Ok, first of all i am really sorry that it caused bootloop...
The problem is that it is not for stock roms but for cm based roms but i tweaked the zip file a little bit ....
So could you please try this file and tell us all whether it worked....

Swipe from left. Then find video icon. Click on it and there will be two options slow mo and HD. Then click on slo mo. Enjoy.

@www1 for also pointing out some files where making the camera not force close! @noooooo is a confirmer he also tested and confirmed this is working @pedro_cardinal mentioned it didn't work for him (don't know what he's base was but I assume it was someone that didn't work) @biggy81168 for confirming and pointing out (some missing libs?)
Also told that animte effect works! @kendragon testing and reporting

This is tested and being working on Touchwiz 4.3 rom. Yet its not fully working!

After finding and wasting many hours finally i have found new camera application by cyanogenmod which came in 11S (4.4.2) in one plus one mobile OS. I pulled them out and installed them to check it works or not and it worked. Only bug i found is while recording video it does not take photo's. May be someone advance user can fix it

UPDATE:
People for those its not working, please try by pushing the apk's to system/app also works (I have not tested this), permissions, installing apk after pushing in system/app, restarting device can also help. Please try all of them if you want. As camera app is pulled from cm11s which is Android 4.4.x so camera would also need Android 4.4.x to work (thanks to @TokedUp for clarifying)

Working great on my GT I9300 running Resurrection Remix 5.1.1 also it does not replace my default gallery app and camera app i just have two apps with same name
and thats how i wanted it to be i wanted the default apps to remain.

One small things though the Galley app does lag a bit its not very fluid but i can live with that.

Gallery app takes time to generate cache, its my personal view as after installing gallery app i saw only few snaps, after some time there was more and more and more..... i think gallery app generate some kind of database or build cache to works

its exclusive made to only run on a cm11/cm12 but you can try other roms it has been reported to be working on some , its should be in the playstore but i cant find it there , probably youneed a oneplus one cm11s to get you hands one it ,so i decided to post the apk here..
didnt test much yet, but as far as i got everything seems to be working on my note 3 running cm11/cm12

Tested camera itself, panorama mode and video recording, all worked fine. Did not mess around with the settings much because they were pretty ok set up for my basic camera needs

Tested this heavily. Seems like default aosp camera work better than this one. One default aosp camera. It has Better quality. Better auto focus during recording
I dont have cm, and just installing the camera doesnt work.
Can someone who has cm tell me where it should be located? data/app, system/app or system/priv-app?
Because I got Trebuchet working by moving it to priv-app, maybe it works the same way with this
PS: Its not a Note either otherwise i'd just install cm!

extract the HTCam.zip>go to system>the go to priv-app> the install both camera and gallery as normal apk....
I tried on my Xperia Z1 lollipop 5.1.1
Unfortunately I got camera has stopped and gallery has stopped also
Can you fix it

Then try this....
extract the HTCam.zip>go to system>the go to priv-app> the install both camera and gallery as normal apk....
tell us if it works

Are you getting FC on iso mode?
Not Working on my OnePlus 2.. Getting FC both on Camera and Gallery
cam working fine on my Mi4, except video freezes the cam.
on my Mx4 video and photos are working, but both with a strong magenta tint.

Hey evreyone,im glad to announce this... AudioFX are now compatible with any custom rom (aosp or cm based)
EDIT: compatibile only with the aosp/cm build maked between february and april, use at own risk on any other recents build
i have maked a flashable zip with the audio fx contained on the ResurrectionRemix
Tested on:
Nexus 5 with CM13 Snapshot and with PureNexus
Nexus 6 with CM13 Snapshot and ResurrectionRemix
Nexus 9 with AICP
Before Start:

The second zip is graphically the same but have some feauture under the hood..(like maxxaudiofx bass and virtualizer from maxxaudiofx)

Doesn't seem to work on COS ROMs
Am on temasek's unofficial CM13.1 ROM v9.7 (actually based off COS for the last couple of releases, the developer is yet to change the name to reflect the same).
When I open the app, it's a blank window the Audio FX title bar. Long pressing on effects in Poweramp says "Audio FX has stopped".
Anyway to fix this? Or is it an inherent limitation that it won't work on COS ROMs?

There's no uninstaller yet, as far as I know.
All you have to do is dirty flash your ROM to get it off.

Does not work with RR on OnePlus X. FC and Blank screen.

Does this support DSP? I need to lower the bass (aka. night mode).

i want to be onest...i'm building a my personal rom with this apk and this permission files (that files are inside this zip) and it works, but if i flash the same package with the same files don't work.
so it works only if it's compiled inside the rom
