[Please Help] Trying to boot my Phicomm Passion 660 - General Questions and Answers

Hello Everyone,
I am just a n00b in here . Today I rooted my Phicomm Passion 660 with Kingroot 4.5 just to close all the unwanted start-up apps ( I know nthing except that about rooting ) . Then I found an OTA update from my phone's maker Phicomm and installed it , but the problem started after that . The phone doesn't turn on from then . It shows recovery screen with REBOOT , WIPE DATA/FACTORY RESET , WIPE CACHE , UPDATE FROM SDCARD , APPLY UPDATES FROM ADB options.
I did all the first three options( tried rebooting several times , wiped data and wiped cache ) to get my phone up and runnin' , but it simply won't . :crying:
What have i done to my Phicomm Passion 660 ? Is there any suggestion from you ?
Or simply I have to throw it off ? ( becoz I did not install TWRP or CWM or any other hyper-stuff in that phone and i simply don't know what they do ? )
Note- After several hours of browsing , i am quite sure that i haven't bricked my phone . bcoz it starts to recovery mode and showing being charged . But , there is no Phicomm Passion 660 specific stuff on internet.

If some of you suggest me that i have ereased the stock OS that the phone came with , then i wish to install AOKP or CyanMod ( I learnt these 2 names on internet ) , i am desperate to get my phone up and running again .
Please Help .....

download the latest update firmware from phicomm website [ the url : http://na.phicomm.info/release/P660LIN/TF_update.zip ] .
try to follow these steps , http://www.phicommasia.com/upgrade-procedures.html
let us know ,if it works , All the best

Sorry for being late .
Just go to Phicomm India's Official site , grab the latest update file according to your device .
Keep the zip file in memory card , put it back in .
Reboot to recovery , flash it .
Enjoy.

[Q] [q] problem flashing wildfire

Hi,
iam having a serious problem over here, was using cyanogen mod 7 on my wildfire perfectly , then i decided to upgrade it or maybe go back to stock rom , so i downloaded a new version of cyanogen mod , and copied it on root folder of sd card ...without taking backup of my existing rom , i wiped userdata+cache using recovery method.. but when iam installing zip from sd , it says installing updates but it takes hell lot of time , and yet no results ... plus it also do not shows any progress on the progress bar ...i have tried it a couple of times, also i have tried to install the older version i used to have , plus couple of other versions..still nothing, still same results... and now iam left with nothing else to do... as all i have is the recovery and no operating system...please tell me what to do asap....
,
my wildfire is S-OFF, and having clockworkmod recovery 3.0.0.6, HBOOT-6.01.1002
Since you can go to recovery and downloading mode your device is not bricked. Hmm you can flash the stock rom for htc wildfire using odin while you set your phone on downloading.
Sent from my GT-S5670 using xda premium

I don't know anything about HTC but all i could find about it was this thread i hope it'll help you. I read it and i guess it's the only way to get back to your stock ruu/rom .
Just follow the procedure.

[Q] K-Touch Hornet II V9

Hello dear XDA-developers,
I am thinking of buying a new phone, so i came across this phone called the "K-Touch Hornet II V9", it is a Chinees phone. and I couldn't find it on xda-developers.com.
So I was wondering if it is possible to have a Custom Rom installed on it.
Maybe to create my own Custom Rom with this toolbox:http://www.xda-developers.com/andro...stallation-with-android-ultimate-toolbox-pro/
I have a technical background so I guess this should be manageable for me to understand.
Anyways hope to get some reactions on this topic.
Cheers, and many thnxs in advanced,
DesireDroid
Ps.: I currently have a HTC Desire (classic) and rooted that one. and installed some custom roms on it. like the Leedroid custom rom:
Hello,
I am interesting in your request because i have the same device.
Could you tell me if you found anything about an alternative ROM for the "K-Touch Hornet II V9" ?
Regards
ROM found
I've found a ROM (Cyanogen 10.1) at the following web site (i can't post a link due to my too young status) : needrom (add www end dot com )

