[Q] R7 Plus (M) & R7 Plus (F) Difference? - Oppo R7 Plus

I'm considering on purchasing this phone. I am in the u.s and will be buying it from the oppostyle website. I'm seeing post with r7 plus m and r7 plus f. What's the difference between the two? Other than cm12.1 is supported only for the r7 plus f? On the oppostyle website it doesn't give me the option of which 2 devices I'll be purchasing.

what ever you do dont get one with the mediatek chip i got mine thru a 3rd party on ebay im also in the states make sure you get a plus f not an m bootloader is bl;ocked by software on the mediatek version

M version is for Chinese market. All the EU and US versions are F. M versions have MediaTek cpus when F have Snapdragon.
Wait for black friday, you`ll save 100 USD http://www.androidauthority.com/black-friday-2015-best-deals-654853/

They're currently offering a $50 discount, not the promised $100. Maybe that will change tomorrow.

Oppo R7 Plus Chinese release

Dear All
I am planning to purchase oppo r7 plus with 4G Rom and 64GB (China Release) and I have some question :
1) Does it work in Saudi Arabia?
2) I can change to any other ROM other than Chinese one.
3) is It a good device .
4) Which is better mate 8 or oppo r7 plus
Thanks
Ali
Dear Ali,
My advise to you is to buy Mate 8 as it has the best CPU in the world which is Kirin 950.
Thanks.

Thank you for reply.
What about if I take oppo r7 plus Chinese release it can work in my country (Saudi Arabia) and if I am not root it i will not have problem
Thanks
Salam Ali,
I think it will work, but if you want to make sure that it will work or not check the "mobile Networks". Rooting the device or not this will not make any issues.
Ali, again my advise to you that don't buy OPPO R7 Plus and go to Mate 8, but if you don't want it you have a lot of devices which are better than R7 Plus such as, Xiaomi Mi 5, ZTE Nubia Z11, and LG G5. You know as for me I will buy Mate 8 from Gitex in Dubai.
Thanks.

I am not sure about you, but I have used many Android devices. From my experience, I have concluded, opensource support is way more important than corporate support. Because, in all my experiences, it is the opensource support that allow my devices to continue to be working and functioning long after the corporate support has stopped. Hence, when I was choosing a new phone, I make sure the phone has AOSP port and opensource community support is well and active. I like Oppo a lot, because their community is very supportive of AOSP. Look at their Project Spectrum for more details. I am a phablet guy, my previous phone was Asus ZenFone6. So going to anything smaller just not what I want, at least for now. Incidentally, after my experience my Asus, I am even more convinced that AOSP is the only way.
Since you are in XDA and looking for advice of which Android phone to get, my suggestion is very simple. You can choose whichever phone you like, as long as it has AOSP port.
Do take note, the CM is available for OppoR7Plus F variant only. So, if you intent to get OppoR7Plus and wants to try CM, then do make sure you get the right phone.

Oppo R7 (not the Plus) Cyanogenmod or custom rom support

I just bought the Oppo R7, not the plus version, and am happy to join the R7 family
However, after surfing for 3 hours straight, I failed to find this answer
Does the Regular R7 with 5 inch screen have Cyanogenmod support? the one with snapdragon 615 ofcourse?
Cyanogenmod website stated that R7 and R7 plus and R5 will be getting CM support, however only R5 and the plus version has it so far, should I still wait? or is it killed? or is it available?
Kindly help me and the others who are looking for this answer as the R7 is much cheaper than R7 plus
any information would be helpful
I know this isn't the right thread for the device, but there are no R7 forums.
any help would be appreciated
so after searching more, I found there is Project spectrum available for R7g and R7s
any one interested in stock like experience, try Project Spectrum

They have 2 year policy for updates. So J7 2015 was released in June 2015 so it will receive update till around May 2017.So there are less chance of getting update. If Samsung will be fast in rolling out nougat update to all devices then we may get update. For marshmallow they were slow in rolling out update

Yes CM is always there
You can get the j7 2016 2gb version for $150 and some places offer payment plans on them.. if the 2016 version gets android N then it would only be a $150 price to upgrade to official android N from the 2015 version if the 2015 doesnt get official android N.. but by the time android N comes out you could get it for cheaper brand new or buy a good conditioned used one for less than that...

Its called staying with the times if youre 2015 phone doesnt get the update. You cant expect a 2015 phone with barely just marshmallow to get android n.. what iam saying is if you want official n you need to buy a compatible phone.
---------- Post added at 10:29 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:18 PM ----------
And to think of official android n on a phone that has 1.5 gb ram is just crazy when you need atleast 2gb of ram for everything

Thats like asking why someone buys a new galaxy, iphone, nexus, ect... everytime a new one comes out....

I need to know, is an J7 in 2015 guaranteed to get CM14? It can be sure J7 in 2016 should absolutely get CM14. And are you sure is the thread asking for custom ROMs or firmware? Sorry I never need to ask for firmware that I am an Android player loathing using firmware for long.

Is motorola doing fraud with Moto G9

Recently purchased moto g9 ( india ) having Snapdragon 662 according to website but in about phone baseband version is shown as M4250_ which is for Snapdragon 460.
For Snapdragon 662 baseband version should be M6115_
IS MOTOROLA DOING FRAUD ?
for e.g moto g8 plus having sd 665 having baseband M6125 _.
