Stuck with network lock?? - LG G Flex 2

Um I flashed my h950 from eBay onto the pr5.1.1 that everyone has recommended. Now trying to activate my T-Mobile sim. Sim inserts fine, but it says network locked. Um now what? Wasn't this thing unlocked out of the box??
Sorry, very green at this, since I am coming from nexus devices...

If the phone wasnt unlocked since it was on 5.0.1 ATT, then it shouldnt be unlocked when you flash it to H950PR. You´ll have to order an unlock code and enter it.
Thats just a quick guess btw. Did you try your tmo sim on it when it was stock att_?

Sometimes the code is sent thru ebay messages or included in the box. Contact the seller and ask for code.
That way you dont have to spend on buying it.

The problem is that there is no password prompt...so I cannot even punch it in. Anyone know how to ilicit the password prompt??

Try 2945*950#
select network lock or service provider lock
to see if it asks for code?

No prompt...I got imei easily with the command...but this combo doesn't have any prompt

Unlock Att Fuze ?

Yesterday, i just got Att Fuze without contract but that need to be filled the code. My friend said that i can buy the code on somewhere but after hard reset that code will be lost and need to fill another code again. Another way that is using unlockcid and hardspl but after that he dont know exactly what will happen and just know Fuze can up another rom. So after i unlockcid and hardspl, the first rom att built in will not change ?
if my thread put on a wrong place, mod please move it on a right place, thanks

Just read the sticky in the rom development section, the one about UNLOCKER. You will need to pay for it. But it is worth it.
So, can you use the Unlocker multiple times, if you need it after a hard re-set? Or, do you need to purchase another? Thanks!
(Edit: I think I know the answer from reading the Unlocker thread, but I don't understand all the techno-stuff and get nervous.)
Why don't you just read the sticky thread regarding the unlocker.
I have read the thread, but like I said, I don't understand all of the techno-stuff and am not interested in flashing new ROMs. Most of the questions and answers go beyond what I want to know (Q. Do I need to SIM unlock everytime I hard re-set the device? Answer: I don't think so.).

Answer. No
Response. Thank you!
i just asked that after unlockcid, the rom att built that will be earsed or something will be change. And before i post this thread i know i need to pay for the code and read sticky already, so this one is not my question.
Mod please close this thread
Just call At&t customer service. There is a free lunch for us At&t customers. Tell them you are traveling abroad and you will immediately receive your unlock code. That is what I did

isn't that only for sim unlock, as in, you still can't flash another radio?

How does that relate to the CID unlocker? To flash roms and radios you need to hard-spl your phone. CID unlock is a security unlock. SIM Unlock can be provided by the provider. and flashing roms/radios is possible by flashing hard-spl.
I unlocked mine through www.htccode.com and they had the code to me in 5 minutes. It was easy and they walked me through it. I would use them if I were you, they were great!!!

[Q] SIM Unlock code not working

Hello all. I found a thread on how to pull the unlock code off my tmobile galaxy s 4g using the embedded information on the phone. I tried this code with no success so I decided to give tmobile a call to get the code. So today I get an email with the code and it is the same exact one that I pulled off the phone and it still doesnt work. It this point I do not know what else to do. I tried both the apps from the andriod store with no success(helroz/ SGS Unlock) one says null and the other is blank where the code supposed to be. Does anyone have any ideas? My phone is the samsung sgh-t959v tmobile galaxy s which has been ungraded to 2.3.6 via klies mini and is rooted via superoneclick 2.3.3-shortfuse. Any help is appreciated.
Flash back to stock and walk into a T-Mobile store with your phone and the email.
Posted from my SGS4G, thanks to Team Acid development
You need to have a different carriers SIM card to use the code. Find a buddy who has ATT and put that SIM in the phone. Reboot and enter the code. Presto you're now unlocked.

So I decided to call the store before wasting gas and I am glad I did. The agent said there is nothing that they can do and I must call customer case to resolve this. Let the drama begin...

I used a digicel sim card that I have still active in another country (Jamaica) with the sim unlock attemps. The only other sim that I have laying around is an old metro pcs sim thats deactivated. I doubt it is the sim the phone is just not taking the code.

So your running stock/rooted and you've tried another carriers card. OK. I'm not sure whether that SIM has to be able to get connection or not. Next step would be to borrow someones card. I know when I unlocked mine I just popped in an ATT sim. Entered the code and that was it.
So I just got off the phone with customer care. They are saying that the imei on my account dosent match the phone I am requesting the sim unlock for so they have to correct that first before resending the code again. But what I dont get is why when i pull the hex code off of the phone the code matches the first unlock code they gave me. Both these things seem to tell me that the code is correct but why isnt the phone accepting it? I have 5 attempts remaining left and I have tried to reset it from some threads that I see but with no luck. Hope I dont end up with a useless phone. If I run a custom rom on my phone will it unlock it that way?
You need to be on stock to get the phone to accept the unlock code so don't flash anything else.
not to hijack, I'm on remics rom. If i were to put in a sprint sim and enter the unlock code that would not work?

not sure, but i do know it was one of raver's roms. either the last audiophile rom or un-named rom. i've been a raver rom fan since the beginning until aokp came to our device.

Those are still stock based. That is why it worked.

Insert a non-accepted SIM card, then the device will ask for the unlock code, input the code they have you from VZW and triple check what you input (it will be masked by asterisks).
That's about it.

Spoke to 2 friends that are more into the CDMA stuff and they both said that there is virtually no locks for CDMA, unless its highly subsidized and then again its unlikely they've locked it.Anyway, that's not 100% correct for sure.
That code they gave you could be one that you provide to the provider you want to switch the phone to.
Imo best is to ask the operator how to use it, they may have some internal procedures we may not know of.

got unlock code from sprint..

Sounds like they merely gave you the MSL, which does nothing for you.
From the sounds of it, it looks like you're looking for DSU, which Sprint needs to push an over-the-air programming update to your phone to do. Be aware that you need to be out of contract/have the device paid off for them to unlock it.
The Flex 2 is also missing one of AT&T's LTE bands, FYI.
