The keyboard just work fine and easy to setup.
The arc touch is also easy to setup on my ... LG G3, It won't work on Nexus 9.
The mouse point can't be shown and I find it is connected as a physical keyboard.
I am on pure nexus rom and fire-ice kernel , any possible to fix it?

Have you went to "Dev options>Show pointer location" to see if it is connected but not showing up?

Same problem with on my Shield K1 running android 6.0 and the shield 1.1 software.
Arc mouse shows as connected and paired via Bluetooth but is listed as a physical keyboard rather than a pointing device.

Anybody ever get this solved? I'm trying to use my Arc w/ a Nexus 9 - no pointer.

Bluetooth kernel issue
Same goes for my Apple trackpad
https://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=39665
This issue is a little more than 2 years old and has been addressed but hasn't been fixed so all left is to wait for Google to fix this.
The link I posted is for the Apple trackpad but addresses the Bluetooth issues in general regarding pointer devices hope this cleared things up.

Same issue
Same issue with Lenovo Yoga Flex and Samsung Galaxy s8, the arc touch mouse pairs but does not connect.

This may not be what anyone wants to hear, but it may just be incompatible hardware. I purchased the Arc Mouse SE a few years back and it has seen some things. I recently replaced it with the newer Arc Mouse (that has the touchpad). Decided to dedicate the SE to a Shield TV and was able to connect, but not get a response. Out of curiosity, I paired the newer mouse. It worked flawlessly. It seems the SE just isn't compatible with newer Android as a mouse.

Finger Mouse

Have any of you seen the Finger Mouse on the Samsung Epix? That thing is the shiz. You know how our Touch Pro's have that touch-sensitive center button right... does anyone think they can either rip and port the Epix driver over to the Pro or can a smart person write up an app that does the same? That would be Awsome!!!

haha i lold
AFAIK mouse pointer in Pocket PC was first bought out by HTC in their P3300 Pocket PC a.k.a HTC Artemis. The mouse is controlled by a trackball which was initially bought out on Blackberry. Now Samsung Epix seems to have a mouse pointer on screen which can be controlled by a small touchpad something similar to the ones you have on laptops.
yes.
but raphael have a touch panel around the center button.
so, that place can be useful, to make a "mouse"
The whole area downthere is actually touchsensitive
Yeah, I know, it can mean at least 2 things but I mean that the whole area under the screen i touchsensitive and not only around the button.
haha. this is the third "idea" of this.
in my post i already looked into it, but because i am new to programming on Windows mobile and also in accessing the touchpad, i was not able to call it right.
The next problem was that the SDK provided by someone, the message of a touch is only called when the window is open and in front and the demo of this sdk shows that it is also only called when you touch and release your finger of the touchpad.
Maybe this are only restrictions of the SDK programming but it seems to be not possible for my little SDK, WM, NET programming skill.
I still hope someone will make this tool or will help by / fix this SDK.
some other idea already mentioned is to use the touchpad as alternative left/right/top/bottom keypad because it is not really handy on the Touch Diamond/Touch Pro.

Make phone a Bluetooth Receiver/Dongle?

Hey guys, I have a PS3, and I want to make its controller to work with my PC, thing is, it involves having an Bluetooth USB Dongle, which I don't. An example:

"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Thing is my Xperia x10 has bluetooth, so why can't I make it receive the controller's signal and transmit it through USB? There must be a way to make it like a Bluetooth receiver. Do you guys know how?
wow, that is a custom software job for sure, one that is almost surely not going to work simply because the MotionJoy drivers are finnicky when it comes to bluetooth controllers.
Let me tell you from experience, you want to purchase a cheap USB dongle, one that is known to work with the MotionJoy ps3 drivers if you want any chance of getting your ps3 controller to work wirelessly with your PC. I got one for like $5-10 bucks. Save yourself the trouble and do the same.
=(
It would be soo interesting lol. But actually on the phone's part it's not that complicated, it just needs a software to make it a bluetooth receiver!
you have to install third party bluetooth apk in order to make it a receiver, you can find in at the market...cheers

I've searched for it, but without success. Which apk is it?
So as to not clutter the board with duplicate requests: I was wondering if this can be done on Windows Mobile as well? Would anyone know some apps/hacks that might enable this?
ds3 controller to non-bluetooth pc
Rooted android device > sixaxis controller app > then the droidmote app and Corresponding pc receiver
Trying to do the same but with just a regular generic phone gamepad. Any update to solutions involving this?

Sticky for Bluetooth keyboards

Could we have a sticky listing bluetooth keyboards that people have found work with the Sensation?
Maybe just start by everyone who has had a keyboard working posting the make and model in this thread?

