Chinese 1.11 to Chinese Unicom 2.22
then,
Korean 2.21
back to Chinese Unicom
now..........
before I flash to "retail 2.22" is there something I should know?
You sure this is retail?
flashed over rooted previous chinese version 2.2.2 - phone does not charging and does not power's on, what's next?

thanks, but looks like it's not method for me
battery was fully charged, now phone does not charging from the outlet - no indication, it does not boot into loader mod and don't power's on in any method
all looks like a dead bootloader :/
My phone was just like yours. Full charged, not power on, not charge, anythin.
It was dead. But the method I posted worked for me.
ok, look like from the 10th tims it booted into loader mode, and was reflashed to 3.4.3.11
seem's this fw has some troubles or it was something mystical in my case

Quick "report" on this Retail CHT 2.22:
New CHT 2.22 retail perform identical to China Unicom 2.22 ( w/ less junkware)
Still no wide-screen picture taking ( Korean Froyo come w/ widescreen )
Oncclickroot 2.1 still works fine.
Still no 720P recording.
Data / Wifi/ Connection adjustable ( Korean Froyo must get into service menu )
Two-way recording works better compare to Korean. ( still beeping )
LED turn dim-greenish.
Actually... at this stage, I really can't tell which one is better.
* one really annoying issue from CHT firmwares is LED FLASH!!!!!
* few annoying issues from KOR firmwares is wifi / signal connection are not customize-able, plus, no short-dialing and strange looking number keyboard.
for wide-screen picture taking
setting-applications-manage app-all
find camera and clear data
then launch video record and change mode to camera
then comes wide-screen taking
i don't know why, but it works.

yea, korean rom does have it out of the box,
but just picture,
not video recording.
i think all froyo has it (widescreen picture taking)
Regarding the picture taking... what are the picture sizes in pixels for each case (wide, not wide) ?

How are we supposed to update photoshop to the newest version 1.3, having the ability to work on larger files is something that I'm interested in.
Does someone know how to update?
Thanks.

You can't. The version on the Note is customized to support multi-view. Samsung has to push the update out or provide a discrete link on Play just for Note owners.
Thanks

Oops. Neither can I. Obviously I haven't used it very much. The answer may be the same though if Samsung's had Adobe make modifications to work with S-Note and the non-standard clipboard. The fact that Play doesn't recognize we have it installed means something funky is going on in the background. Same thing applies to Polaris.

I'm thinking about calling Samsung customer service tomorrow and asking when and how we are receiving the update. Not even trough Samsung own market there is an option for an update.
Good luck with that, I have received nothing but the run around for the past week.

First let me state that yes I know this was slightly touched on over here http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s6-edge/help/spo2-sensor-t3096690
This is from the S6 edge forum so I prefer not to post there as these are two different devices as per se.
Has any one been able to use the SPO2 sensor on the S6 and if so what region FW are you using?
Thanks in advance

Works great here. SM-920F, G920FXXU1AOCW, Sweden.
I've used it successfully on my UK EE branded firmware since the day I got it. Quite a snazzy idea. Quite like checking my heart rate and stress with it too.

i quickly looked on the net and it seems to me it must be region specific...well i hope i get it too
It could be that items such as SPO2 meters are regulated as medical devices and require a prescription in your country, so Samsung disables it.

It is region specific.
I flashed German 1&1 firmware and everything is working 100 % including SpO2 stress.
a few other things also started to work like my smart lock.
I guess they break things just enough to frustrate the user but keep the device working. sad indeed.

Simple solution, not the best but it works. Flash a country firmware that supports it. there are a few issues with flashing firmwares but there are workarounds, just search the forum. http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s6/general/stock-firmware-official-stock-firmware-t3086387/page7

Hey folks, I'm completely new to the Android club. Bought myself an unlocked Z5 on eBay from, apparently, Taiwan. I was able to check the basic language to English in the Settings menu, but I'm still finding some programs in Chinese, and I don't know how to switch them over to English.
Specifically, there's this round purple icon with what appears to be a set of headphones over a microphone that overlays every screen on the phone. When I click it, I'm introduced to a page in Chinese with two checkboxes at the bottom, and then an OK below that. When I click OK, the phone starts speaking to me in Chinese. lol. There's something in Chinese on the top of the screen that ends with the English word "Lite".
Thanks for any help anyone can offer me!

I bought mine from Taiwan as well and uninstalled the region specific apps. Some of them won't even connect based on your location.

Do you guys don't worry about the originality of these phones? lol
Why? Where do you think 99% of the worlds electronics are made?

Hi all,
Just got a new Gear S3 and right away encountered a massive problem. When setting it up, I set it to English (United States). Everything went fine until the set up was done. All the apps are in Filipino. I even reset the whole device and used another language (Finnish) just in case, but didn't help, it's still in Filipino.
Any advice?
Thanks in advance.

I got mine at Best Buy a few weeks ago and did not have any problems with setting language. Would it be easy to return? Mine is a bluetooth version and not attached to any carrier if that makes any difference?
I would guess there is some support number you can call???
