Moto G Turbo Edition - Moto G 2015 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi, I'm trying to find the full specs about the Moto G Turbo Edition (that is released in mexico and brasil as far as I know fo), mainly if the screen is 720p or 1080p, and if if has the gyroscope and magnetometer that the Moto G 2015 lacks. I have searched this information over the web and have found many conflicting specs, even from motorola itself :/
Can anyone point me to a reliable source of these specs?

The normal 2015 G (osprey) has a magnetometer and dual accelerometers but no gyroscope. Same applies to the 2015 Moto X Play (lux). So I'd expect the Moto G Turbo to be the same as well (magnetometer and dual accelerometer but no gyroscope).

Here's GSM Arena, has details you're looking for. http://www.gsmarena.com/motorola_moto_g_turbo_edition-7743.php

no touchless control is only for the moto x because motorola has made their own cpu chipset with allows touchless control without it being a battery killer. someone correct me if i'm wrong.
and active display requires AMOLED display i believe.
Moto X Features on Moto G: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2543619
The features are only possible through software, and unfortunately battery-draining. The Moto G lacks a low-powered companion core and an amoled screen.
However a good compromise is to install GEL launcher; then you can say "OK Google" on home-screen and say a command. This works well without hitting the battery too hard. Gel on Moto G Thread - Latest version of GEL here.
ok many thank, beacause i have seen this information and in the market (italy )i look controllo a mani libere..and hope that it was fot moto g .

Why are you comparing a budget device to a flagship device, moto g is 1/3 of the price of LG g2, it has more powerful battery it's has 3000mAh, 2gb ram, 32gb internal, full HD screen with 5.2" size and 4.4.2 kitkat, 13mp camera, on the other hand moto g has 2070mAh battery, 1gb ram, 16/8 gb storage capacity hd screen of 4.5" and 4.4.4 kitkat with future updates and 5mp camera,
It's very difficult to compare both device I am Happy moto g customer, moto g is value for money device while LG g2 is flagship device it has more features it only depends upon your budget, In my opinion wait for Motorola moto g2 which is new device going to be launched on 5th September i.e today can be a better choice....
Hello! thanks for asnwer me, but i bought the moto G yesterday ! im from Argentina and the moto g2 til arrive in December thinks! and i made comparation betwenn moto g and moto g2 and the hardware its the same, the only important diference its LTE or 4G but here.. its all wrong ( policy) and maybe in 2 o 3 years we will have 4g ! ajaja
Congrats for moto g its still best

There is no active display on Moto G.
Use AcDisplay, you can find it in the play store.

Moto G 2015 (MotoG3): Strange box-shadow bug in Chrome for Android

I've noticed a strange issue in Chome for Android on my Moto G (2015): box-shadows are angular/edged instead of smooth if "translate3d" is enabled. The issue does not exist on a Moto G (2014).
The following bug report has screenshots and a demo URL: https://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=519996
I'm wondering if other Moto G (2015) owners can confirm this issue? Or could my Moto G be faulty?

[PETITION] Android Nougat Update for Osprey and Merlin

Motorola provided a list of devices which are going to get the new Android Nougat update. However, Moto G 2015 (Osprey) and the Moto G 2015 Turbo Edition (merlin) are not listed while they are perfectly capable of running it. Hence, to bring this under Motorola's attention, a petition has been started.
Original thread content :
""Please discuss, post support and spread news about this petition: https://www.change.org/p/motorola-please-include-moto-g-3rd-gen-for-android-nougat-update
On 4th October 2016 you announced on your official blog which handsets would be getting the Android 7.0 (Nougat) update.
Absent from the list was the Moto G 3rd Gen (Osprey) and Moto G Turbo Edition (Merlin) - making them historically the first Moto G phones to receive only one major Android update. Both Moto G 1st Gen (Falcon) and 2nd Gen (Titan) where given two Android updates - KitKat and Lollipop in the case of 'Falcon,' and Lollipop and Marshmallow for 'Titan.'
The abandoning of support for both 'Osprey' after 8 months (Android 6.0.1 was released in March 2016) and 'Merlin' after only 3 months shows that the Moto brand now will no longer respect the previous practise of providing ‘18 months of update support.’
Included on the current official Nougat update device list is the Moto G Play (4th Gen) - a handset with weaker specifications than both 'Osprey' and 'Merlin.'
The issue is not technical limitation. You appear to have simply decided your last generation Moto G handsets are no longer important.
The Moto G Play uses the exact same chipset and GPU as 'Osprey,' but runs at a lower CPU clock-speed. This profound hardware similarity also suggests that in the process of making the update for Moto G Play; much of the work needed to produce a Nougat update for 'Osprey' would be completed.
Moto X Play (also on the Nougat update list) uses the exact same chipset and GPU as Moto G Turbo Edition - making both devices Vulkan compatible.
Moto G is a mid-range device, but your update support for it shrinks with each year. Why should people have confidence in your products when you so casually drop support for your best-selling phone?""
