Latest Version of 3D Gallery app

Does anyone have the latest version of the 3D Gallery app for Froyo 2.2?
I tried to do a search for "3D Gallery" (with quotes) but it came up empty.

Here is the Gallery 3D from the samsung epic dump im not sure if it will install and if its the latest version

Edit: so I went to install it, but all I had was an uninstall and launch button. I clicked launch and it's the 3D gallery....however, I am not sure how to launch it with using Astro and hitting launch.

It works, people...It takes just a bit longer to load all the photos once it opens. I'm torn between which I like better. The 3D one looks cooler.

The 3D gallery blows because it's so low quality when viewing the images. There's a modified one in the nexus themes and apps forum where someone made an alternative gallery that loads thumbnails at a higher resolution. Sense 2.2 gallery has the best image quality

[APPS] New Android Music Player + Other new stock apps

A test market somehow made its way onto the phone of a writer over Tech From 10 and embedded not-so-deeply in it was the new 3.0 Music player that mimics the version seen on Honeycomb, only it works flawlessly on your smaller smartphone. As you can from the shot above, you now get the “Recent” section with album previews and a scrolling wheel feel, streaming music service that I can’t figure out how to unlock, and a much more finished experience than the previous leak.
Here are a few additional downloads that originated from Tech From 10′s test Android Market. The new camera, gallery and desk clock apps are below for you to download, but for whatever reason, they may not work on most or any phones. In fact, the only app that would not force close for me, was some sort of test cube wallpaper that is also available below. Feel free to install them all though and report back if you have any success on any of your devices. The new music player which definitely works, is back at this post.
*Note – Again, these may not work at all. But if they do, please let us know what phone you are using.

Anybody having FC issues with the new Gallery on the Nexus One also the new Clock and Camera aren't installing. I'm on Gingerbread 2.3.3

Yeah, I just get Force close with the gallery and the music, camera and desk clock won't install at all

Music is failing for me but I had previously installed the honeycomb player.
Install wouldn't work until I removed the previous apk, data and dalvik cache
woot: was able to fix the app by moving it to the system/app dir, droidlife made it sound like it works from data/app
how do you get to the cover flow style view? like in the first picture or was that just stolen from some tablet screen shots?

is there a way to install the new camera, clock or music player without writing over the stock system apps?
well i guess camera/clock aren't even working...
im not rooted.

I installed this on my Hero and they all installed except clock and gallery force closes.

Just checked with the files on the music.apk and it don't have the jumper.so or sync adapter but I also checked the 3d gallery and it had sync adapter so what is google with that

So I stumbled upon this, originally for the Evo (I think), but everything works well!
Its so much better than the ones on ROMs right now and the stock one (a little) ,IMO.
Anyways if you want it, here it is:

Just tried it out. Definitely looks cooler than the HTC gallery app.

Looks alot like the gallery that comes with CM7.0.3

I think its the app that comes by default in android. Found the same in all ROMs when on Captivate. Even on Attrix.

do i just flash it using CWM??
im using coredroid v6.6(inspire 4g) will it work on it? i mean i guess it should cause its on the inspire thread.

No, only do that for .zip files. For this, it is a .apk file which is a "Application" just put it on your sd card(Preferably the root of the sd card,It is easier to find) and then disconnect your device from your pc and then using "Easy Installer" click on it and install. If you use "Easy Installer". If you want to install it using "ASTRO File Manager" just click on the file and hit "Open App Manager" and then the "Install" button in the upper-left part of the screen.

+1. It worked good once I first installed it. As soon as I wrote a video to the sd card, it started fc on me.

Yeh I FC'ed to whenever I connected my files to the pc , but then it works again after...
It doesnt work when your sdcard is connected to the pc I think).

[Q] Camera Problem - Stripes With Colors

I bought this device recently and noticed that when taking pictures with applications i get distorted pictures with stripes. But when using built-in application for taking pictures, everything is normal.
Please take a look at picture below:

Nice curtains!....where did you get them??
Afraid that this doesn't happen to me, what do you mean by "taking pictures with applications?" I only use the camera application.

Smart Measure and Little Photo are applications i used so far and found same problem in both. Something tells me other applications will be no different.

Have the same problem sometimes... like in that program that makes the people fat

Open your camera app, go into settings, and turn off wide screen picture aspect ratio. Exit camera app.
Now when you use other applications does it still do this?

Tried that, tried turning features off, changing ISO etc. but all this did nothing.

Same problem here. Some other camera apps work though.

yep same here! When using the FatBooth App i get the curtains. But when using the standard photo app it's all ok. Also tried a lower resolution and the widescreen off, no difference...

Safe Mode did not help, will wait for HTC's response. Also there was one picture that looked normal when i was browsing gallery, but when i tapped on it to view it in full screen the "curtains effect" appeared. Weird...

Try HAX SYNCH for ICS

Hax sync or any other sync will only sync photos, what I'm talking is about the caller screen, displaying the contact photo in full screen, the awesome screen of note in its full potential

I have already stated i hv used third party apps available in the market, but they dnt work perfect a they r not tailor made for note, also they just show up on top of the system caller id,n hence they are lagy, there was a mod, "popurri full screen"for sg2 n it worked flawlessly, wishing the same charm on my beloved note

I'm wondering if it may be possible to take the apk file utilized by the phone dialer from a pure aosp ROM and use a root explorer to copy that apk into the system app folder and reboot the device to get this dialer on the note. Any experienced dev care to chime in on the possibility of this method working?

that is a totally different app.
Its meant to increase the quality of contact image ( ie to fix something google has screwed up big time and no signs of improving. )
What the OP wants is something like ASOP dialer which shows full screen contact in outgoing and incoming calls.

Big Caller ID picture
I have just flashed this MOD and I must say I'm amazed
The mod was uploaded on XDA by user stgeo but the real wizard behind it is Italian user Juros77 on Androidiani forum.
I was a bit scared to flash this on AlianceROM 2.1 because I thought that it will not fit in such heavy modified theme as the one on Robbies ROM but it works great and it looks great.
Only downside I see right now is the absence of recording button but I believe developer will fix that in the future also.

WARNING: Off course you have to add your high res photos to each user because the user pictures google account offers are very low resolution and they would look grainy on this Dialer.

This is absolutely something must do with my Galaxy Note, if this will not take away the Call Rec Mod.
CallRec is very important to me, so I will wait and see if someone make it happen... large photo and CallRec available
