I would like to have a working S4 or S5 accuweather. My Note 10.1 has the KK Testrom (N8000XXUDND5) and would like to have a newer Accuweather.

I know accuweather widget only works with touchwiz. I am using the leaked 4.4.2 Samsung ROM with Touchwiz.
There are two ways to do that :
1) Port the widget for the old launcher (maybe very difficult)
2) Port the launcher of the new galaxy note 2014 (maybe easier)
I've the accuweather widget of s5...take the 2 apks in the thread of mr.bola "s5 ported apps" in the note 2 forum and install them as normal apk..

Here try these its a bit modded (see the weather icon its in the middle). Make sure to delete or rename(or back up) the AccuweatherTablet2014_WXGA_mdpi.apk & WeatherDaemon2014.apk from system/app. Then reboot(important one or you'll get FC's).After reboot intall the 2 files manually to system/app and fix permission rw-r-r, then reboot. I've tested them on mine and working .Let me know if it works on your's.

Did you first delete the stock weather then full reboot? then after reboot add the 2 files I gave you right after adding to system reboot again is that how you did it? And you are on the stock launcher right?

That's weird. Is your note a N8000( nothing relevant just asking)? Can you please delete all the weather apk's then reboot. after reboot install the weatherdaemon2014 as local apk then reboot again after that add the AccuweatherPhone2014.apk to system and fix permission and reboot. then report whats the result?

This problem is more related with root detection by apps, but since I have a oneplus one, I have posted here.
Super ecran is an app of the french superchannel movies, here in canda (quebec) and I try to run it on my oneplus one (stock+rooted) it says that it detect that the phone has been ''changed'' and does not allow me to go further and watch movies.
1) is it a rooted problem ?
2) is it a cm detection problem ? No, I tried on nexus 5 stock+rooted, same problem...
3) is there a way to make it work (turnaround) ? I saw on google play the app ''hide root'' but the link seems to be broken and I didn't get it.
If someone have clue about this, please let me now. Thank you.
the app is exactly named ''Super Écran GO''.

It's a similar situation over here in the UK with Sky Go. It detects the rooted nature of the phone (even with root disabled) and won't run. It doesn't look like it'll get sorted any time soon either

Hi Guys,
ColorOS camera is a really good camera app coming from oppo find7 device. It include a lot of features using plugins.
Actually a port for 1+1 device exists, you can install this port but you'll get really low resolution pictures.
So I took this port and modified it with the help of the original dev @BOOTMGR (a huge thanks!) to fit Xiaomi Mi4 camera resolution (13.1MPx instead of 13MPx).
As Camera apps with custom roms gives bad quality this app may be good for us.
Working features :
-Video (480p, 720p, 720p slow motion, 1080p, 4K)
-Some plugins (Double exposure, Expert mode with manual controls, GIF camera, Colorful night, Super macro)
-Front Camera
-Incredible fast burst mode up to 50 pictures (keep shutter button pressed)
Not working features
-4K DCI Video
-Some plugins (50MPx shots, Panorama, Beautify, Slow shutter, RAW Capture, HDR, refocus mode)
-Tracking focus
How to install? :
Install OppoCamera2.0.apk as normal apk
Install plugins as normal apk (I'll provide only working plugins, and some that I'm unsure)
Inside camera app if plugins are not present clic on + and add them

Will have a look to plugins but it seems to be more tricky than the app.
I couldn't find anyone to test it on Mi3,and I don't know if Mi3 picture resolution is exactly the same as Mi4.
And Mi3 can't perform 32s exposure as it's not the same sensor.
Definitely need a tester for Mi3
Edit : at least I need to make an other app edition for Mi3 as front camera sensor resolution is not the same. If someone with Mi3 install this version and turn on front sensor the app will freeze (I faced it with initial port for 1+1).
And if back sensor is not exactly the same resolution (4208x3120) output picture size will be something like 170x144).

But for MIUI I won't recomand this app actually. I posted a stock tweaked miui camera app on en.miui.com forum that enable some advanced functions.

I am using ivan's lollipop aosp ROM on my Mi4 and i tried this coloros camera, and it doesnt work, it has gray view finder, and shutter button doesnt capture

Hey Richard63 thank you so much for the twewaked miui camera you posted on en,miui.com.It was awesome....I could take pics of stars!!!
just a request...Can you add a mode into mannual mode which could allow us to take particular no. of shots with the mannual settings and having 5-10 secs of intershot time.
Its needed for obtaining Star trail images......

It's not normal at all! There's a known issue with Samsung s6 and s6 edge in that point, so you'll have to use package disabler for to overcome this issue. Are you running a rooted device?

Not rooted , The day before, I confirmed intel terms of some phone settings, but I do not remember exactly where.

Clear app data and cache for smart manager. Reboot and open it. Never click clean all or security. It will keep the security manager turned off. When using smart manager, be careful not to use these two functions and it should be fine.

If you were rooted, I'd recommend using Titanium Backup or an app system uninstaller et then uninstall and reinstall smart manager as a regular apk! For now, you need to dirty flash a stock rom via Odin if you want to get ride with your issue.

On my so old galaxy s8, when someone called me, the phone identified it, told me if it was a spam or not. When I called a shop or a restaurant, its name and picture was shown on the screen
It's called "smart call" .

You need google framework to see and install google dialer from play store

Sorry, I already gave feedback to a hint I´ve got, but unfortunately in the wrong thead.
What I did was installing the google dialer module for OP 5/OP6 via magisk. The only thing is that my play store is uncertified. But after clearing data and cashe at least the update worked and also google dialer works flawlessly.
What would the google framework from magisk change? Don´t know if I need it anymore, but I will give it a try and look what´s going to happen ... Thanks anyway!!

I've given all the permissions it needs, but, as the patched version creator said : everything works except call identification [emoji6][emoji6][emoji6]
So, we are back to the starting point : is there a way to have this future?
Is sync me or true caller a good solution?

You didn´t provide the link, so I´m not sure if it´s usefull. In the thread I´ve found there is said that the call identification doesn´t work (as a bug).

Not even with Samsung. For SmartCall, Samsung teamed up with Hiya. I don't see why sharing your information with Hiya is good but sharing with True Caller or SyncMe is bad.

True Caller works but what you eliminate in robocalls you will gain in some pretty intrusive ads and aggressive attempts to get you to sign up for their monthly service.
