[Q] Vibrant IVS upgrade issue

I try to upgrade my samsung vibrant from Factory stock Eclair to ICS_4.0.3_MR1-RC4.2_Vibrant using ROM Manager. ROM Manager backed up my current ROM and when it rebooted it's stuck on Vibrant Samsung Screen. I tried couple of times pulling battery out but it didn't pass this screen. I can't go to download mode too. Please help
try holding power and the volume up button without it plugged it in? if that doesnt work you need to make a download mode jig http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=819551
Thanks for the Info. It worked. I hold volume up and down button (no Power button) and connected USB cable and it worked. I successfully installed this ROM. Only problem I noticed is brightness. Auto brightness mode is too dark.

Bricked Galaxy Tab 2 P3100

Hello XDA !
I have a Tab 2 P3100, bricked with Odin. I was using a flash file that I've used many times before on the same laptop, with the same cable, and the same tablet.
Something went wrong and Odin displayed an error saying there's no PIT partition .
I've tried to use different PCs and cables, still not working.
I'm stuck now at the emergency recovery page, and when connected to Kies it just hangs on "Connecting...". The device does charge alright but I cannot turn it off (it reboots instead of shutting down when I long press the power button).
I think it might be going into download mode when I hold power button + vol down, but I'm not sure as it gives me a blank black screen and gets a bit hot on the left upper corner.
Any Ideas ?
Thanks in advance!
UPDATE: I managed to find "loose" solder points on the USB port and replaced the whole port altogether, What I'm facing now is that after I flash the device with official stock ROM, Odin3 seems to finish the work and flash the whole ROM to the device, but when I try to reboot the device it's still stuck on emergency recovery screen.

There are chance your recovey is damaged
You can try to boot recovey according to your phone from odin or flash firamware ( flashing firamware delete your data)

Well, I've got your same problem years ago. You should press Home+Power+Vol Up/Down when in Charge and wait to display the charging status.
After that, you could connect it and flash via Odin.
I've always format my Internal SD with Recovery (TWRP) once every two months. :good:

No response for my S7, I cannot boot it to recovery mode nor download mode.
After waiting for 3 hours, the "RED" light gone (may be no battery) . It will light up again when I charge it.
There's no solution, and the easy step is to send it to a Samsung Centre. Don't try any hardmod operation

How to get a phone into recovery mode without unlocking it, with pc

Hello Guys/Ladies
I own a oppo neo 7 (a33f) . I messed up my phone by replacing some files at root/system/bin . After replacing the files suddenly the screen of the phone started flashing (it turns on then goes black repeatedly) and also I am not able to press anything on screen.
And now where the real problem begins ,
this phone is so old that it doesn't have volume up volume down or power button (all physically broken)
and the battery got dead :crying: I tried using different things to press the buttons so I can make it into recovey mode (I can still press the volume buttons using pin but no chance with power key ) but still no chance.
Is there any way to make it boot into recovery mode without using the power button and yes I have a working pc with adb and platform tools but the phone is locked so adb prints "unauthorized device" I cant even turn on the device. I tried plugging it in charger and it works, the charging animation shows.
I have the stock rom that I can flash, I am not able get into recovery without power key.
Please help!
Thanks, in advance.

[NEED HELP] Bricked my phone with low chance of any recovery

I need help urgently. I tried to change the splash screen of my Samsung Galaxy A51. I downloaded a custom param tar file, placed it in my downloads folder and used this command in adb shell to replace the older one. I did back up my old param. But there's no way I can restore it. Now, my phone when I try to start it. It doesn't even seem to turn on the screen anymore. I hear the phone vibrating every 2 seconds so I assume it keeps rebooting. I tried to enter download mode but I can't because samsung made it that you need to go into the recovery first, so I tried to go into the recovery but nope, it keeps vibrating and it's not responding to whatever I do. Is there still any hope for my phone? Thanks in advance.
Hello, I had this problem too. My phone also stopped booting into anything, even in TWRP.
For me, the resolve was to make the phone force reboot by holding power button and volume down, then immediately try to enter the downloading mode by holding volume buttons, when the screen turns off
and then you need to flash your device with your stock ROM
I understand you, that you cannot enter the recovery, but for me this method worked
I managed to solve it, the problem I had was that I was unable to boot into download mode. Because I have a samsung galaxy a51 and I did not know how to enter it. The last phone I had was a samsung galaxy s7 edge, back in the old days it was easy to enter download mode, just hold volume down, power button and home button. Now for some reason I need a cable connected to my computer and then hold volume up and down simultaneously. After I figured out how to enter download mode I flashed stock rom and phone worked again.
