HTC one e8 indian mobile not able to use in usa - HTC One E8

I bought my phone from India around a year ago. I migrated to USA. Here SIM slot 1 is not working at all. I'm not able to get any network. And on SIM slot 2 I'm not getting any internet connection. I'm using t-mobile as my network operator.

[Q] htc inspire sim problem

Hi every one , i have been running my htc inspire 4g on the orange network here in the uk for a few years now & i want to go on the 3 network but when i put the 3 sim into the phone i get the "does not support this sim message" i bought the phone unlocked in florida a few years ago and its been a great phone. it also works fine with o2 sim & vodaphone sim but what puzzels me is that when i scan for available networks it picks up the 3 network. Just wondered whether rooting the phone would help[. thanks for any advise.

Sim detection slot 1 , Indian version E8

Hello Everyone,
I am facing this weird issue. Mine is a dual sim E8 and I was using Airtel provider on my sim slot 1.
The moment I landed in US and when I powered on the mobile, it was showing no signal . Till this moment I havn't changed or removed any sim card. The settings are still untouched and even the sim tray has not been removed ,airtel sim in slot one and no sim in slot 2. Later I changed the setting to manual mode , I saw a pop up displaying sim card error and "unable to find network, switch to global mode"
Then i moved the Airtel sim to slot 2 with slot one empty. It asked me to select Tmobile or ATT as partner network. I went with Tmobile as roaming partner.
I wanted a dual sim , as I was hoping to use Tmobile/ AT&T sim on slot one and keep Airtel sim on slot 2 when I reach USA.
Later , I brought a Tmobile sim and put it in slot one, same old error pop up, but it worked in slot 2 ( Edge )
I reached HTC chat , its the most horrible experience i have ever had. The moment i tell them my issue, chat window loses connection as if someone has disconnected.
Finally when I did get connect , by checking my IMEI, chat representative told me that slot one wont work for roaming as its CDMA, only slot 2 works for roaming.
I just couldnt understand this, I was using airtel GSM sim in India with 2G internet. how come an unlocked device change to cdma while roaming outside India.
Please let me know how to work on sim slot one issue. I love this mobile a lot , even if i get 2G on slot one , i will be very happy
Mobile is in stock condition purchased 2 months back, I received a factory update to 5.0 through OTA

Dual SIM 4G+3G or only 4G+2G ?

I'm contemplating a purchase for a Mate 9 with dual SIM capability ( from Kogan Australia). It's advertised with dual SIM. For me, the secondary SIM would only add value if I can use it on 3G, while I keep the main SIM on 4G.
But in some documentation, the secondary SIM only supports 2G. Has anyone successfully used Mate 9 with 4G+3G SIM combination.

For sure....! I also think 4G+4G can work...
If the Australian version is the same as the European version it will support 2G, 3G and 4G on SIM 1 whilst SIM 2 will support 2G and 3G.

3G would be great on SIM 2. The problem I'm trying to solve is that our Australian telco ( Optus ) has severely degraded its own mobile network, to the point where we can't receive voice calls anywhere in our suburb. LTE used to work well, not any more. On the other hand, they improved somewhat on their 3G network. My wife is still in contract with cheap plan. So I could arrange a dual-SIM where SIM 1 is on 4G with another telco, while SIM 2 stays at 3G with the old telco. Things may improve for their network, or the company is going down, we shall see.
4G/3G is how it does it.
Both will support 4G but you'll need to put the switcher setting on your homescreen so you can switch quickly - you can't have both on 4G but both will support it. The other will be able to use 3G.

No data for NTT Docomo sim

I've been using the oneplus 7 pro fine for the past two weeks in Singapore and Hong Kong on local carrier sim.
Returned to Japan today and noticed I couldn't get cellular data after setting correct APN. Have tried switching to 2g/3g but no luck. The Docomo sim works fine with 4g signal when i put it back on my oneplus 6.
Any ideas?
Model was bought from oneplus US online. Model GM1917

T-Mobile OnePlus 7 Pro used in Canada

I have T-Mobile OnePlus 7 Pro for almost 14 months ( with a Texas Number), I'm in Canada and I'm always roaming with Telus network. T-Mobile wont unlock my phone for another 10 months.
I have already flashed my OnePlus with International Firmware successfully, I also bought a dual sim card tray to use both Networks (T-Mobile and a local network) at the same time so people don't have to call a long distance to reach me; I can see 2 sim card however the second SIM card is greyed out.
What do I need to do next to reach my goal?
