Hey everyone.
I need some help with an HDMI- DVI problem on my MK808B Plus
Goal:
Connect my Android Mini-TV (MK808B Plus) to a specific PC monitor.
Problem:
Monitor has a resolution of 1440x900 and no HDMI.
Story:
I have an old monitor as described above that i want to use for a small project. This project involves an android device. I chose to go with the MK808B Plus. Knowing the connections available on the monitor, i also bought a Mini HDMI to DVI-D adapter cable. I hooked it all up and the monitor detected the input but wouldn't display an image. Just random lines sometimes and then black like it was attempting to connect.
I then hooked it up to another monitor via HDMI and it worked just fine. I then plugged it into the same monitor's DVI port using the adapter and the monitor seemed to see it, and try to display it, but to no avail.
I would like any and all help i can get with this problem. If need be i can even swap the android stick for another model as i have just purchased it.
Thanks

Hi i got an old tablet, a Viewsonic S10, with a HDMI port and i was wondering if it coul be use as a main monitor?
As I do lot of tech suport off site it would be most usefull when client have a dead monitor or no monitor at all.
All the solutions I found so far require a software on the pc and a wireless connection.
What I'm looking for is an app that would simulate the response of a moitor on the hdmi port and display what it receives.

I'm a science teacher and I use a galaxy note 10.1 (original) to do my lectures and I project the image on the screen with allshare cast. The problem is, our school has old projectors with no HDMI and only XGA resolution. Up until now, I have been using an HDMI --> DVI cable which displays the image clearly. The problem of course is that there is no sound. I don't need sound most of the time, so I've been getting by without it.
However, after reading a few threads on here I found that people had success using allshare with the Cable Matters active HDMI --> VGA with audio cable on amazon. So I picked up one of those. I connected the cable and sound, made sure to power it with the usb cable, and it shows up with just a black screen. No matter what configuration it is in, it just shows a black screen. When I pull the HDMI cable out of allshare and put it into a laptop (acer chromebook), the image displays on the screen fine. So the VGA cable and adapter both work.
Allshare works on the projector with DVI, but not VGA, whereas a laptop works with both on the same projector. Any help?
Does that HDMI-VGA adapter support HDCP? I'm pretty sure there's been a change to the ASCD to require HDCP support on the "display" end.

I did see that, though I'm still on the old LJ02 firmware and furthermore the others I've heard with hdcp issues received a message saying that the device was not hdcp compatible. In my case I cant even see the allshare cast instruction screen (it's black) but I CAN see the dongle on my device and connect.
Hi Everybody,
When connecting my LG Optimus G (CM 11) to my Asus 1440×900 screen through 1) an MHL adapter 2) an HDMI cable and 3) an HDMI->DVI converter, I keep getting a 640px x 480px output regardless of the resolution set. I've already tried three of the resolution changer programs available on google play. When setting different resolutions, changes take effect on the screen of my mobile, but the image of the secondary screen is always fitted into a 640×480 "frame". Then this is stretched on the monitor.
When I connect my mobile to an HDMI-capable monitor through the MHL adapter and an HDMI cable, the phone can recognise the resolution of the monitor, and no such problems occur.
When I connect my computer to my Asus monitor through the setup described above (MHL adapter, HDMI cable, HDMI/DVI converter), resolution is fine.
Do you think this problem is software-related? Can I somehow force the MHL output to the resolution of my monitor?
Thank you for your help in advance.
Please post in Freaking Annoying Questions (aka FAQ)- LG Optimus G(Intl) so that one the experts for your device may be of help.
I recently purchased a micro-hdmi to VGA adapter in the hopes I could connect my tf700 to my external monitor. The forum won't allow me to link to the adapter I ordered but it was through Amazon. The brand is Cable Maters.
I connected it, but nothing is displaying on the monitor. No F8 on the keyboard. Is there something I need to set on the tablet? Sorry, not very technical.
Well, you need to set your TV to the correct input port. Check your TV user guide. With my Panasonic there's a "Source" button on the remote which allows you to select the source of your signal, don't know what that would be for your TV

can you say the model of your monitor?
(the monitor must support FullHD resolution of 1920×1080 or be able to scale it.
some adapters issue a fullHD image, regardless of the input resolution)
try to connect to another monitor or from another tablet
The first adapter that I bought on the Internet did not work.
Hello everyone,
I would really like some help advice/experience from other here regarding the HTC U11. I was just using the device normally one day and the screen went black completely. I think the touch screen is dead as well, as it doesnt seem to respond when I attempt my usual pattern unlock from muscle memory. I am sure the device is still working normally as I had... accidentally connected to emergency operators, could still use Whatsapp Web and my PC does show HTC U11 but I am unable to change the option to MTP to transfer my files.
Does anyone have any advice on how I can access my data through enabling usb debugging/ changing the connection mode to MTP? Apart from repairing the screen only.
While I am not sure about the software options. I am attempting to output using a Type C to HDMI hub to output display and use a mouse to access the phone. Since it was rather hard for me to find answers about the compatibility and usage so I was hoping to get some experiences so can quickly attempt this method when the few cables I purchase arrive.
1) Are these type C to HDMI cables generic? I have seen some articles saying there are type C to hdmi with MHL and others with digital output and I confused if those I bought will work with the U11. (Seller says works to Macbook, Xiaomi, Huawei P20)
2) Are these adapters simply plug and go? Do I have to unlock the screen or install any firmware (as I clearly dont have a screen haha..)? Does this apply for both the HDMI output and using a mouse
3) Would I specifically need a SMART TV with HDMI to get output out or any monitor with HDMI would work fine?
If anyone have a working U11 and using HDMI to Type C would really love to hear from you!
Thank you for any advice/experiences in advice!
