I just used VTS For Android, a vulnerability scanner and it shows Stagefright CVE-2015-6602 as Vulnerable and supposedly its been in the Oct Patch in AOSP.
Is it not for 5.1.1 as I already have the LMY48M build? Is it only for 6.0 and above (basically only the latest version gets the patch)?

Advice needed - revert to 5.1.1 to get temp root & debloat?
I need some advice. I have always bought unlocked international versions of Samsung products with unlocked bootloaders that could be rooted to remove bloatware.
However, I cracked my screen on Note Edge SM-N915O (and other minor things were going wrong so replacing screen did not seem worthwhile) so bought new old stock ATT version, unlocked from carrier but still bootlocked. I did not realize how much bloatware would be on a carrier branded phone.
I flashed to 5.1.1 latest security update. However, there does not seem to be even a temporary easy root available with the N915AUCS2COI9 baseband (tried Kingoroot - apk & PC version; Kingroot and checked if One-click root was compatible).
So my question is this, is it better to revert to basic 5.1.1 (N915AUCS2COI2) or even back to 4.4.4 where temporary root seems possible and I can use Titanium Backup to freeze or uninstall bloatware, or to live with bloatware and stay with the security updates in Lollipop or even maybe flash Marshmallow? I realize I can disable much of the bloatware but I really want to get rid of it.
Alternately, is there another root that a relative newbie could use to get temporary root in Lollipop latest edition or Marshmallow? If not, what is worse, outdated OS or bloatware?
Thanks for any input

From the Verizon website:
G935VVRU4BQK2
Android® Security Patch Level: 2017-11-01, including Krack security patch
It is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to update, more information on the KRACK wpa2 exploit here.
I have found the schedule for the monthly security patch updates on the Nokia website, and thought it could be useful to share. Apparently, not all builds* get the security patch (SP) / maintenance release (MR) at same timeframe.
Build Number
00WW_2_13B_SP02 - SP Only (Oreo 8.1) - Jun-18 on Wednesday, June 13, 2018
00WW_2_22A_SP01 - SP Only (Oreo 8.1) - Jun-18 on Wednesday, June 13, 2018
00WW_2_22A - MR Update and SP (Oreo 8.1) - May-18 on Wednesday, May 16, 2018
00WW_2_13B_SP01 - SP Only (Oreo 8.1) - May-18 on Saturday, May 19, 2018
00WW_2_13B - MR Update and SP (Oreo 8.1) - Apr-18 on Wednesday, April 11, 2018

It could indeed be usefull, although all these dates have passed already.
Though one can calculate that mostly in the 3rd week of the month a security patch will be released.
From the link that you supplied, a new link to the Security Bulletins are given and those give a more detailed insights in the previous releases and upcoming (july) release.
It seems the July security patch for Oreo is up

Yup ! July Security Update is here!
If someone is brave enough to install July update, please check with Gcam mods & share here
I am still camping on May update with Gcam Mod V3 working fine.
Thanks,
Sony.
Ooo, don't you know? There is a new gcam version which works with both june and july updates...

Title: N7+ not receiving updates post May 2018
User: hotDog
Steps:
Settings > System > System update > Check for update
Android version: 8.1.0
Security patch level: May 2018
No new update is available
I also have a Nokia 8 on exactly the same cellular network in the same country and there I am able to update to July 2018.

N7+ software is getting android P beta so its not required to provide security updates, beta software itself get monthly updates. Security updates will resume once the official android P ll be launched

Thanks for the replies
My phone is also TA-1055
I am still a bit confused, why would the nokia 8 receive security updates for android 8.1.0 and not the N7+?
Imchandu03, not sure if I understand correctly, but are you saying that because android P beta is receiving updates the stable version (android 8.1) will not be updated until android P stable is released?

Right, once the stable version of Android P releases the monthly updates will be resumed.

This one works, but the result of a picture taken is not the same as I had in the view finder. It is as if the second camera (with 2x zoom) is taken and not the first camera with normal lens.
NOkia doesnt offer security update for TA-1062
MIUI 10.2.3.0 seems to be available as OTA.
The log is very limited.
i have notification, it say:

Can anyone help me out?
I am not sure what OC2, OE2, etc I am looking for. I have flashed using Odin before on an S4, but I just got an S6, w/ 7.0 but it has March 2018 patch. I'm looking for a flash that contains the Dec 2016 security patch, OR a way to degrade the current security patch.
Please do not just respond with "search" I have looked around and no one mentions the security patch date.
