[Question] How to port form Moto G 2014 - Moto G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
How can I port http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g-2014/orig-development/rom-cyanogenmod-12-1-t3245546 this rom to my moto G 2013(Falcon)?
Tnx,
Vid

We also have a CM 13 thread for our moto g: http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g/development/rom-6-x-cyanogenmod-13-0-unofficial-t3235443

@vidra - I will be doing the port of Stock Marshmallow.

The rom you linked to seems to be a vanilla CyanogenMod 13 build. You probably don't need to port it.
You can start by creating a build of the same rom but for the original Moto G 2013 you are interested in. You will need to swap the device tree so that your build uses the device tree for the Moto G 2013 instead. There is a chance that what you build won't run or will have an undesirable impact on your device so,....make copious backups and do your research before you build or flash anything.
Good luck.
UPDATE: This Ethan Chen article is worth a read too.

No. There was some work done during the 4.4 cycle for 1032/1034, but none of the maintainers had a 1033 and also none of them had time to get the device to nightly status. Most of them have been working on other devices for 5.x

Thank You!! Any updates by the way??
Any news on how's this project going or some development update? Or is it abandoned?
i found some files on http://opensource.lge.com/osSch/list?types=ALL&search=LGD290
maybe those can be usefull?
It would be so cool to have CM 12.1 on the Fino D290. Is there anyone still involved with it?

Do you think this can hard-brick my phone if I flash it to the D290N? As far as I know, both Dual SIM and NFC model use the same partition table (I looked it up myself just to be sure)
UPDATE: Just flashed it and lol it didn't even take me to the boot animation, it was forever stuck on the first LG logo and I had to reflash stock KDZ.. :C Glad it didn't become a hard-brick though.
on my github general write d290n d295 D290. I will keep updating if someone help

??? Is possibel to port Moto G cyanogenmod ROM (cm-13.0) to Idol 3 [4.7] ????

Hi!
Can be possibel to port cm-13.0-20160913-NIGHTLY-osprey [Marshmellow] for Motorola Moto G to Idol 3 [4.7]???
They are almost the same device! Check it here! http://www.kimovil.com/pt/comparar-celulares/f_dp+id.62,f_clmod+id.24
same CPU ( MSM8916v2) and same camera sensor ( IMX214 Exmor RS)!
@Alek Dev, what you say to this???
Yeah, either from that or from the idol 3 5.5 version, maybe @Unjustified Dev could give me some pointers on how to adapt the 5.5 source to fit the 4.7 and I would gladly see what I can do, I'm kinda new to android dev but I would be more than happy to learn and see if I can make it work

i think that with similar devices you just have to change some configs in the zip. you have some tutorials on how to do that .
try it.
regards.

Is Android 7 for D2203 available?

Hello!
I wonder if there is a Android 7 (or even 8) ROM available for my Sony Xperia E3 D2203. It seems that the last "supported" ROM is Android 6
If there is any Android 7 ROM just let me know
Thanks

I'm trying to compile Lineage OS 14.1 (android 7.1.2) for our phone with 3.4.0 kernel. If I get it, I am about to upload the rom here.
Most of the sources are in SonyLOS repository (if you want to experiment)
By the time, seems that system can be compiled succesfully but not the kernel, which gets built into boot.img but phone fails to start.

Sounds promising. If you need help and if you have any guidance I could maybe support you. I'm also a software engineer but not an Android Kernel hacker. Maybe I can assist you if there are some good tutorials. Just let me know

Yes, I can make a LineageOS based guide, like this one but with flamingo's repos. In my free time I can do it.

No, I've LTE version (D2203) but perhaps porting some patches from eagle (which has the same processor) I can make it work, but first I need to compile a working rom for D2203.

Best of luck dude, I would be thankful if a ROM was developed soon..
can some of you guys help me with the test point of d2203
i hard bricked it and the only solution i might have is that!!
please/? or how to find the testpoint
I have a 2243, that works almost like 2203. It is a GSM with LTE. (I don't really know the difference between them ) If anyone want to use it as a laboratory, just tell me I already do this. I had flashed so may ROM's at my own risk.... One more won't make difference at all haha
I'm facing some problems with RAM (compilation stops at 40% becouse of the memory) so the rom may come later, when I can fix all the issues.

I haven't tried, but i've inspected build.prop and I won't even bother flashing it. Please OP confirm
This ROM is for msm8953 and x64 bits, so ofc it's not going to work.
Why was this posted here? It's clearly NOT for this device.
