Spoof Lounge & What's New location? - Xperia Z5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

This is a shot in the dark, but I figured why not ask.
The situation is that I have the Made for Bond Z5, but I can't download the theme and Moneypenny blog because I'm located in the US and it seems that its region specific content. Is there any way to spoof the location of my device so I can download the theme and blog through the proper channels? I know the theme can be sideloaded, but it just doesn't make sense as to why I can't download it anyway, no matter where im at.
I've tried enabling developer options and enabling mock locations, a vpn, and a gps spoofer. None of which seemed to bring me any results. Can somebody shed some light on this?

+1 I have tried everything as well, to no avail. In US also with Vodafone Germany device.

Android 1.6 has no VPN setup

Hi,
Hoping someone might be able to provide info to figure something out. I bought a acer liquid and when I go to wireless controls in the settings menu, there is no "VPN Setup" menu item. I have contacted Acer support but they are hopeless!!!
Can anyone thing as to why the VPN menu is missing? Would it be that something configure wrongly at build time of the rom/system.img? Is there something I can edit on the phones system to enable this menu?
I have been extracting system.img files for my phone rom as well as HTC Hero and the android emulators, to make comparisons and see if something is different that might give me VPN setup back. No luck so far. About to download the android source code to investigate further. Hope someone can shed soem light on the matter for me.
Cheers!

Thanks for the reply but I have google searched already. Not looking to install a VPN app when android 1.6 support it. I see the VPN setup option on the emulator but it not on my phone and the acer manual even has a section stating how to setup VPN. Yes its not there on android and Acer just never reply. hopeless.
I suspect there is no answer except acer need to rebuild and release an update but just hoping someone might have seen this before on android v1.6 and up.

[Q] RedPhone Beta v0.4.3 APK anyone? VoIP end-to-end encryption!

Does anyone have the APK of Thoughcrime Labs' RedPhone Beta v.0.4.3?
Although I have Market Enabler installed on my phone, and selected a USA based provider, I just can not download that app from the market, it simply does not show up and can not be found when searched for.
This link is working in a browser: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.thoughtcrime.redphone&feature
I tried to find the APK, and only found some old links, which are all dead now.
Can anyone here please share that app?
The description tells (US-only for BETA), but that does not seem to apply anymore for v0.4.3, which is already supporting international use.
Or does anybody know another software with similar functionality of VoIP end-to-end encryption?
Nobody any idea, really?
Nobody interested in making securely encrypted phone calls?
Or is RedPhone not working any more since the takeover of Thoughcrime Labs by the Twitter company?
As mentioned, the software can be found in the Market by the provided link above, but I can not download it, either because I am outside the U.S. (and Market Enabler did not help either), or because my phone is not listed as supported device (howsoever).
Any help please?
i hope one help youuuuu
Good question!
I posted something similar some months ago, when suddenly that app disappeared (completely) from internet. But since we all know that this just can't happen under normal circumstances, we detect a smell of conspiracy...involving (US gov't owned) twitter.
Anyway, your Google-Fu is weak by today's standards, since I found it here: http://tmd888.vicp.net/android/1/10002.html
Download it quick before it vanishes again. I have not tried this yet, so please post your results. It's possible that it doesn't allow you to use it outside a US network, since you need to "register" your phone with a whisper server (!), but you could always try to hack the app (for experimental purposes only, of course). Preferably someone should try to re-implement the OTP phone-technology in a different app altogether, that is not "owned" by some government.
That link does not seem to be working, the page is not loading.
Did you download the APK? Can you upload it somewhere?
I guess it's a dead end anyway, and I really wonder if there is any other SIP client for Android out there that supports encryption. I mean, I can't be the only one who seeks maximum privacy using a smartphone.
+1
redphone is free software from whispersys so theres nothing ethically wrong with posting the apk here guys.
not sure if its true but the word is that twitters evil saudi arabian investors wanted the acquisition of whispersys so that they could shut the company down and prevent accessability of privacy-providing software, basically the dev was bought off and redphone will never see the light of day.
but, im sure there is still a copy floating around somewhere, please share if you have it.

unfortunately, even with the apk file, you cannot use the app without having your device registered through the whisper systems server. i used to have the app installed on numerous devices and it worked fine for me in the past. i still have the apk file and just re-installed on one of my devices, but it refuses to re-register/re-verify/setup/authenticate on the server.
my assumption is that the server has been shutdown completely or if now government owned will only let certain authorized devices/users on the system. i could send you the file but i don't believe it will help you any as i can't even get it up and running any longer

