Hi,
I'm very curious, the HTC One M8 Windows edition... is it possible to flash the Windows ROM to an Android M8?
The hardware is identical isn't it?

Dennis

Hello,
This is my first time using XDA developers, or any type of forum to be honest, so please do tolerate my very bad knowledge of the terminology and concepts behind almost everything I've seen on the forum so far. Also, don't roast me if this in the wrong section, I'm a major noob :silly::silly:
B, Anyways,
I have an HTC One M8 32 GB from Verizon that is GSM unlocked and unrooted. The phone is running android 4.4.2, so I went to the settings to try and do a software update, but that option is greyed out and says "Update only works in CDMA mode". And then I found this link, not sure if it helps, but can anyone help me as to how I can update my phone? Thanks "

Better to check this thread: [10-22][firmware][all stock img]all files have updated t0 4.4.4.
It also contains a video guide for how to update.
For general video tutorials check this: [HOW To Videos]Basic (HTC M8) set up and functions.
And if you have further questions, please ask either in the Verizon One (M8) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting > [Q&A] [ALL FILES HAVE UPDATED T0 4.4.4 [firmware][10-22][boot.img][ recovery][STOCK thread, or in the Verizon One (M8) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting forum.

Thanks for your help, however I just have two questions.
The first one is do I need to have rooted phone in order to run an RUU?
Also, the thread you posted seems to be for stock android, which does not include the HTC Sense UI that is included in the RUU of the thread I posted?

Hi friends;
Rather new and just started crawling in "ANDROID" ocean. Can anyone let me know where to find and download Official ROM either as shipped with phone or updated as on date, for HTC ONE MAX, HTC EVO 3D, HTC M8
Hello,
Welcome to XDA.
The simplest way to find your firmware for each device is to do a Google search for:
Stock firmware for HTC One Max
then
Stock firmware for HTC Evo 3D
then
Stock firmware for HTC M8
There is more information on Google than here at XDA for stock firmwares.
If you need further assistance here at XDA then try posting in the forums linked below.

http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-evo-3d/help

If those forums don't help you can try posting in the forum linked below.

Hello,
I believe m8 eye shares the same forum as HTC One M8. You may visit HTC One M8 development forum and find an appropriate rom for yourself.
Also you may request a forum for your device here New Device forum request thread
-Vatsal
Thanks But.......
Xda must have the m8 eye fourm . M8 roms won't work on the M8 eye. Please The m8 eye is a flagship like m8. Just do the fourm and the devs will do the rest