Hi, las nigth I rooted the Phone whis this tool www . srsroot.com
I have selected the First Root method.
and the program tried to root the phone whith several different tools, and in the process make the phone reboot several times...
In the final steps i was very nervous becouse the phone was rebooting in a loop like half and hour... The Root program in my PC were telling me to wait 1 minute after the phone boot and press ok in the win window after that.
1 time the phone stop looping the boot, so then i tried to unlock the screen to check... but once i didt it, the phone starts to reboot in a loop again.
So, the next time i saw the phone boot ok, i didnt unlock the screnn. I just wait ti finish the boot and press the ok button in my PC.
An then the root program tells me that the root its OK!! The program finished intalling the Superuser.apk... And thats all...
I download Root Checker.apk and verify the succes root after agree to the Superuser App to allow root privileges to the aplication...
I rebooted again the phone and I checked that the root in permanet..
So, by now is how far a can go...
Now I need to intall the CMW 6.0.1.1 to finally Flash a ROM in Spanish and after that intall Gapps from Google...
The same program that root the phone, can make it reboot in recovery mode whit CWM 6.0.1 but in chinese, anyway helping me whit another phone whit the same recovery in English i can go on whit the program and made a Backup of the rooted phone... but i think i am not safe this way flashing a new rom becouse if something go wrong i cannot boot again this mode if i dont boot the phone first in the normal way...

Rooting doesn't require an unlocked bootloader. You can still root your phone while your bootloader is locked.
I am attaching a zip archive here. It works if you are on Jellybean 4.2.2. Go to settings>about phone to check which firmware you are on.
Just connect your phone via usb wuth usb debugging turned on. Then Extract the file and run runme_win.bat. Your phone will restart abd device will be rooted..
P.S. I am not the creator of this zip. All the credit goes to the developer. You will find the full thread at

1. You need to unlock your bootloader in order to install a custom rom. Since CM11 is kitkat based, you need to unlock your bootloader first and then flash the rom.
2. Depends on what features you want in rom. There are many roms posted and all of them are mostly bugless. Plus there's no such bug known to me that BRICKS the device. Otherwise the developer wouldn't have uploaded it.
3. You can simply flash the stock FTF and your problem will be solved.

How to fix infinite bootloop problem in Sparkle V. Please help.

Hi all,
I have a sparkle v which is unrooted and also I don't have any software like cwm.
My phone is stuck in an infinite bootloop. I tried removing the battery, going to recovery mode and factory resetting it and clearing cache.
None of those worked. Please help.
Please explain it briefly.. when it occurs..?? i.e after any update u done
My phone started becoming laggy and not very responsive after I received a 18 mb update which when I tried to install always bought an error during restart - a dead bot icon was shown.
I searched online and many people faced the same. So essentially I wasn't able to install that update and it showed in the taskbar to install the same. However one day that notification disappeared. Maybe it was a problem with low internal memory.
This infinite boot problem occurred after that.

Could you please tell me where I can find how to flash my rom to stock Lollipop or K?
I was able to find this one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W9Co-2QBRZU
He uses SP flash tool and does it for a micromax A1. Will it work for Sparkle V too?
1. What drivers do I need and will the one he used for micromax work for me too?
2. Can my phone get 'hard bricked' during this process?
Thanks
use this to get rom link http://forum.xda-developers.com/sparkle-v/general/stock-firmware-t2889509
for adb driver use this http://forum.xda-developers.com/cro...l/tutorial-unlock-bootloader-install-t2895763
sp flash tool will work for sparkle v too
for instructions http://androidxda.com/flash-stock-rom-using-smart-phone-flash-tool
I understand what stock rom and sp tool mean (or do), but what is this custom recovery for? Is it required to flash my rom with the stock one?
1) Also once again Can my phone get 'hard bricked' during this process?
If you would like you could have a look at the YT tutorial for a few minutes and let me know if it is safe to try that out? He doesn't mention any ADB drivers.
2) Is ADB driver universal for all phones?
3) Is there anything else to install? In the thread you linked it said install as usual for Mediatek devices. I'm assuming sparkle v is also one of them

i think you r new to flashing..
stock rom or stock os (kk or lollli or m) is the one came with or distributed by the ur phone brand ie.. here google... it helps you to get back to your phone to original state if ur software is corrupted that is laggy or force close restarting ... if u use ur stock rom it doesnt void ur warranty...
custom recovery means user defined one to install custom rom on ur mobile(user created one for ur mobile) it helps ur to backup ur mobile rom or datas etc..
dont fear while flash the mobile follow the instruction as instructed if not possiblity to get ur phone soft or hard bricked do it at ur own risk..
in ur referred video link he gave the links below the video for driver , flash tool , rom... he said about driver installation on starting the video
sparkle v also the same mediatek for more info download cpu-z app from store or google ..
download both stock kitkat and lollipop rom for ur sparkle v which is present in sparkle v cross development search there or use my above links ....slowly read the steps in the links and flash ur mobile...
Hi,
Thanks, I will try the steps and really looking forward to it working.
