Snapdragon 810 cores never sleeping? - Xperia Z5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys, I was messing a around a bit with my phone and I realized 4 of the 8 cores of my Snapdragon 810 (the slower A53 cores, 3 of the faster A57 cores sleep normally) NEVER go to sleep... they all stay online, all the time.
Is it how the Snapdragon 810 is designed to work, or shouldn't 3 of these cores normally go offline and sleep when the load is light on the SoC?

Not sure but the Samsung octo-core cpu is even worse, none of the cores stop, they all just do to lowest frequency.
I imagine the 810 would keep the low cores on to ensure quick response, and they should draw a small enough current that if makes little difference. But I've no clue, when I get my Z5 next week I can look though.

[Q]SetCPU setting and CPU temperature

Can anyone share his SetCPU Profile settings.
Sometimes my CPU goes above 40°C(104°F), even 44°C(111°F). I'm not sure which is the recommendet temperature and what is the max temperature I can keep my CPU but I think it's above normal.

Mine is also the same (1GHz at 60 vsel). however i used a different temperature setting. i play very safe. the moment phone temp is above 40 degrees, i leave it at 500 max 250 min.
1000mhz 60vsel with fjfalcon kernal, too?

[Q] Which is better at . . . ?

OK as stated from above , I would like to know which chip on android phones is better at

Is it the s4 chip , Mali chip or tegra 3 chip ?
Tegra 3, see the benchmark results below.

Im not sure about the real difference in battery life but according to the referred site:
The NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor offers four cores and a fifth “battery saver” companion core that can be used for side tasks that do not require quad-core power.

Tegra 3 is the best but I prefer Mali

Note 3 Benchmarks

Thought it would be good to have a benchmark thread for the Note 3
http://blog.gsmarena.com/the-first-benchmarks-scores-of-samsung-galaxy-note-3-are-in/
This post from a couple of weeks back has some benchmarks and as expected the Note 3 is very impressive.
Please post any new benchmarks that you find. Comparisons with the Z1 and iPhone 5s would be interesting as also comparisons between the S800/Exynos versions.

i thought it will be better than S800 specially on the GPU side

^^ Samsung will not try to make much difference between these models. I will assume that they will be pretty close (say +/- 10%).
Good information, I am fed up with my current provider and when moving will get the Note 3. I was so tempted to just get the Note 2 and be done with my current service, I am glad I chose to tough it out for another week.

6 cores online all the time.

Hi,
I upgraded from Moto G 2013 to this beast and I have a little question regarding hot plug on the CPU:
At any time and any given moment there are 6 cores online with the frequency of 442 MHz and rest of 2 of around 650 MHz.
So this is how it works by default or some app is using my CPU?

Yes that's how it works, the last 2 cores are offline until they're needed.

That's strange for me. I think that the last cores are Samsung's M1 cores, right ?
The last 4 cores are m1.

Low Antutu Benchmark Conserns

I don't really care all that much about benchmarks, but when comparing my Antutu Benchmark with what another note 10+ got, my score in places like ROM are a fraction, and this makes me wonder if I should be worried.

More then 2 weeks ago, I did Antutu test of my Note10 and got 373.6K and went over the OnePlus7 Pro to take #1 spot...but since that time, there are probably faster scores
I did reflash the phone and when I was watching Odin it said it formatted it in ext4 not the one that came with the phone, but in disk info it tells me it's f2fs
