Install recovery without pc - Sony Xperia M2

I have a rooted Xperia M2,d2303, I've installed xposed installer and made loads of changes, is there anyway to install custom recovery without a pc as I would really like to use a custom rom, I've tried flashify and rasher recovery tool, rom manager and they don't support my phone, I'm not able to understand the workings of adb and drivers and flashtools on a computer so any help would be appreciated so much.
Thank you.

hmm no way flash recovery without pc, btw try mobileuncle, but I don't really work

It's easy trust me
Install your Flashmode and fastboot and phone drivers (There is a small app in Flashtools which can install Flashmode and Fastboot, It's located inside a folder called "Drivers" in the installation folder of flashtools,
Then follow this guide it shows you how to root and install custom recovery and how to use adb to install a custom recovery

[guide][bricked] [cwm] [all XPERIA ] [ftf] [zip]

HEY EVERYONE THIS IS AKASHPILLAI IM GONNA HELP YOU
With ANY PROBLEM
[bricked]
I really easy if you have locked bootloader to unbrick via pc companion first I'm gonna tell you how to unbrick any xperia devices
So if you are locked bootloader try 1 if not try 2 Or try 3 . And don't ask before searching Google.
(1)
Pc companion method
Download pc companion install it if you have no need. Download drivers of you xperia smartphone and download xperia flashmode and fastbootbmode driver after installing this connect you xperia into fastboot mode and go update and then go to repair and follow all the steps and you will have unbricked xperia
(2)
Cwm method for half dead devices stuck on boot logo .
If you gave cwm installed then it's easy if you don't have cwm installed then. no problem. download the cwm for your device in your pc then download you device drivers. And extract the cwm there will be .bat and .Sh extension files if you are running Windows run bat format if you are running ubuntu run sh format
And install cwm and you are done go to cwm from your device and flash Rom. If you got kernel problem you will say now how I will flash kernel if you have flashtool you can go to fastboot mode and install kernel then flash the Rom . Or else you can restore your Rom if you have
(3) ftf
Ftf is a firmware everyone knows that
Its simple just download the firmware of your device which you want to flash then download the drivers and after that download the flashtool. Connect the device to pc then just drag the ftf to flashtool and you are done
Anyone of these will work have a unbrick xperia smartphone
About 2012 xperia device does not need to flash kernel if you have in a Rom.zip no need to flash kernel via flashtool or any kernel flasher
Don't forget to hit thanks if I helped

[Q] sony xperia p usb drivers

Hello,
I'm trying to install Android 4.4.2 and im stuck at unlocking bootloader, more precisely with installing s1boot fastboot drivers. I start phone in fastboot mode by pressing volume up and plugging usb cable to my pc, blue light shows up and windows says that drivers are not installed, great. However, when I try to install the drivers it never succeeds. I manually point the way to the usb_driver folder. So I'm asking if there's any other way than this to install the drivers or how do i do it this way.
Thanks
Are the drivers meant specifically for your device? And when you say you can't install them, why not? Do you get some sort of error message. If so, what does it say?
Yes, i was doing it by a tutorial thats for my phone. And yes Windows throws out a message ''Wasn't possible to install S1Boot Fastboot'' or something like that, I dont have Windows in english and my english skills are lacking. And my phone is rooted, forgot to mention.
okay, it was tough but i installed the drivers, and now im at this part
[If using Minimal ADB & Fastboot] Run Minimal ADB and Fastboot installer
[If using Minimal ADB & Fastboot] Type fastboot flash boot boot.img and press Enter
[If using Minimal ADB & Fastboot] It will flash boot.img in few seconds
[If using Minimal ADB & Fastboot] Type fastboot reboot and press Enter
Now when your device is booting up, press power button to enter recovery mode
Now navigate to Install Zip from SD Card and install ROM zip and then Gapps zip the same way
But i dont have the Gapps zip. Is it possible to install the ROM and then LATER install the gapps directly form the phone ? Thanks, im kindof in hurry, because now my phone doesnt normally start up and im stuck here. Thanks

Hi, thanks for responding, use the method provided by Sony to unlock the bootloader by IMEI and ADB code , but has not been rooted, and what I want is to apply Root to install a recovery, : C
Edit: I could already install the root on my phone , now the detail is , I can not install or start the recovery in recovery, and probe the tutorial:
https://www.xda-developers.com/how-to-install-twrp/
Both tutorials tells me : The installation is correct, but does not let me in recovery, even try installing the app TWRP and downloading the recovery from this , but nothing does not let me in recovery or using the ADB or the combination of buttons
Use TWRP

Hi newbie as u mentiones u have unlocked ur bootloader get flashtool and install the drivers for ur Z3 from there adb drivers fastboot drivers and the Z3 driver. in win 7+ u need to go to advanced start and disable signature verification to install the drivers
after that u connect the device to flashtool. u need the TWRP 3.0.X and an systemless Supersu. Go in the \x10flasher_lib in Flashtool folder and place the Twrp recovery there. Next while in the folder u press shift+rightcklick and select open CMD here,
start ur Z3 in Fastbootmode and then use this command in CMD: fastboot flash recovery (recoveryimgfile). After that u will be able to boot to recovery. boot to recovery and then transfer the supersu.zip into ur phone, select Install and then go ahead and choose the supersu.zip, wait a bit and ur done GG. Well Boosted bro.

