USB-C to HDMI? - Nexus 6P Accessories

So I noticed that the google store sells a USB-C to HDMI adapter. Is this only for the Pixel's? Will this work with the USB-C on the 6P?
How about the USB-C adapters that Apple sells? will those work with the 6P?

It will not work on the 6P. USB Type-C ports which use USB 2.0 don't incorporate the needed pins/wires to output DisplayPort/HDMI. The Pixel uses USB 3.1 Type-C ports and using a managed active USB 3.1 Type-C cable should support it.

RE: OnePlus & OTG support?

RE: OnePlus & OTG support?
Hi I am thinking about expanding my OnePlus... but I'm not sure if it it supports OTG USB 3.0. I am thinking of buying this if it works...
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00JKALWH6/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A2QGX098CVHYJ7
Or would a hub be better? Assuming it works.
I have read on other forums that 2.0 works, but I'm not sure if it supports 3.0. Thank you for sharing your thoughts in advance.
thats not a 3.0 otg adapter. its a usb 3.0 hub and usb 2.0 otg adapter hub as the title states. its very obvious as the microusb 3.0 port is about twice as wide as the 2.0 port as you can see if you look at a samsung galaxy s5 which is one of the only phones with a usb 3.0 port.
to answer your question, no, the oneplus doesnt have a usb 3.0 port so it will not work with a usb 3.0 otg adapter. it should work with that adapter as its only a 2.0 adapter. im not sure its worth $20 though...

At last! a Good Car charger

Why is it so difficult to find a good car charger! A lot of them out there don't have enough AMPs to do the job and charge 2 devices at once.
I found one though that works really good, the CHOETECH Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 & USB C Ports in Dual USB Car Charger. I really recommend it as it has a Quick charge port and a mix of USB and USB C Type ports. Very practical to charge 2 devices with different ports at the same time and fast.
So if you need a good car charger that charges fast and fits perfectly in the car slot, then buy this one!

That was one of the ones I considered and ended up getting this one: USB C Quick Charge 3.0 AUKEY Car Charger with Dual AiPower Ports for LG G5, Galaxy S7/S6/Edge, Nexus 6P/5X & Other USB-C Devices | Qualcomm Certified https://www.amazon.com/dp/B018TGGH4E/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_C6hzxbE7CS52Y
With QC3.0 and 2 other adaptive ports, it has plenty of power to go around.
I like Blitzwolf. I order them from Banggood. They are high quality chargers.
For a powerbank I prefer Anker.
Got this recently, works great for QC 3.0.

choetech car charger
I got this one, I dont have any usb-c to usb-c cables yet, and this one has two USB A sockets and supports qualcomm qc3.0 charges up very quick

USB OTG cable..

I have the Nexus 6P. I need to go from USB C to Micro USB. This connects to my guitar amp and there's an app I can adjust settings in the amp.
Can I just get any USB C to Micro USB cable or does it specifically have to mention OTG?
Here's a picture of the port on my amplifier on the right side.

Honestly I really don't know. Ask the question on the Fender forum.
You could always try it with USB-C to Micro-USB. A cable doesn't cost that much.
Looks like it is Mini USB port not MicroUSB port on your guitar amp. If it is MicroUSB port, you need this Meenova Type-C to MicroUSB OTG cable: https://www.amazon.com/-MicroUSB-connecting-Controller-Smartphone-Computers/dp/B01H36MHL8/ref=sr_1_10?m=A3UZZ0M53CX865&s=merchant-items&ie=UTF8&qid=1469537483&sr=1-10
If it is Mini USB port, you should need Type-c to MicroUSB OTG adapter + MicroUSB to Mini USB OTG cable. There is no Type-C to Mini USB OTG cable on the market.
Type-C to MicroUSB OTG adapter: https://www.amazon.com/-MicroUSB-connecting-Controller-Smartphone-Computers/dp/B01H36MHL8/ref=sr_1_10?m=A3UZZ0M53CX865&s=merchant-items&ie=UTF8&qid=1469537483&sr=1-10
MicroUSB to Mini USB OTG cable: https://www.amazon.com/MicroUSB---MiniUSB-connecting-Controller-Smartphone/dp/B01EL8EGQA/ref=sr_1_15?m=A3UZZ0M53CX865&s=merchant-items&ie=UTF8&qid=1469537862&sr=1-15
You're right. Thanks. It is mini.

Choetech USB C to USB A Nylon Braided Cable review

Have you ever just needed some good quality USB Type-A to Type-C cables that are well made and look awesome? How about some cables that will outlast your stock cables. Well with that said I believe I have found those magical cables. Choetech has developed some Type A to Type C nylon braided cables. Yes I said nylon braided. They really feel nice in the hand and look outstanding. They are built with premium grade aluminum, that is coupled with hard plastic. Now I know you might say “Why the hard plastic on the ends?” Well the reason for that is to strengthen the cable to connector end bond. As we all know with allot of cables that the back of the connecting end to the cable is the most commonly failed part of any cable. You know like the ones that Apple sends with their phones that always short out at the ends.
Now this set comes with 3 3.3ft/1m nylon braided cables with Choetech name on both ends. These cables allow for fast USB 3.0 transfer speeds up to 5Gbps. Are compatible with any phone or laptop that uses the latest Type C platform. I currently have them hooked to my Type A and C ports on my desktop, and haven’t had any connection issues over the last few days of testing.
All I have to say is if you want some premium cables to have on your desk or in your gear bag these are the ones you must purchase. These cables surely deserve 5 stars in my book. So when you get a chance gone head over to Amazon and get you a few packs. Currently they are only $12.99. Now that is a good deal compared to some of these so called premium cables I have purchased before. Here is the link https://amzn.com/B01LX8GCZ5 Enjoy

Working OTG cable

Has anyone got any suggestions for a working OTG cable for our F2 .
I have used an old micro usb one with a type c adaptor with mixed results .
My Samsung and Google OTG adapters both work fine.

I have tried, but this phone seems not support OTG
What are y'all trying to use? I've used my otg adapter for Ethernet adapter and a wireless keyboard with no issues.
Sent from my POCO F2 Pro using XDA Labs
I ordered this one from Amazon and it is working fine , I had issues with my F1 but the f2 is better .
https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07Y4WXB7H/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_YnilFbKC7Z8V7
I've bought two types for check:

and two like this:
And I confirm that both of them works well. No problem with usb storage or watching TV via RTL2832U dongle on my POCO F2 Pro with this cables. I'm on Xiaomi.EU rom. The phone for sure supports OTG. The cables are on AliExpress, I'm not posting direct links to not advertise them, but everyone interrested will find them.
try usb 2.0 things?
seems that f2 pro does not support usb 3.0 adaptors
Yes of course I was testing it with USB 2.0 devices - it's no problem to use the USB 3.0 cable with USB 2.0 phones because of the backward compatability and the quality of the cable itself is better on USB 3.0 because of the higher amperage and bitrate.
@Oswald Boelcke
Shouldn't this be moved as well then?
