make a back up then try it.
Your can also try the app Knockr, but I haven't had much success with it.
Im will try, hope it work well...^^

So I was flashing roms and stuff, but the only issues I had with custom roms is that there was no switch to disable dt2w. I personally use dt2w, as our mido has a massive battery life. But ofc, many don't like it. So here it is. Flashable zips to both enable and disable double tap to wake. Just flash in recovery over any rom. Do not flash over miui roms, as there is already a switch.
Ps. The kernel source is out now, so a switch for dt2w will be out soon. But till then, you can use this workaround

If you are rooted, you can run this command from a root terminal
Code:
echo "0" > /proc/touchpanel/enable_dt2w
You will need to do it on each reboot (eg, via an init.d script, or perhaps with something like Kernel Adiutor).
With or without root?
Hi, does this work without root? If so would you explain in detail how to do it?
I absolutely hate double tap to wake!
Also any tests with android 8.1?
Will this also work on Android One?

Is it good for land
sorry out of topic, but how to double tap to sleep the screen?
Switch donot work in miui 11 rom...so need a zip to disable it...there is no option in kernel auditor app to disable DT2W...please help

P.S. The Installed/Flashed Rom/Kernel Must Support The Feature Of DT2W (DoubleTap2Wake)

UD kernel and SomeFeak kernels also support DT2W.
Here's the link for -
UD kernel : https://forum.xda-developers.com/2015-moto-g/development/ultradevs-kernel-osprey-t3512361/page14
SomeFeak kernel :
https://forum.xda-developers.com/20...l-somefeak-moto-g-2015-3rd-gen-t3622936/page6
Be aware that dt2w is a big battery consumer with the hardware in this device, to do it the digitizer must be kept powered all the time, meaning an additional 2-3% per hour idle drain in battery above "normal".