How do I install gapps [manually]

Okay so here's the thing. I can neither access my recovery, nor my bootloader. I tried to flash my stock ROM, something screwed up, and I had to re-flash ResurrectionRemix.
Anyway, the phone is running fine but I don't have gapps. I can't access my recovery/bootloader/fastboot (all of them give a black screen ), so I can't really flash the zip. Even adb commands don't seem to be working. The PC doesn't recognize the phone when I boot into recovery/fastboot (black screen).
Is there a way to manually install the gapps? I've seen people in other forums where they said to manually copy the contents of the gapps zip to certain locations in the system folder, but I can't seem to find the proper steps for it. Which file goes where? Any help would be appreciated.
My device: Asus Zenfone 2 ZE551ML; running Resurrection Remix v5.7.4 (Android 6.0.1)
Gapps I'm trying to install: nano/pico (x86 version)

Oh I did try re-flashing the recovery using terminal emulator, but that doesn't work either. I also tried Flashify and Flash Gordon, but Flashify doesn't flash the zip (becomes unresponsive and closes) and Flash Gordon keeps saying that the zip is not flashable.
Anyhow, I'll try Flashify again.
Hello,
Enable USB debug from dev options
Install drivers and try again
When you access bootloader flash twrp again
Please flash recovery using fastboot. Only then it will be re written if current image is corrupted.
If you have root then use flashfire to flash recovery first and then flash gapps.
You also have a gapps installer app that can help you to download and flash gapps

Yes, I've enabled USB debugging.
And it's not that the drivers aren't working, my PC detects the phone as an adb device when the phone is turned on. But the phone doesn't connect to the PC when I enter recovery or fastboot. I only get a black screen.
On booting into recovery/fastboot, the device doesn't show up when I enter (in cmd)-
adb devices
Or
fastboot devices

I tried Flashify earlier, didn't work. I'll try Flashfire.
Also, there is a gapps installer app? I'll give that one a shot if Flashfire doesn't work.
And the reason I tried flashing recovery through terminal emulator is because I can't access fastboot mode either. All I get is a black screen, and when I connect the phone to the PC, it is not detected. So even the adb commands don't work.
The fastboot drivers are not installed properly. Boot into fastboot and then connect to pc. Go to device manager and make sure it is recognised as an android device

Download the drivers and install them manually through device manager and try again

This is what my Device Manager looks like after re-installing all the adb drivers and fastboot drivers.
And let me just clarify this. There isn't really a problem with the drivers. When the phone is switched on, it is detected as an adb device. But, when I try to reboot into recovery or fastboot, I get a black screen on my phone (even the led light does not show) and it is not detected by the PC - neither as an adb device, nor as a fastboot device.
When I get this black screen, I have to hold down the power button for some time to switch it off. Then I hold down the power button again to switch it on, and the phone boots up normally.
And yes, I also tried to enter recovery using the button combination, but that doesn't work either.
Did you try flashing twrp using the twrp app?

Yes, I tried that too. It successfully flashes TWRP but I still get a black screen when I try to boot into recovery.
copy the contents of the gapps zip to /system/data. but you must root you phone~~
https://www.google.com/amp/s/forum....guide-problem-black-screen-twrp-t3398461/amp/
You must check this thread
NOTE: instead of flashing a ROM use adb side load to flash the gapps.zip
go to developer options, enable usb debug and try to reboot in fastboot.
adb reboot bootloader
exit fastboot with:
fastboot reboot
Can i flash GApps with stock recovery?

Not necessary, the Gapps.zip can be flashed via TWRP like normal, whether you are flashing a ROM or not, no need to sideload.
If the device is rooted, Gapps.zip can also be flashed via Flashify and other similar root enabled flashing apps.

Trying to flash TWRP Recovery image & Root G8142 on Ubuntu - Need Help

Hi All,
I had a previously rooted 8142, but it crapped out on me last week, so I've just bought a new one. I'm trying to root it now. I've unlocked bootloader, and installed the TWRP app, but I can't figure out how to root it.
I was running windows and used Xperifix when I did my last one, but now I'm using Ubuntu, and there's not really any software (like Xperifix or One Click Root) available.
I've been using FlashTool, and can get it to show root privelages, but I have no idea how to flash a recovery image using it.
I tried using Platform Tools via the terminal and I think I was able to flash a TWRP recovery image to the device, but the TWRP app isn't seeing it, nor can I boot into recovery mode.
I tried to download a recovery image via the TWRP app, but even when it's downloaded, the TWRP app isn't finding any recovery images despite pointing the app to my downloads folder.
TWRP is also showing "No Root Permissions"
I can't flash SuperSu or any other ROM's without being able to boot into TWRP recovery menu.
Maybe I'll have to install windows to use the rooting software. Does anyone have any ideas? Been messing around with it 6 hours now and still can't boot into recovery.
Thanks for any ideas.
first I dont know if youre using fastboot so do "sudo apt install android-tools-adb android-tools-fastboot" then open a terminal were twrp is located and type fastboot flash recovery "name of twrp".img and then you are ready to go. I dont know if you can use this phone without a specific driver so that can be a problem. If you cant do it that way i recommend you using a virtual machine with windows and run fastboot (platform tools trough there) so you dont have to remove ubuntu.
Also remember how to access fastboot

well i forgot to mention, the fastboot flash recovery command depends on your android version so take that in count.
