Can't access Settings after restore? - AT&T, Rogers HTC One X, Telstra One XL

Hi Everyone,
I have recently had cause to restore a backup which I created using TWRP v2.6.0.0. Whilst most of the restored data appears to be in tact, and apps are behaving as I would expect I am unable to access Settings. Whenever I click on Settings the screen flashes (with what looks like the Settings screen) for a split second before returning to the home screen.
Has anybody else experienced this issue and if so can you offer any suggestions on how to fix it?
Kind regards,
Davo

[Q] Lock Screen / Personalization App Issues

Hi everyone,
a couple of weeks ago I had to send my One S in for repair, as the soft keys (back/home/recent apps) were absolutely unresponsive (slightly off topic, but: this happened after I used the phone as a car GPS on a 13h road trip. Could this have caused it or was that just coincidence?).
Once I got it back, I re-rooted it and restored everything (system apps and data included) from a backup made shortly before I sent it in (using Titanium Backup). That, however, made my phone lose all push message capabilities, so I emptied the user and system app cache and deleted all user and system app data, which brought push capabilities back to life again. Yet, ever since then, the quick start icons (phone/sms/e-mail/camera) aren't showing up on my lock screen anymore and when I try changing background images in HTC's Personalization app, there are no images to chose from.
I'd like to try fixing this by restoring individual app data in Titanium Backup, but I wouldn't know which apps would be of interest here. Could anyone help me out with this?
Cheers,
uø

[Q] Helium Backup Blocked By Screen Lock

Hello Everyone,
Using a Rooted Galaxy Note 2 (SGH-I317M). I have my phone set to automatically lock my screen every 10 minutes. I also have it set to run a Helium backup for my most essential apps every night and the less essential ones every other week. However I constantly get messages that say my Backup has been canceled due to screen lock.
Anyone know a work around for this?
Thank You
Hi, same problem here !
Surprised there isn't more traffic on this thread. I also just adopted helium, and ran into this on my first schedule back up. It's also strange, because the app's permissions says it has the ability to disable the screen lock, so is this just a recent bug?
I am finding this on marshmallow...
Same problem here. Scheduled backup is blocked by lock screen notification.
Sent from my SM-N920V using XDA Free mobile app
*push*
Scheduled backups does not start on my lg g4 because of locked screen (with pattern).
Is there anything I can do to get it to work?
Is there really no one that has an idea how to fix this?
Or is there maybe a bugtracker for helium?
Or does anybody know an alternative for helium (non rooted device)?
?!?

Google Backup Greyed out OnePlus 7 Pro

Hey guys I received my Oneplus 7 Pro yesterday and its a great phone but I found a problem. If I go to Setting-System-Backup, under Google Backup the Backup Now button is greyed out.
I did some Googling and found a temp fix which worked for another Android Device. If you disable the screen lock by not securing the OnePlus with a code or password then go back to Backup, the Backup Now button is now enabled, but as soon as you put screen lock back on it greys out again.
Also there is a message under each item waiting to be backed up such as App Data, the message is waiting to Backup. Anyone else seen this problem on any other devices and is there a perm fix?
I reset my phone to factory defaults and went through the whole setup process same issue. Don't understand what's going on.
same here in germany
Same thing in Canada.
Hi,
I noticed this was the case a couple of days ago when I first got the phone. I have left it alone for two days and I now have the option to force a backup (ie the button isn't greyed out). I also went into it by Settings, Google, Backup rather than Settings, System, Backup. Not sure if that makes a difference?
I am backing everything up now so I can confirm it works. Maybe the phone needs a couple of days to settle down before it allows the backups to be taken manually?
Mines working fine. Button not greyed out.

I've got the same problem.
Blue button for me.
I had the same issue the only way I was able to fix is the same way the original poster fixed it was was removing the passcode on the device. I was wondering if this was one plus issue? or just carrier modded version issue I currently have the t-mobile version of the device I also tired doing the backup via ADB and that didn't work. But as soon as I removed the password it worked immediately.

Im now on beta 3 and the bug same
Any help?
Backup your data, and do a clean install. I had this, this fixed it for me.
Best of luck
If you are using titanium backup, make sure that it is not backing up an app called "media storage". I can't say for certain that this is directly the cause of the issue, but it happened to me too, and it started after I had titanium backup hang while backing up that app. I filtered out both "media storage" and "oneplus media storage", and it hasn't happened since.
Again, I have no idea if this is at all related to the issue I experienced.
