I have a Galaxy Note 5 (SM-N920P) and had flashed to Darthstalker rom, but when flashing back to stock rom i wiped my phone completely in TWRP. When i try to reboot, it says No OS installed. I tried using ODIN to flash stock rom, but I get stuck at "NAND Write Start!".
I might have the wrong stock rom, I am not sure, but PLEASE help. I really need this phone.
(I really am new to all this)

Hi everyone, as first: thank you for making android as rich as you are making it .
I've a GT-I9070 with stock android , i can boot in to recovery mode holding down volup/home/power and i have the option to install zip files and wipe data so i wanted to install one of theese roms: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2578599 OR http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s-advance/orig-development/rom-mahdi-rom-2-7-t2869985
Questions:
Is as simple as downloading the zip packages, putting them in to the SD Card and install them with the recovery mode?
Some users can't install the roms becouse of the wrong recovery mode(?), in many post is written to install an app from play store and use it to replace boot.img, will be the phone still booting after a faild attempt of flashing a custom rom?
Thanks very much for reading and sorry for the english, i'm Italian and i'm still studying
Alessandro.
Hi,
First thing, is are you rooted? You need a custom recovery to flash a ROM.
This is the place to find help and ask questions for your device,
Samsung Galaxy S Advance I9070>Galaxy S Advance I9070 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting
And here is a recovery guide, it also says how to flash ROMs with it...

Good luck!

Thank you very much! I was wandering if i still need to root it and install a custom recovery even if my recovery allows me to wipe cache/partitions and to install zip files
If someone confirm that i'll give cyanogen 4.4 a shot with my phone since it's full of customization by samsung that i don't like and cyanogen if full of customization that i DO like
EDIT: In this post someone use odin to flash the image and then uses stock recovery to clean up(if needed), can i follow the same procedure?
Thanks for the link and the answere!
You definitely need a custom recovery to flash a rom. And the rom will be rooted anyway. If you want to unroot after, that's your choice. Read up on that, or ask in Q&A section link I gave you.
As far as flashing a rom with Odin... Never heard of that, only stock firmware. Yes, you also flash custom recovery with Odin. Not roms tho.
Anything else, please use the Q&A section for help. ?
I screwed up and flashed the ROM for the GT-I9500 onto my GT-I9515. Where do I find the stock ROM? Or, generally recover from my bone headed mistake.
The phone is currently telling me "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again."
Hi there,
I'd suggest asking in either of these 2 threads sections for a stock ROM:
Custom Stock ROM GT-I9515 Successful
Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting
Be sure to specify you have the i9515 which is the 'Value' edition.

Thanks, I'm madly searching the recommended locations. This has me a bit worried about the possibilities of correcting this issue...

Well by the looks of things users are already giving you further adive from the post you made in the other thread.
Good luck!
This thread may be of use to you, the i9515 is the same under the hood as the i9505 so look into it:
[GUIDE] Unroot/Unbrick, Flash official stock firmware on Galaxy S4 GT-I9500 & I9505
Be sure to clarify it will work on the i9515
Thank you and thread closed
I had been using cwm recovery but decided to try twrp and I lost OS and custom/stock recovery. I've been trying to flash stock firmware using odin 3.07 and 3.09 with no luck. Please any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated. I've been without my phone for 5 days now and I just don't know what else to try.

Hello, and welcome to XDA!
Looks like you need to flash back to stock, one way or another.
There isn't much a community for your your device, but I found this thread which has your fellow users:
> Android Development and Hacking > Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting > My Infinix Hot Note bricked while updating it
If they don't have access to a stock image, maybe one can make a flashable zip for you.
Hope this helps, and good luck!
I'm new in the smartphones world and my English isn't good. I will try to explain my problem, the best I can.
I have a Samnsung Galaxy Note 5 (SM-N920T) with the lastet update and I also have battery drain issues. I thought that may be installing a custom ROM I will get better autonomy on stand by. When I take a look about the steps I should do, I try to install a custom recovery, and I used it (TWRP-2.8.7.1-Alpha_N920T). Everything was going well, I flash it using Odin, after that reboot in recovery mode and I maked a recovery of all cellphones's partitions. When I reboot my Note 5 stuck on LOGO SCREEM.
Could you help me to solve my problem?

Hi
Thanks for using XDA Assist.
If you made a nandroid just restore it and try again. Download the rom again this time.

A nandroid is the backup that you made in recovery. For specific help relating to your device try posting your query here T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note5 > T-Mobile Galaxy Note5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting Experts there may be able to help you.
