Have anyone tried the latest firmware on samfirmware.com for the US N915T...
ANL4 (Brazil)?
I have tried the ANL2 a week or so ago, but I had to flash the Tmobile official modem (ANK3) again, since the default one that came with that, constantly drops connections. After I reflashed the modem, my signal was good again. I also noticed there is a AOA2, but when I tried the same version for my tablet (AOA2 released for my tablet)- but it ruined the bootloader.....so I'm a little hesitant to flash the AOAx versions....
Ideas?
Just wanna pole to see if there are any 'flash-junkies' like me, on the Note Edge?
Hello,
Just bought a topaz blue unlocked S6. I think it came from an Asian country. The phone arrived perfectly with plastic in box with the same IMEI as phone. However it was rooted with SU. I went into the app and clicked to remove root. It was on 5.0.2. They I tried to flash original firmware with Smart Switch with no success.
I used odin to flash stock 5.1.1 firmware from the UK. The firmware was for 920F. It went all good. I have LTE, SMS and phonecalls. However, sometimes the baseband appears as unknown, but I still can make calls and have LTE. And it still shows the same IMEI as it is on the box and it has always shown it. Is there a way to fix this? Now, I try to flash stock firmware with Smart Switch and it says it can't initialize.
I would REALLY appreciate help. I would love to be able to flash stock firmware from Smart Switch.
I'm in México with Telcel, which uses the same bands as AT&T.
P.S. I really searched and couldn't find anything on my specific situation.
That happened to me when I was still on 5.0.2 and flashed only the 5.1.1 modem. I would suggest downloading the modem.tar file and flash that. Should all be good after that.
I'm currently downloading G920FXXU1AOD4 BTU firmware to flash it with Odin. Might that help me better? My main goal is to be 100% stock without any weirdness. And having Smart Switch recognize my phone!
Well, I'm sad.

You cannot downgrade to 5.0.2 from 5.1.1. Your bootloader will not support. I have the issue with 3G connection. Where to get the Modem.tar?
Hi!
A few months back, I installed the leaked version of the Edge lollipop fw leak on my German Note Edge, basically turning the 915FY into a 915F - which didn't trigger Knox and everything worked fine.
Now 5.0.1 is officially out in Germany (and the 5.1.1 OTA hopefully arriving relatively soon), I tried to turn the phone back to its original state. So I downloaded the 5.0.1 fw from sammobile and applied the tar to the PDA part. After a few minutes, the phone rebooted, updated the apps and the model number changed back from 915F to 915FY.
Today, it requested a security guideline update but failed during the update procedure. I had a closer look what might cause the issue. Booting into the download mode, I can see that Knox still says 0x0 (so that's good), booting into the stock recovery and it says 'multi-csc and then csc: SER' on the bottom, with SER standing for Russia.
So despite updating the PDA-part of the phone, I must still have some remains of the older firmware on it. I can remember that when I first installed the leaker version, I had several update files for the various parts of the phone, not just the PDA part.
So basically, what else do I need to install via ODIN to also turn the CSC back to Germany so the security guidelines can be updated and German OTA becomes available again?
Thanks in advance
Alex
Hi all,
I'm actually using Arter's Back-to-Note with Arter kernel.
The device is an Italian WIND branded one over I flashed first the ITV firmware to get rid of bloatware, then the H3G one for better compatibility with my carrier network and in the end some custom roms.
Now, I'd like to update to Marshmallow but I don't know which version to flash through Odin.
At the moment, I'm thinking about the Italian Vodafone one, the French unbranded one or the Cyprus one.
The main doubts are:
- If I need a particular PIT file to flash these firmware;
-Which is the best firmware to flash?;
-Is possible to downgrade to Lollipop then?
Hi, i'm Italian also, and i have your same phone branded Wind.
- i don't think you need a particular PIT file, because if it was necessarily, Odin had to ask for it when you passed from the branded rom to the ITV one. (i did the same, without the PIT file, and everything went fine).
- if you flash the french one, the SpO2 measuration in SHealth will doesn't work, if you don't use it, you can flash this one or the Vodafone one (i chose these ones because are the most nearly cities)
- i had read that you can downgrade, but i am not sure, i haven't tried it yet. i'm updating to Marshmallow, only because i've tried all but my signal doesn't work, i don't really like the Marshmallow TouchWiz, if the signal it's not gonna start working, i will downgrade
I flashed in my galaxy s7 G930F
Alexndr.G930FXXUS3ERI1
Then tried to install another build of this rom
My sim card won't work like it's not even inserted
G930FXXU2ERGE that's the other build i tried to install
And tried an s8 rom can't remember its name and same issue
Even when i tried to flash the stock AUT & UK builds with odin and it fails and gives my system rev. check fail device:1, binary:0
Or system rev. check fail device:1, binary:2
Unless it's the build as the one i mentioned G930FXXUS3ERI1
My phone is exynos and suppose to flash any rom with problems before
Can anyone plz tell me what's is going on
G930FXXUS3ERI1 is higher version of G930FXXS3ERHD and samsung is locked the bootloader in G930FXXS3ERHD Version. So you cant downgrade from G930FXXUS3ERI1 and G930FXXS3ERHD to G930FXXU2ERGE. This problem is happen with me and my phone is under warranty (Knox 0x000) and service center will change the motherboard. you have no option to downgrade. Phone will accept only G930FXXUS3ERI1 version, so wait for next official update version of your country. When a similar or higher version come in your country you can able to flash.
I post on xda and i found one solution for root user. See here
Sorry for bad English.
My phone originally from Switzerland so it's AUT firmwares
And i always tried many custom roms with other countries and it worked just fine
I was on G930FXXU2ERGE
After trying this build G930FXXUS3ERI1 it got stuck on it
So u telling me that build is stuck on the motherboard
And i can't downgrade to nougat roms or other oreo builds but the one I'm on?! ?

Once you flash a ROM with a "3" bootloader, you can no longer revert to one with a "2" (or lower). Since you flashed 3ERI1, you can't revert to 2ERGE. Since the "3" bootloader was just released, there really isn't much to roll back to (there is currently a choice between 3ERI1 and 3ERH*).
Having said that, the Alexndr ROM is quite nice and virtually stock (I use it). And with the 3ERI1 build, Samsung appears to have overcome the very annoying random reboot problem that has plagued its recent ROMs.
Yes i been using it too
And that's my current rom nw also same build as yours
But idk why the complication with the bootloader thing with the firmwares
They should have left it like it was
With no restrictions
