How is this possible

I have no clue. It happened a little while ago

WTF? Awesome. This looks like official T-Mobile OTA but it's definitely not available for mine yet...

Wonder why the baseband is unknown?

There's the catch, you needed an update and they've gone ahead and updated the Ota system to send out marshmallow instead of lp they just haven't pushed it yet! I'd be curious to see if it can be reproduced by Odining coi5 and trying it again!

Did you factory reset after updating?
Flash a stock rooted ROM and you should be good to go.

Any one try this Note 5 Nougat Trick?

It's not available for T-Mobile yet. Don't do this or you risk bricking your device

Jody breeze is right. The only why this would work is if we had a nougat kernel for the tmobile note5. Unfortunately we don't have one. Another issue is that the bootloader is from a different country and would probably brick our phone if we flash it with odin.

This is built using Aroma installer.
Easily switch between 3.1.1.0 elsa for stock based roms.
Easily switch to 3.0.2-1 to flash AOSP roms.

Flash recovery inside your recovery in case you need to downgrade from 3.1.1.0 to run AOSP. Or to upgrade to 3.1.1.0 for more features.
Sent from my LG-LS997 using Tapatalk
Thanks @rootlinux it is fully functional on my ls997. I just need an AOSP ROM to test it on. I'm thinking OneDon's might be a good start.
Anyone find an AOSP that they use as a daily driver yet?

If there are updates available for your device, you can download it and flash it via Odin. It's much better than updating via OTA.
