Disable Screen Swipe Effect - LG G Flex 2

Has anyone figured out how to disable / freeze the Screen Swipe Effect? I prefer using the pattern lock, but the screen swipe effect still comes on when my phone is paired to trusted device.
You can change the effect used and shortcuts displayed using options in General > Security > Lock Screen settings, but I can't find any way to disable the actual effect.

Do you need root?
Or you could go into Settings > Location and Security > Configure lock screen

Just tried it out and it seems i can only add Appz and not actual widgets ? Try this .....
Settings >
Security >
Screen lock >
Swipe >
Lock screen options >
Shortcuts >
Then select your Appz by clicking on the icons and add what you want from your list.
Hope that helps

[Q] Home button lock?

I'm hoping I'm not going crazy here, but I thought I recalled at one point that my Infinity had a feature that would allow me to slide a little lock icon at the bottom of the screen when in a fullscreen app that would "lock" the home/back/switcher buttons to prevent them from being accidentally pressed.
Anyone know where I can find this functionality or what it was called?
Thanks!

[GUIDE] How to Enable Screen Pinning on 5.0 OC4.

As some of you may know, the new OC4 build came out for the Verizon Galaxy S5 recently, with no reported changes. Today while browsing through the settings I noticed screen pinning was available! To enable it...
1. Go to settings, security, and scroll to advanced at the bottom.
2. Select "Pin Windows" and enable it.
Now in the recent apps view on the bottom right of each application you will see an icon to pin the screen. You can, when pinning with a secure lock screen, choose to require your password to unlock. To unpin just hold down on the recents button.

Deactivate SMS message preview on the "Swipe to Unlock Screen"

I have my screen set to automatically lock at 5 minutes. This is the same time interval as my screen timeout.
If the screen is on and I press the power button to turn the screen off and then on again, this is the "Swipe to Unlock Screen". I have not been able to find a way to turn off txt message preview on this screen. This functionality was in Lollipop on the ATT Galaxy S5 and I cant believe that it did not make the S6.
Additionally, I cannot find a way to turn off txt message preview on the ticker bar on the top of the screen.
Security on this phone is a nightmare for dating.

Click to collapse
This setting has no effect/does not work. Give it a try and see if it works for you, I bet it does not.
The only thing functional is setting it to 'hide all notifications on the lock screen'.
