My friend installed TWRP prior to trying to root phone but forgot to update kernel and is now stuck, unrooted, in bootloop, but cannot access Smartswitch because TWRP comes up when recovery buttons are used at boot. How can we bypass TWRP or somehow get the phone to be seen by Smartswitch to do an emergency initialize?
Alternatively, will we be able to flash Samsung firmware (XSG-N910CXXU1COI4-20150925140936.zip) using Odin if stuck in the bootloop/not recognized by computer?
Many thanks in advance.
Phone:
Samsung SMN-910C
OS 5.1.1
N910CXXU1Coi4
Kernel: 3.10.9-5745209
[email protected]#1
Build: LMY47X.N910CXXU1Coi4
United Arab Emirates unlocked phone
Now stuck with Philz menu instead of TWRP for download mode
Now he is stuck in either a bootloop or when hitting recovery combo, coming into Philz kernel menu.
Many thanks in advance for any assistance someone can offer. He's stuck after flashing in TWRP Philz6.58.9-treltexx-ExynosSM-N910C

So basically I managed to brick my new S6. I rooted it by flashing the unibase with odin. The phone booted correctly and everything was fine. I then decided I needed a custom recovery. I used the application Flashify to flash the recovery. When the phone rebooted, it was stuck on the Samsung logo, with a red message at the stop saying "recovery is not seandroid". What do I do? I'm guessing I need to flash new files using odin but I don't know which - I'm on android 5.1.1 and my model number is SM-G920F. Any help would be appreciated.
In Odin install the .tar (or .tar.md5) files provided with TWRP (https://dl.twrp.me/zeroflte/twrp-2.8.7.2-zeroflte.img.tar.html) or PhilZ Touch Recovery (http://www.arter97.com/browse/exynos7420/recovery/11.0/g920fi/) made by arter97.
It is possible that installing TWRP again using Odin can cause the S6 going into another bootloop. My solution for that is to flash a kernel (like arter97's one or Adam Kernel) and then the phone should boot just fine.
Edit: If you will flash a custom kernel you will not need to root the phone again because these contain SuperSU and maybe Busybox.
hello everyone...i have bought galaxy s6 g920f and i decided to install twrp 2.8.7.2 on stock 5.1.1 to take a backup of stock rom before installing any other rom and after i have take the backup i pressed on reboot system and then the keep rebooting and showin (samsung galaxy s6)logo only and doesn't boot up but i can go to dowload mode and recovery...then i tried to restore the back up which i had take but now to stuck on samsung logo without restarting and when trying to enter recovery it shows (recovery is not seandroid enforcing)
It's in bootloop. Just download the image, go into download mode and flash it via Odin.

thank u....i have resolved the problem by doing the installing of twrp process all over again but with installing unikernel before boot up the device
Hi,
After i had flash a bootloader, modem and TWRP from this https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=50807 , i have some strange problems.
First, when i use odin now to flash a bootloader or TRWP and Official firmware, i had the message "fail".
The most strange it's my recovery mode, before they start i have a blue screen with this message "installing update system", after this they show me an android with warning sign. When i succees to enter recovery, i juste have the basic one and a strange message at the top "(Android Recovery. Samsung/zerofltexx/zeroflte. 6.0.1/MMB29K/G920FXXU3PAD. User/release-keys".
Now i just want to have TWRP, to flash a custom rom, but always odin show me the message "fail".
Any idea ?
Thanks
Model? What android version did you have?
the FW : G920FXXU3DPAD_G920FOXA3DPAE_XEF
Model : G920F
I suceed to install the XEF FW and to install the 3.0.0 TWRP by odin, however when i want to enter recovery i just have the galaxy S6 animation and this "RECOVERY IS NOT SEANDROID ENFORCING"
Its stuck on s6 boot screen ? Or start nomal?

Did you install a new rom?
Try this one.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...xtrestolite-deodexed-mod-edition-1-3-t3119968
With the add-on package you can activate all the required bloatware if you need it.

Hey bud your doing alright I believe your problem is that you can't boot your phone up into the os after flashing twrp you have to boot directly into twrp from download mode. Having said that the easiest way for me is to untick the auto reboot button in odin before you flash twrp. Now there is a problem with the latest firmware and I believe that is mentioned either in the thread you referred in you post or if not on another thread here in this forum you can search it if you are interested in reading more. But the thing to do to avoid problems when rooting is to remove you google account first before rooting. So if you already have a logged in google account first thing to do is boot back into the os if possible and remove google account then boot back into download mode and flash twrp in odin + boot directly into twrp from download mode either by the way I mention or hold down power, volume up, and home at the same time until you see powered by android boot screen and up top some small red info then let go, that should boot you into recovery now (twrp) once there flash supersu in twrp and reboot back into the os... done. You don't need to donate to me just simply hit the thanks and I would be happy with that.
After saying all that if you can't get into your os and delete your google account then go to this thread it explains what your problem is and what you should do... http://forum.xda-developers.com/tmo...ral/n920tuvu3dpg1-firmware-available-t3421733
I hope this helps, good luck.

It's probably the version of TWRP that you flashed. Get the latest tar here and flash it in Odin. Remember: Reboot directly to recovery, and flash SuperSU if you haven't already so it will stick.
Hi im trying to update my samsung G920F to a marshmallow but any attempt to leaves it in a bootloop. Ive sucessfully installed twrp however when installing a custom rom the device is stuck at the Samsung loading screen. Ive tried usuing diffrent versions of odin, twrp and also tried to install stock firmwares for anroid 5 and 6 via odin but all fail. Ive restored the phone back to android 5.1.1 using smart switch and then attemped to root it with CF-root so then i can try install the recovery using the app but after flashing cf root with odin the phone is stuck in a boot loop again with 'Kernel is not Seandroid Enforcing ' on the top left of the screen.
Do i need to do anything before i flash the rom or twrp or root?
and does anyone know how to update the G920F to android 6?
thanks
Which error do you get when you try to flash a stock rom over Odin?
