Hey guys,
I'm having a big issue with flashtool - even tough I installed all the bundled drivers, and have the latest version of Flashtool with the patch, whenever i try to flash my Z5, i get a message that tells me the drivers are missing for this device.
Where can I get these flashtool-specific drivers for my Z5, or is there some other issue? I've searched online and no one seemed to have had problems flashing their Z5.
Thanks
Drivers are in the flashtool folder
If you're on Windows 8 they're probably not installing properly, look at the faq on the flashtool download website

Thanks, but as I mentioned in the post, I HAVE installed all the drivers that came in with the flashtool. Still no luck.
I have the same problem, do you find a solution?
PC Companion installed? Drivers come packaged with this as well. Never had a problem flashing and I'm on Windows 10 64 bit fast ring.

Do you use only Sony PC companion bundled drivers and Flashtool works whitout his proprietary drivers? T
Be sure to disable "Driver signature verification" before installing the drivers (if you're using Windows 8.1 or 10), otherwise they won't install properly and Flashtool will report that the drivers aren't installed.

Once it's done, you'll be able to install the drivers provided with Flashtool, and be able to flash your ROM

Just found that we can use the drivers from Sony Companion software. Power off the phone, hold volume down and connect the USB cable.
Start Sony companion software and click on Repair my Software. Drivers will be installed then.

Don't know what's happening, but my windows 8.1 laptop refuses to recognize my xperia mini pro when in fastboot. Literally had no problem when flashing kernels in my old windows 7 laptop. Tried literally everything I can think of.
1. disable driver signature verification in win 8.1
2. install all drivers from flashtool (interestingly I do not see sk17i in the device list maybe that's the problem)
3.install drivers from pc companion (connects normally in media transfer, but not in fastboot)
4.installed andriod sdk
5.modified win_usb file with sony's version (my laptop doesn't prompt me to install drivers when I plug my mini pro in fastboot)
6. turned off mtp mode and turned on debugging.
Additional info: my mini pro is running pac man 4.3
What else am I'm missing? This is basically my last resort after hours of searching. I will be extremely grateful for any assistance.

I want to upgrade my xperia m2 to 4.4.4 using flashtool, but when i start the flashing process it tells me to install the drivers for my phone using the flashtool drivers app included in flashtool. But i cant seem to find the driver for the m2 in there. Anyone know where i can get drivers for the M2?
I can't seem to find them either. BTW i'm just guessing here you may not need drivers for that. Install every driver given in flashtool's driver package. It'll ask you to install several times just say yes when the window comes. After that switch off device and just connect it in flashmode. It'll start installing S1 boot driver then you'll find device connected in flashmode. Same with fastboot. After that you may try flashing KK ftf. Good luck
I actually just got it to work. What i did was uninstalled flashtool and installed the newest version from the xda thread and it worked without any driver installation.
I'll try that now
Yes, its mendatory and required to have drivers for every specific device.
So, in your case you can get specific drivers for Xperia M2 from the Sony official smartphone blog and also from sony official website, by clicking on support option.

Please help me mates. I tired the exact process but still flashtool isn't locating drivers for my device. Pc companion doesn't have drivers. And about sony support tells me to install pc companion for that. Please figure out what wrong i might be doing. I request you guys.
Edit: I got the drivers from PC companion. But it's tricky. If you've flashtools installed just uninstall it and restart pc. After that fresh install PC companion. If you had pc companion installed earlier then remove it too. Okay so you installed pc companion. Now don't connect your phone just yet. open pc companion and click how to connect in the upper left corner. Go through the procedure and select via usb. when it starts searching for phone then connect your phone and wait don't do anything just wait. You'll see a pc companion window opening telling it's installing drivers for your phone. After that process there's no error in flashtool.
I should've waited
Hi everyone,
I'd like to flash a firmware on my Z3, however, my PC (?) or more precisely FlashTool doesn't recognize my phone. For now, I don't really know what to do, I installed Sony PC Companion thinking that this could help, like I said, I installed the drivers with the Flashtool drivers exec, but when I plug my phone and click on Flash Device, there is no device found.
Thank you !
Hi,
I've been trying to flash a non-carrier firmware for my new Xperia Z5 but have had 0 luck - every time I get to the point where I need to connect the Xperia Z5, flashtool tells me I need to install the drivers - I've installed the drivers from the Driver folder in flashtool, and other than that I have no idea what to do.
I never had such issues with the Z3.
Anyone else had this problem? Can you share how you got past it, or where you found this magical driver?
Thanks
Did the drivers actually install? Initially, I would get install failed in my windows 10 box because the drivers are unsigned.

I really can't remember if there was any kind of pop up when i first connected the Z5 to my pc. Is there a manual way to install it? I assume they were installed when I installed PC Companion.
The path is: *:\Flashtool\drivers\Flashtool-drivers.exe
You need to deactivate drive signature enforcement by the way.
Do you have pc companion installed? It has the drivers needed.
When u connect your phone in flash mode the driver will install automatically.
By the way which windows do you have?
Well, I have pc companion installed and flashtool still says i have no drivers installed. Windows 10

Most probably you have to start windows in a mode that allows unsigned drivers installation.
Click restart button while holding shift key, choose troubleshoot, then advanced options, then startup settings and then press F7 (disable driver sign enforcement)
Edit: just to clarify a few things. You might have the Sony pc companion installed, make sure you connect at least once your device though and the connection works, such as have it backup your settings for instance.
Other than that, from flashtool's drivers only need to install the first 2 if I remember correctly, the android fastboot and the internal flashtool driver as well.

Where I can get Xperia L drivers?
I have only TWRP on my phone and only way to get in phone is to use ADB sideboot, but when I use it Devices manager I see Android. I tried to download official drivers from Sony Xperia website and it didn't work also tried Android SDK Google USB Drivers. But both don't work.

if you are using windows 10, first go into adb mode in phone and connect it to PC, then use driver pack solution online to install adb and fastboot drivers. (the drivers provided by flashtool are old for windows 10). I've used this method and it works for me.
