Looking for a 8" tablet to replace my recently broken dell venue 8.
1GB RAM minimum
CPU and GPU doesn't have to be cutting edge. I mostly read, browse, stream, and play primarily 2D games.
Unlocked bootloader and dev support is a plus but not required.
Trying to keep it below $100.
Some I've been looking at so far, Acer Iconia, ASUS ME181C, Lenovo Tab2 A8
I too need a tablet, which is best company and specification to buy tablet

I am looking to buy a tablet preferrably android. I've been comparing android tabs and ipads from what i gather apple isn't the greatest in the tablet world. That's fine by me considering the prices, I'm basically looking for a general consensus. Which tablet in your opinion would you consider to be the "best android tablet"?
Big touch screen, great video quality and viewability, netflix, SD Card Reader, forward and rear facing cameras, USB 2.0 & Bluetooth are must haves.
I'm quite fond of the specs for the:
Asus Transformer Tablet 32 gig mem.
&
Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 with 16 gig mem.
Also what reliable facial recognition apps for unlocking the tablet are there?
Not resolved my apologies i believe i posted in the wrong section.
Hell i think i found a similar one at only half the price

I was wondering whether to post in Off-topic or here, despite this board saying phones, and while tablets are not phones, I decided here due to lack of a proper decision.
There are 3 tablets that I have currently eyed:
Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0(used;not sure if available)
Prestigio Multipad Quantum 7.85
Onda V711s
Now, out of all the three the Onda V711s wins by pure raw power, has a quad core CPU and a Power VR SGX544 MP4 GPU and a 7inch IPS display, however as you can already guess it's a chinese tablet. As for the Samsung one, I have an SGS2 smartphone, I've grown tired of the TouchWiz interface, the generic Samsung look and I am deeply afraid the tablet will suffer from lag which I experience on my SGS2 daily and has a dual-core CPU.
Still, I at least know the Samsung tablet is a known brand, uses common hardware and has a forum dedicated with it with many kernels/ROMs I presume, whereas the Onda v711s doesn't seem to have it's own dedicated thread(or any information regarding it on here). Also, the Onda from what I could understand in a Russian review(again, maybe I heard it wrong) has bad Wi-Fi reception and drops out.
The Prestigio tablet has a bigger screen, is slower than the Onda, anything else I am not sure.
Advice?

IHello guys. I'm new here. I need advice from you which tablet should I buy.
Tablets which I can buy are: Acer Iconia One B1-730 and Lenovo A7-10
These tablets are about same price in my country (low budget tablets, can't buy more expensive).
Why I choose Acer: because this model come with 16gb storage and 2x cams(5 and 2 mp)
Why I choose Lenovo: looking bigger, and I think it can be upgraded to 5.0 lollipop and have gratis external keyboard and 16gb microSD in market where I found it, but I don't like it because have very poor cam.
FOR WHAT I WILL USE TABLET?: I'm starting medical university this year so some of my books are eBooks (my anatomy atlas) so I need for reading, surfing and multimedia (watch some episodes) .
Which of these two is better?
Thanks
Well if the camera isn't a factor, go with lenovo. Use your phone for pictures.

I'm looking for a new tablet, as my HP Stream 8 stopped working a few days ago. I'm on a budget of $130 for a tablet, preferably from 2013-2016. So, it comes down to the ASUS Nexus 7 (2013) or the ASUS ZenPad S 8.0. I was thinking of saving up some more money for the ZenPad, because it has an amazing display, but the Nexus 7 is smaller and runs Marshmallow. I basically just use tablets to watch videos, listen to music, and do some lightweight gaming (Clash of Clans, Fallout Shelter, Jetpack Joyride.)
Any help/opinions appreciated!

Hi,
I have had 2 tablets so far: Viewsonic gTablet and 9" Kindle Fire HD. Both had very strong development community. This allowed the device to have a lot of roms/tweaks and much longer life.
Now I think it's time to upgrade my 9" Kindle Fire HD. I am looking, again, for a device with a strong development community (Root, ROMS, tweaks, etc).
- 8 to 10 inches (I kind of don't like the weight comes with the 10")
- 1920x1080 (or better)
- expansion micro SD card slot
Any suggestions?
Thanks
