Hi All:
I have used more than one HTC smartphones (One S & M8), then I left HTC for Samsung because of a thing it could sound strange but it is about my control over my smartphone & how I feel regarding the smartphone I'm using.
I have two questions I'd like from A9 owners to answer me regarding it:-
1- Vibration feedback .... when you answer a call & the phone screen is on, HTC UI will assume that you need to be notified that your call have been answered by vibrating ....... in A9 is the case still the same or I can stop vibrating completely ??
2- Vibration feedback when using fingerprint scanner ........... again I read some where every time you use fingerprint scanner the phone will vibrate when you pass the lock !!!!!!!!!!!!??
I hope the case is not the same anymore, HTC should stop this vibrating stuff since the battery is already small & vibrating consume more power & for me it is so annoying thing.
a Smartphone should only vibrate when I want it to vibrate, it is something up to me not to HTC UI or Android !
You can disable haptic feedback once and for all in settings.
No by disable haptic feedback.
Iam still facing same, i already disable all haptic feedback and all vibrations.

Hi all,
I own a HTC Desire and I don't like the vibrate sensivity. It's too strong and it doesn't feel good... Previously I owned Windows Mobile phones and it was very easy to adjust the vibrate sensitivity... There was also an app to enable vibrate on every tap....
Is this possible? (I really mean in general, not just ringtone vibration or keyboard vibration)
THANKS!
No one interested???
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App
Got the same issue, at least for sms and calls I reduced it with smart vibrator by reducing the duration of the vibration
Any news of you ? Did you find a solution ?
I'm interested too... My Desire vibrates too much on my desk !
Ty chill91. SmartVibrator works well for this. Yes it still sucks I can't modify the vibration intensity, but at least I can cut it down to a short burst.
Hi there,
new HTC Sensaton arrived today - and I have problem with it. It vibrates very loud - it's even uncomfortable to use it in quiet places (vibrations when using buttons). When the back cover is off it's fine - it's perfectly quiet. When it's on - some part of back cover just vibrates, or something between the body and back cover cracks. I did some tests with foam tape inside - sometimes helps, sometimes not, also it's not what you want to do with a new phone.
Anybody else expecting this problem ? Is replacement the only solution ?
Thanks!

I don't have the Sensation yet, but you should be able to deactivate the haptic feedback without problems - just go to Settings -> Sound and disable "Haptic feedback". This won't affect incoming call or messaging vibrations, only the very annoying touch vibrations most Android phones come preconfigured with. If there are still other places that show haptic feedback, special settings in that specific application are typically to blame (like call dialer-feedback which has its own preference panel on most phones; keyboard vibration on some keypads which can be disabled under Settings -> Language & Keyboard).

I know that - but I do like vibrate feedback of touch operations. I use it now in Desire HD, and I want to keep it. Also I don't expect it to be a problem with every Sensation. I just hope that someone got same problem and managed to fix the hardware - using hammer or something like that.
Hi all:
I hope to find an answer to my question, as in subject , I have a very big problem about this option "Vibrate on answer".
I have HTC one S updated to 4.1 Jelly bean, sense 4+,.......... S4 processor and I can't find this option any where in settings.
when I call some one, if the person in other side pick up the call my mobile vibrate , it could be a good feature but it is annoying me too much, in spite of that I turn off all vibration features every where (Keyboard, sound, messages & battery saving) but still I'm getting this small vibration when call is answered.
I tried to press down volume and change profile to Silent and Vibration but also not working, as I tried with different app like callvibrate and my settings ....ect , nothing could disable this vibrate
Now I'm thinking If there is no solution I will use CyanogenMod 10 (stable) as my last solution.
So does the CyanogenMod 10 have this option "vibrate on answer", is every thing working fine..... GPS, camera, ...ect
what is the main issues with CyanogenMod 10 ???
sorry because i'm asking so many questions , I tried really hard to solve this issue , I search and googled alot , and i'm looking for your help
regards,
but before that I wish if some one help me to find out how to solve this issue " I don't want my mobile vibrate when some one answer my call"
please help
Any way I figured out the answer and I will post it here for general knowledge.
This issue (Vibrate on answer) is a missing option in HTC sence 4+
it is because of the proximity sensor, you will notice that If you put the mobile close to your ears there will be no vibration as the screen will be turned off, but …. If you hold the screen away from your ears the screen will be turned off and the mobile will vibrate when the other party pick up the call.
It could be a good feature, but the mobile owner should have the right to turn it off, I hope HTC will listen and add this option to the settings list.
If you still want to turn this option off, you can use an app to turn off the proximity sensorbut then the screen will not be turned off if you put the mobile close to your ears.
Still I'm thinking about CM 10 because of this missing option.
Hi,
I have done a script to automatically switch my phone into vibrate mode when I am close to my work building.
Unfortunately, the task of switching the phone to vibrate mode generates a vibration haptic feedback
This is annoying because each time I am coming close to my office, I think I have received a SMS, and in reality it is just the phone switch automatically to vibration mode.
How can I turn off this haptic feedback when switching to vibration mode?
Regards, Chris
Hi, I am surprised no one is interested in having vibrate mode without having the haptic feedback.
Regards, Chris
Some ROMs have an option to disable haptic feedback. Look for it under Settings > Sound. On Omni ROM, it's called "Vibrate on touch".
This is a bit annoying. Always the haptic feedback...
Hello everyone,
About 8 months ago I dropped my Pixel. I was pretty upset, had only had it a month, but all it did was put a dent right where the opening for the speaker is. Sound worked, screen wasn't cracked, I was happy.
Well, 8 months have gone by and about 2 days ago I think the mesh that covers the speaker has turned loose from the case. Again, no big deal, it's still there, sound still works, etc. BUT ... now I get this HORRIBLE metal rattle every single time the phone vibrates.
Does anyone know how to turn off ALL vibration for the phone?
I've gone through Settings -> Sounds and turned it off for phone calls and touches. I've gone through some individual apps like Hangouts and Messages and turned it off for those app's notifications. But there are so many times the phone vibrates.
How do I turn off the vibrate for when you unlock with the fingerprint sensor? How do I turn off the vibrate for when you double click the power button to quick launch the camera?
If anybody knows how to disable ALL vibration on the phone I would appreciate it.
Thanks,
Chris Williams
Don't think you can disable the fingerprint vibration or the camera vibration unless you're running a custom rom. You could try and run a custom kernel that let's you set the vibration intensity. You could then set it to 0 and the vibration motor won't work anymore.