My rom is Android revolution HD 6.4.0
My bluetooth keyboard is a dell Y-RAQ-DEL2
Seems to work ok. Wish I had a bluetooth mouse to go with it. Pairing is simple. Just go to the bluetooth screen on android. Now turn the keyboard on and hold down the pairing bluetooth button on the back til the dell keyboard is detected on the android side. A key will be listed so just type it in and the pairing is finished.
Rom: VI 4.0
Bluetooth keyboard: Apple bluetooth keyboard
I did pair the mouse but it didn't seam to do anything
I've had luck using the keyboard for the Motorola Xoom/Atrix. You just need to put the keyboard into computer pair mode by turning it on while holding keys V+A+R, and you can pair it to admitting else with Bluetooth. I've used it with my sensation, Xoom and touchpad.

Hi,
I just bought this one:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B004EFZ2FA/ref=olp_product_details?ie=UTF8&me=&seller=
So far it's okay. The keypad is fairly squashed and is a bit awkward to use because it's laid out in a 'chocolate box style' rather than staggered, but at the same time it's not quite small enough to hold in your hands and reach all of the keys with your hands. The keys feel pretty cheap, but for £20, what do you expect, especially as it has a mouse too : )
However, having said that, now that ICS is here the mouse function works everywhere, not just in certain apps. This gives almost full control of the phone. The only thing missing initially (that I've noticed) was the ability to press 'Menu'. I've solved this by altering the keyboard layout file as per the instrustions here: http://chris.boyle.name/2010/08/android-keymaps. I chose to re-map the 'Alt Gr' to menu.
By trial and error I'm finding all sorts of Ctrl key combinations to do various things, such as open bookmarks in the web browser (Ctrl B), history (Ctrl H) and so on.
On the plus side it will be small enough to go in a suitcase to take on holiday along with my MHL cable so I can plug it into tvs in the hotel room. Yeah baby!!!

[Q] External keyboard behaviour

Debating getting this but which of these behaviours does this device follow?
Galaxy S5 / stock Android behaviour: connecting USB / BT keyboard just works.
TouchWiz 4.0 - 4.3 / Galaxy Note 8.0 on 4.4.2 behaviour: connecting USB / BT keyboard force changes software keyboard to stock Samsung Keyboard app.
Currently using SwiftKey with my Note Pro which previously had bugs/issues but now seems to work rather well. I just started this reply in Tapatalk and plugged in a USB keyboard using a USB 3.0 OTG cable and it works fine. The only issue I see is that the predictive text bar is still showing at the very bottom of my screen. Odd behavior but at least it's not defaulting to the stock Samsung Keyboard as you're describing in your behavior #2.

Thank goodness, the force switch behaviour has been annoying as heck. When I saw my S5 doesn't share it, I was hoping that most devices launched on Kit Kat might act normally.

There's a setting in some keyboard apps to control whether or not to display that when using a physical keyboard but I'm not sure whether or not SwiftKey has a thing to turn that off. I think it used to have a off switch but I might be thinking of another app.
Using the Logitech K801 BT keyboard & Swiftkey as default: (p905 LTE International.)
Just connected it, it leaves Swiftkey as default.

It does this:
Clicking on the 'Choose Input Method' brings up this menu.
And when I turn the on-screen keyboard on, this appears. Note the Swiftkey icon in the bottom left. (Droidedit doesn't support predictive text)
(Yes I changed the theme.)

Charging stand/dock?

I'm looking for a plain charging stand or dock for the Galaxy Tab S, but I can't seem to find one. Does anyone know of such an accessory (could be Samsung or 3rd-party, either specific to the Galaxy Tab S or even generic)?
I've had probably 8 tablets by now and used this stand with all of them.

I just found the following dock (which charges) on Amazon. I assume that since it is "universal", it will work with the Galaxy Tab S. Any reason why it shouldn't?
EDD-D100BEGXAR
Sorry, I can't post URLs yet because I'm new here and XDA won't let me. Simple search for the above model number will yield links to it.
False, that was for the old Galaxy Tab with a 30 pin connector, you need one with USB connector, like this:

i recommend a Quirky Converge Universal USB Docking Station
I haven't yet tried it but I think this KIDIGI Dock would be better than Samsung's Universal Dock because the back rest sticks up higher; better for portrait tablets, less wobble when you tap the screen.

-This mob have it as sold out but I bet you can find it elsewhere!
Cheers
I just scored a tab s to replace my dear ancient playbook which replaced my dear ancient Touchpad. Blackberry and HP got so many things right including their just plain perfect docks that let you sleepily/lazily/distractedly/drunkenly slide the tablet into place perfectly every time leaving it always charged. Losing those amazing docks is one of the main things that's kept me from upgrading, any new docks out there that people are loving?
In a perfect world there would be one where the usb nub pops into place when the tablet's lined up... Or a good case with a qi adapter.
Checked & in Stock now.
