"Junks found" in notifications - Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi, my notification menu in Lollipop has started occasionally showing a broom icon with "250 mb junks found" (or whatever number). I don't have a cleaner app installed on my tablet, though, and I haven't been browsing to places that'd install malware. Is this some stupid Samsung bloat app? And if so, how can I disable it?
I'm on an SM-P905V, by the way.

Probably try task manager settings long press the notification and if it pops up a message saying ignore like this but I would think its the task manager if its not a file manager I know a couple that do that that's why I only use root browser from jrummy hope that helps

The way to tell is to long press the notification in the notification shade. Then tap on the exclamation point icon that appears on that notification. This will take you to the App Info screen of the application that displayed the notification.

The broom icon belongs to Clean Master. Doesn't necessarily means you've got that one installed, but all apps by Cheetah Mobile have a tiny bit of Clean Master included for advertising purposes. (Like File Manager) Other apps also come with those adverts.

[Q] App request/idea - Notifications Pop up

Hello Everyone,
I`ve got an idea of an app to read all the notifications from the android status bar and show them in the pop up window (similar to the iphone) with the buttons to dismiss it or open the appropariate app to deal with the occurence.
I find android status bar notifications a bit annoying due to the need to slide the top bar down and press the actual notification to deal with it or dismiss it.
There are pop ups available for texts and missed calls via third party apps and there are similar ones for notifications from gmail, voicemail and facebook possibly, but I don`t want to instal 10 apps to get all notifications as a pop up.
It would be handy to have an app to read the info about all notifications from the status bar and transfer it to a nice pop up window with simple two buttons to dismiss it (mark as read and remove from the status bar) or to go into the proper app to deal with it further.
There is an app called Vibration Notifier which seems to do a bit of the above - read all of the notifications from the status bar and then remind about them in the set intervals by either vibrating or vibrating and sound. The developer of this app did the job by getting the permission (from the user) to go via android`s accessibilty mode. I`d love to see someone going further that road and do the pop up window.
Has anyone seen such an application or maybe anyone willing to write one?
I`ve got no idea how to do the coding / developing stuff - sorry ;-)
Thanks for any replies.
Tommy.

Stop clear notifications from clearing an app

How can I stop pushing clear at the bottom right of the notifications pull-down from closing an app, specifically the DI.FM app, it's an Internet radio app and sometimes I like to clear all the apps when it's running. I want to not clear the DI notification (which also has some music controls on it) as it stops playing when it's cleared. Please don't suggest swipe away all but DI, it doesn't answer the question. Thanks for reading hope you can help.
You can't.
Why even remove recent apps? It speeds things up when you need to open them again.
Not the recent apps list, the apps in the notification area although I do clear apps from task manager too as some apps like Chrome carry on stealing cpu and battery when they're in the background.

Android/IOS App that allow you to alert someone just by tapping the icon

similar to a old app - YO
but i want something that is more simple - just tap the icon and it automatically alert/send message to selected person w/o the icon opening
or maybe it will open and then close automatically
its like pinging someone with just a tap

Physical World App

This app has appeared on my home screen after I updated numerous apps from Google Play.
I can find no information about it. No idea what it does. It does not appear in Settings - Apps nor does it have a widget. I've attached a screenshot of my home screen when the app is started. It adds a curved set of lines across the lower part of the screen and a icon in top right corner that when pressed, returns the screen to its original form.
Can anyone share information about this app?
I've had this exact same thing happen. Weirdly, this posting is the only thing I can find *anywhere* on the internet. It doesn't show up when I display the apps in Application Manager, which is pretty bizarre (and it's not sorted in alphabetical order in my app drawer).
Do you use GoLauncher? They've been touting something about making icons dance when you shake the phone, though that's not *quite* the behavior we see here.
Interestingly (and a bit scarily), when I long-pressed on it to delete it - it disappeared rather than displaying with the 'x' in the corner that would let me uninstall it.
An update: I re-sorted my app drawer again and it appeared. When I long-pressed and then pressed the X to uninstall it, I got a message saying "You will not be able to use the shortcut in App Drawer anymore, sure to delete it?".
I'm 99.999% sure this is more odd behavior from Go Launcher - which has become more annoying with every new release, to the point where I'm considering getting rid of it (sudden ads on lockscreen? Sudden pulldown notifications blocking the screen with no way to get rid of 'em?).
I can't imagine a *less* useful shortcut for them to offer, honestly!
I Agee. I have Go Launcher also and I have the same mystery app on my home screen. My daughter thinks it's pretty cool!

Question LenovoServices is running

The past few updates and now this "Lenovo Services" app is now constantly running. I've tried to force stop it; nope. I can't "mute" the notification.
Any of you even know what this app is? When did it get installed and for what purpose is it there?
Thanks.

I've been regularly updating (Xiaoxin Pad Pro / P11 Pro) but never encountered "Lenovo Services". I do have "Device Service" (package name com.lenovo.lsf.device) which wants to connect to AliCloud in Germany a couple of times per day. I don't allow it on my software firewall (currently NoRoot Firewall), so no notifications from there.

I just double-checked and it is indeed there. I will post a screenshot if that helps you. Furthermore, I'm unable to uninstall it or remove the notification that it is running.
I checked the app, and it has no permissions granted other than "draw over other apps" but nothing for storage or location or contacts.
I'm on a US device if that makes a difference. Someone here must have the same thing I would assume?
I do have the same service running on mine and unable to hide it from notifications.
Time to go play in the Registry...
At least there is a way to "hide it" see here: https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Lenovo...ervices-is-Running/m-p/5083807?page=2#5447336
swipe down to see the "LenovoServices is running" notification and tap on it, it goes to the app settings page
Here you have 2 options
tap on Force Stop, it stops the notification but also the service itself (which is probably not a big problem, I've received an update, today, with this service killed). No notification in the status bar, no notification in the pull-down
Or
tap Notifications, DownloadService
there you see two main options, Alerting and Silent, it's on Alerting
switch to Silent and tap Minimise, notification gone from status bar but it's still in the pull-down, service still running

Good info. Thanks. Although still no explanation as to what it's doing or, how it got on there in the first place.
