Is it possible to upgrade my hTC Desire HD with a stock ICS?
It was originally bought in Japan, locked to Softbank with that carrier's bloated ROM (on GB).
I then rooted it and flashed CoreDroid 9.2
At hTC Japan they refuse to help me citing carrier agreements.
This upsets me because the device is mine and I want to upgrade it, if it is technically possible.
Can I just go to any English hTC website and try to upgrade my phone using the ICS for my same model but sold unlocked in another country?
TIA
Tommaso
Anyone? Any advice? Please?
Hi everyone,
Is there anyway for me to revert back to stock baseband (the one used in the RUU so I can restore)? If not, is there a new Bell Mobility RUU with the most recent HTC update? If not, what can I do to get back to stock HTC One S ICS 4.0.3?
Your help is greatly appreciated. Many thanks
Trevor
PS: Maybe someone has a Virgin Mobile/Bell Canada Nandroid backup of stock rom they'd be will to share? Thanks!
Hi all,
I went clockworkmod the instant i got my HTC One SV and am now having trouble upgrading to Jellybean. Seems like the vodafone australia OTA is checking for everything to be stock and its not. Have tried reapplying a whole bunch of stock recovery images from other RUUs and stock images, but no love.
Can anyone give Old.Splatterhand who is running the HTC One SV resource thread (in lieu of a proper resource area) with the original/stock vodafone australia ICS content? Would be much appreciated if I can get my hands on it.
I solved my issue (see HTC Revert to stock for HTC One SV in old.splatterhand's thread) but it would still be good if someone could give him the vodafone australia original ICS content for other users. Cheers!
Hi!
I managed to make put my wife's SV into bootloop while applying the latest update... any idea where I could find stock images for Vodafone (AU) One SV phones?
Thanks!
More information about your actually setup and state, please!
Does anyone have the stock Rom for HTC one v primou (primou is the gsm model - phones with a sim card slot)
A backup of the Rom would also do.
I've searched online, all I can find is WWE for different regions, I don't think mine was specific to any region, or if it was, it's Australia. I have also found some (including the one on idroidspace) which was from a carrier, so had some modifications. Mine wasn't specific to a carrier.
If a moderator want's to move this under one v q&a, please do, I'm not sure how to.
Edit: My cid is the Australia one HTC_023
@Captain_Throwback
I have recently bought Unlocked Sprint HTC one A9 from a local shop in Sri Lanka, it had Android Marshmallow and somewhere I saw superR'skitchen. And CID was 11111111 and MID was 2PQ930000, Unlocked Bootloader and S-OFF.
I had 2g, and 3g signals with this condition but I didn't have 4g signals ever. I'm using a Dialog Sim in Sri Lanka.
Since I wanted to upgrade my HTC A9 to Nougat I changed MID to 2PQ912000 and flashed with latest RUU from HTC official website, and finally got no signal when I switched on my A9, after checking this on xda I installed twrp recovery and rooted using supersu. And used Sprint radio (extracted from 1.60.651.4 RUU) and finally got 2g signals working. But I don't have 3g or 4g.
Can you help me to get the right software/firmware on my device please? I need the latest ROM which is 2.18.617.30
Please help me, Thank you

Sorry I know nothing about your variant. I recommend you change your MID back and flash whatever the latest RUU is for your variant (which appears to be Sprint?). I'm not sure why you're trying to flash the US Unlocked RUU to your device, as it's clearly incompatible. Because your device is CDMA based, it may lack the proper bands for 4G support on your local carrier.

thank you for your reply bro, what do you suggest me to flash then? How can I search and get the right ROM for me to work in Sri Lanka for Dialog 2g,3g and 4g?
I'm going to flash this now, https://forum.xda-developers.com/one-a9/development/att-dev-rom-vvm-integrated-release-4-24-t3365326.
will let you know if this fixes my problem.
