Is it a button on top of it that you can press? Then it could be used as an extra button to do pretty much anything you want, like launching an app, taking photo etc.
Edit: like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0JNnwusH0KE
Certainly a MiKey.
Here is the app :

Is that a bonus? I don't have it in my box. Yes, certainly it's a MiKey.

Yes, I had one too in the shop I ordered.
Note : the Mi app is limited. KeyCut allows more actions and seems to work better.

thanks, i have installed it fine but no idea how to get anything to work.
do i have to set permissions or anything to allow the app to work? when i put the mikey in, it doesnt do anything.
It seems pretty easy for me, but not very usefull if you use headphones too.
You insert the MiKey, open the app and choose what do tou want for simple, double, triple.... Simple long, Double long... And that should work. More or less. On the paid version, you can make the app be more resistant and that help to wake up the phone when it's on deep sleep for example.
There are other app like iKey, Pressy and KlicK if you want to try.

thanks again, yeah, when i insert is seems to recognise it as a headset and not the mikey, so i have no sound for anything when it is in. I dont use a headset ever, so will find the mikey useful but as i say, right now.. i set it to do things in the app , it doesnt work and i have no sound and cant figure out why!
You should wipe app data and reinsert, it should ask you.
Gave that a try.. Still no luck. Am I missing something? Any other English apps?

search for sometime now, could not find any leads that may shed light to this
anyone out there? I'll try searching for it in the registry, if only i know where to start
First off, I don't know why you'd even ask for this. It's a tiny burst of vibration that happens only once when you power up the device, and that's it. There's no harm in it and I can't see a genuine reason for wanting it gone since it happens so rarley.
Secondly, you can't get rid of it. It's part of the self-diagnostic that runs when you switch on the device. If you did find a way to stop it (and I'm 99.9999999999999999999% sure you won't) then the phone would probably think there was a problem and not boot.
You're gonna have to live with it mate.

ahhh. . . so cute it neh?? can i cuddle him/her?
ssshh. . . spamming
I was also looking for a solution to this problem.
You asked, why one should wish to deactivate this little vibration on startup...well, quite simple:
My HD2 performs its system backups every night, while it is in its cradle beside my bed. I am using SPB Backup which does a warm reset after finishing its operation. It's really not very funny to wake up every night, only because there is this "little" vibration during the boot up process.
If you are a user of a genuine HTC ROM, there is even an additional little melody playing after vibrating, which is still more uncomfortable! Only for this reason, I just reflashed my HTC ROM back to a Vodafone ROM (which only has the vibration).
I think, it would really be a good idea, If someone found a tweak to suppress the boot up vibration!

Care to elaborate?
its an app that allows you to "knock" (Share what your seeing to friends and family through your phones camera) Like you see in the movies where someone gets in a fight and the entire school sees it. Its great!
ps. Also good for letting your wife go shopping on her own while your sitting on the couch drinking a bear watching football. But i didnt say that.

Wasn't sure what it was till I looked it up.
Sound isn't working yet(soon) but you can think of this as a 1 way video chat. You can connect to someone else and they can see what your camera can see.
I think it would be more useful with sound but I can think of some situations where an app like this would be nice.

Why so much hate on driving and texting? I do it all the time... and call on phone to and have a total of ZERO crashes! I've been driving for almost 10 years now so people don't tell me i shouldn't, just because you can't drive to save your life doesn't mean I dont also know how to. Honestly though with this app I can see it causing more issues then the regular SMS app for the reason you would have to hold it above the steering wheel since it uses the camera to still post on screen I rather feel safer keeping phone in lap and texting it there.
just buy a ***** car dock and type sms with the phone docked

If you have adb working try taking a screen capture from the ddms.bat file in the SDK tools folder!
you can install droid explorer and take screenshots from your pc. plus do alot of other things.
it will even install the sdk for you.

Nice! What mod (I don't know the correct phrase for anything, lol) is that where it shows all those widgets like tiles on the screen? I really like that.

It's a combination of two really awesome apps I discovered. One is called Desktop Visualiser, and the other is called SiMi Folders. Both are really impressive. Having all of the tiles (which are actually widgets) does use a lot of ram, but this phone easily handles it.

I wanted Tasker profiles that could replace Cerberus. Too much work for no gain. Cerberus has the web based GPS tracking also.
Honestly, just get Cerberus. It's better as a whole than anything you can build with Tasker. I found that the biggest flaw with Tasker, was that although it can read text messages, it cannot intercept them. That's a problem.
Yeah if you want tracking, tasker is a little unreliable. Personally use prey.
