Can't install Xposed on G2 Mini - General Questions and Answers

I'm trying to install Xposed on my G2 Mini so that I can block the volume buttons on the back as they're driving me mad constantly taking photos in my pocket. I've installed G2 Xposed, downloaded an .apk Xposed Installer it prompted me to but when I go to it and try to install the framework, it says that Xposed is not yet compatible with SDK 21 or my CPU architecure (armeabi-v7a) and below, there is such info:
CANNOT LINK EXECUTALE: could not load library "libdcm.so" needed by "/data/data/de.robv.android.xposed.installer/cache/app_process"; caused by library "libdvm.so" not found

Why is that so? How can I install Xposed, then? I need to cause it seems it's the only way to use G2 TweaksBox to block the aforementioned buttons and from what I read, people have installed Xposed with no problem on G2 Mini.

Have you installed BusyBox? Xposed needs BusyBox to work.

Oh... No I didn't, didn't know that. So should I install it now on top of the G2 Xposed and Xposed Installer or should I first uninstall everything and then install it one by one (BusyBox -> Xposed -> Xposed Installer)?

Install BusyBox, then Xposed., then your modules. I don't think there's any need to uninstall, just do it in that order and reinstall if it asks, and reboot when it says.

Starting from Xposed Install - install/update it
Then go back, Check for Modules and Tick Mark on it. Then Reboot.
Similarly Downloads options is there where you can find and access stuff if you tick mark it under Modules and Reboot it.
You are done

Hey Bro, Dont move any apps.
Uninstall Framework, then remove Xposed Installer app, Remove all modules. Reboot Handset.
Then Reinstall the Xposed Installer app and install framework. Reboot and install modules and check them in Installer box, Reboot again.
Everything will be normal.
Sometimes the framework becomes unresponsive and causes lag. I've faced this issue once.

Yeah. Just missing the check box.
actually you don't need to install any additional apk. I simply go to xposed installer and download/update 'GravityBox' module. and then start 'Xposed Framework'. it should work fine after restarting device (it did for me.)
hope this help

Just ran into this exact problem after my Nexus 5 was upgraded to 4.4.2. Step by step uninstall/reboot, reinstall framework/reboot, reinstall module/reboot didn't work. Installing the Gravity box module from the apk did. Thanks OP.
This took a few tried, but I eventually got it working doing the following:
1. Install the xposed installer from the apk file.
2. Reboot
3. Install the gravitybox apk, the hit Done. Don't hit Open.
4. Reboot.
5. Open xposed installer, go to modules, tick on gravitybox module
6. reboot
That worked for me, nothing else did up until that point.
Also Gravitybox is sweet, has all the tweaks that I've always used custom ROMs for.

Here's a helpful tutorial for newbies like me:
Work only in Internal Memory
Only if both the apps are installed DIRECTLY (not moved after) in Internal memory... the issue will be resolved. other wise... it will be a problem once in a while...

Thanks. Proper rebooting each step of the install/enablling is the key
Just realised this: worked with GB2.7.6. The solution doesn't work with GB3.0.1 - could not even check the module in xposed
The latest version that does not exhibit this problem is version is 2.9.6 - xposed allows the checking of the module, and after reboot, I am all good!
Final edit: apology - I was on custome rom. under .254, xposed (2.5) and gravity works ( 3.01)! But I can't find the "quicksetting tiles" menu in gravity...(?)

Is your phone rooted?

Xposed on 5.0.1

Has anyone had success installing xposed framework on the m8 running a stock rooted lollipop rom? I have tried multiple times following the guide in the xposed thread here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3034811 with no success.
It worked for me on adrenaline 2.1 but not on a couple of other roms I tried.

I downloaded the files from the link I posted above..
Install the xposed installer .apk
Reboot from within the installer and grant root privileges.
Flash the framework via TWRP
I have also tried to flash the framework first, install the .apk, and reboot from within the installer to grant root.
Neither way has worked for me.

I have it running on stock rooted, here are the steps I took.
Flashed the xposed arm zip file in TWRP
Installed the 3.0 alpha2 apk
Once installed I went into "framework" and hit soft reboot.
Once the phone was done I installed a module/made it active and soft reboot again.
I don't think you have to take these exact same steps but this is just what I did following a YT video. In "framework" it always says "Installation is only possible maunally via recovery for now." in red letters. That confused me into thinking it was not installed properly but all the modules I'm using are working fine.

I have tried to install this exact same way. After flashing the framework and installing the alpha .apk, I activated greenify and rebooted.
Upon launching greenify, I saw a yellow dialogue box that said auto hibernation service has stopped (auto hibernation worked fine before trying to use xposed) I attempted to enable the xposed features and a screen popped up telling me to install the xposed framework.
I have since restored my nand backup I made before flashing xposed, and greenify is back to auto hibernating, just cant use the xposed features.

Have you tried installing other modules? Looking around the greenify sections here on XDA seems it wasn't ready for 5.0, but there is a beta thread that you may want to take a look at.

I just found that beta thread, and I am now trying to install xposed again.
I also tried Xsense, and did not have any luck.
What modules are you using? I will activate them and test.

Currently I'm using
Sense 6 lockscreen mods (LP)
Sense 6 Toolbox beta (to find the beta you have to change your settings, open the module in xposed/scroll all the way right to settings/change to "beta")
YouTube AdAway
YouTube Background Playback

I reinstalled xposed, and updated greenify to beta 11. I also installed Sense 6 Toolbox beta. Everything seems to be working just fine.
My problem was using modules that were not updated to work with lollipop. Thanks for all your help!

There are no problem with this files. you mention that "update Framework via app" thats the problem .. original xposed framework didnt work well with j700f. we need to use wanams custom build. u update the wanam's custom build . install framework via twrp. then install app. dont need to update framework (for me update option disabled )