Opening apps with a proxy

Hello all!
Here is my question,
Is there any way to open up one specific app through a proxy, so as to spoof your country location?
I'm trying to use Pandora but I live in Canada and it is not available here.
Would it be neccessary to root my phone?
I have not gotten around to it yet as it's a pain in the ass, (LG Optimus Lte Telus, P935)
Any info and help would be greatly appreciated!
Yes, it's possible. And you more than likely need to root your device so that you can edit the iptables config. A quick google search reveals:
http://www.appbrain.com/app/proxydroid/org.proxydroid
Just try pointing it at an open proxy based here in the US. If that app doesn't fit your needs (it appears to only work for Pandora over WiFi), I'm sure there is no shortage of others.
Would it also be possible to change my location within my build.prop file?
I have never messed around with anything in there nor really looked into to it as of late.

[Q] Could someone rip the GRID beta APK?

I'm in Canada, and it won't show up on the store unless I (presumably) spoof my location. I know people have had it working from other countries already - could someone upload this? Much appreciated!

I live in Canada and it installed and works great, so you should have no problems.
Yes, I'm a retard. There's a link to the app from the Shield store (when you press the home button), but this goes no where in the google play store - turns out the GRID beta was already installed on my shield automatically with update 65. Found under all apps.
Could someone rip it for me?
It ism't working for me in Indonesia, it is not installed in the update, I don't want to wait to get back to the UK, I'm here for a couple of months
Agree, grid beta apk is needed. Someone please upload apk.
please upload apk
thanks
Grid working in uk!
Hi,Grid is working in northern Ireland In the UK On the shield!
here you go
Here you go! http://icloudserv.com/gridapp.apk
But it will only work on Shield (I tried on my HTC one and it says "this device is not supported") I also tried to open file and change something, but everything is encrypted , and other files dont have needed information on how to change the file to work with Every Android device, as far as I understand Cloud Gaming has nothing to do with NVIDIA TEGRA GPU. Is it possible to decrypt it and make see Remote Desktop with all graphic Features such as D3d or OpenGL? Kelper GPU supports passthrough.

Nether Tegra Note 7 support it.
From nvidia forum:
"The TegraNote 7 doesnt have integrated 5Ghz wifi in it, which we know can result in some stuttering. "
Só maybe you device should have integrated 5GHz wifi to work.
Hi,
Maybe changing the build.prop might help?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1948558
As for the 5Ghz routers, that's only a recommendation. I live in Portugal (170+- latency), and I can play Grid just fine with my 2,5Ghz routers (RT-N16 with Tomato).
Obviously they should be fined tuned to offer the best possible performance to wireless clients.

try a logcat while launching the app to see why it's unhappy. On one device I had, Tasker installed but would not run without one of the framework files supplied by Maps. Just copying in the framework file was enough to get Tasker running, didn't need the app itself.
Anyone tried a nodded build prop? It would be cool to get this working on a nexus 10

Where is the Location Consent dialog located in android packages?

Hello all,
I am currently trying to build an Xposed Module to disable the location consent dialog at least for just my phone.
I have a rooted VZW LG G4 on Lollipop 5.1 - VS98613B
It is an annoyance to have to agree every time I turn on location or network data.
There is an Xposed Module that disables the location consent dialog, but this module is for the "Google Analytics" agreement, that Google will automatically collect anonymous data. It can be found here:
Code:
repo.xposed.info/module/com.mohammadag.disablelocationconsent
PLEASE NOTE: What I am trying to disable is a similar dialog, BUT IS NOT THE SAME. I have tried this module, along with a LL compatible "Deny Location Consent" module, and neither are targeted for the dialog I get.
I am not able to post links or pictures, but if you go to "i67.tinypic.com/2zzkenq.png" you can see the dialog.
I would like help trying to find the method that calls this dialog to appear, so that I can hook it and replace it with a (I'm assuming a 'return true;') method of my own. I have scoured GrepCode for the right Java class, but don't have much experience on where to look or even what really to look for. The closest I think I have gotten is in com.android.systemui.statusbar.policy.LocationControllerImpl at the link:
Code:
grepcode.com/file/repository.grepcode.com/java/ext/com.google.android/android/5.1.0_r1/com/android/systemui/statusbar/policy/LocationController.java#LocationController.setLocationEnabled%28boolean%29
Any and all help would be greatly appreciated!
TL;DR: I need help finding the method that calls the Location Consent dialog (not for Google) so that I can create an Xposed Module to bypass it.
Did you ever figure this out? I've been looking around for a fix for this on my Galaxy s7 for a while now to no avail.

Unfortunately, no. I had to give up because of frustration and school. I've had to get the habit of automatically just agreeing. Good luck to you though, please reply here if you find anything out.
