[Q] Activate Verizon's Moto G with with other carrier

Hi!
I'm planning to buy the Moto G from Verizon, the $99 Walmart/BestBuy one, but will I be able to activate it with a carrier other than Verizon that uses CDMA?
As I don't live in USA it would be useless as a phone, thanks in advance.

You can't unlock the bootloader on the Verizon version, therefore you can not activate with another carrier.
You can however get the Boost Moto G and activate with another carrier.
I'm not sure what you mean that it would be useless as a phone because you don't live in the USA...
Why would you want a CDMA version if you don't live in the US? I would much rather use the GSM version of the Moto G but GSM coverage is fairly lacking where I live in Southwest US.. Cheers.
I live near the frontier with the USA, so I thought it could be easy to buy a Verizon Moto G and activate it here in Mexico with Iusacell, as it is a CDMA carrier. Looks like I'll have to buy the Boost Mobile one.
Thanks You! :good:
I thought it could be activated with Iusacell, as this guy said he did it. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=51014678&postcount=5

Moto G bought from Straight Talk Question

So the Moto G bought from straight talk uses TMobile's network.
Question is if I purchase a Straight Talk AT&T sim for use in this phone will it work?
This is the 4G LTE model. Easier on the wallet at $169 than $219 if doable.
I think the one from ST is not the same as the one motorola is selling for $219. From youtube videos I have seen it doesnt have an SD card slot so I am guessing its the older GSM version of the moto g
According to a few posts on the ST forum, it is indeed the 4G LTE Moto G with the Micro SD slot.

I bought a G from ST.
This phone is sim locked and is not the LTE. They won't unlock and the phone won't run any sim that isn't the tracfone T-Mobile compatible, same issue for APN settings.
This phone will only run off T-Mobile if you buy it from Straight talk.
Save yourself the hassle, buy the GPe or regular unlocked version and then get a micro sim for AT&T from ST after. Don't buy it from ST or you are wasting time and money.

My Flex 2 came in today and it has no option for lte. It is the H959 version so it should get lte on ATT but only issue is it has no option for lte. Any suggestions?

Only the AT&T Flex 2 (H950) supports AT&T LTE. The international version (H959) does not support AT&T LTE bands.
Yes, but
Isn't there a thread on here somewhere to enable more bands (T-Mobile bands I think)?
T-Mobile has LTE, and you can use Straight Talk as your provider; their LTE is fast as hell.

T-Mobile uses Band(s) 2-4-12 for LTE, and 1700/2100mhz + rearmed 1900mhz 3G/HSPA+.
VoLTE won't work because TMO isn't going to certify non-T-Mobile phones.

Can any model Lg g flex 2 work on AT&T?

I found several brand new lg g flex 2's on ebay but they don't say if they're sprint, us cellular, or at&T.
