Phone turned off, power button not working, fastboot not working - Xperia Z3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi!
My power button is broken, and my phone is turned off.
It currently has 100% percent battery.
I tried turning it on using adb - but when my phone is connected adb doesnt recognize it, and in the device manager it shows as "Sony MASS Storage Device".
I also tried using fastboot but when I enter my phone into fastboot both adb and fastboot won't recognize it, and it shows up as "S1boot Fastboot", and says it doesn't have the proper drivers. I tried installing the drivers from the Sony website at this stage but they won't install.
I did install the drivers when the phone was connected normally.
What should I do?
Thanks!

I don't exactly know about the problem but you may want to try flashtool's driver. http://www.flashtool.net/downloads.php
Download and install flashtool.
then go to C:\Flashtool\drivers\Flashtool-drivers.exe and install "Z3 Device Driver".

There is no specific driver. Do you have usb debugging enabled?
I had to uninstall and reinstall drivers. Mine did the same thing.
Sent from my Nexus 5 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app

I have been having the exact same issue. Ive noticed that when I am in recovery and adb doesnt recognize the device, it seems like it is actually windows that doesnt recognize because i go into Device Manager and see Nexus 5 with an exclamation, and if I try to install the drivers for it, it says it cannot find the proper drivers in the same folder that i originally installed the drivers from!
I am very confused and this is pissing me off, because I should have the damn OTA already and I dont!!!!

i am not rooted and do not have a custom recovery either. bur i had the same problem when i tried to side load update 4.4.1.
the problem for me was that the google usb driver that i installed did not have proper adb support for nexus 5. this is what worked for me. universal naked driver v. .73
downloaded and unzipped in a folder in desktop.
booted into recovery on the phone
windows chimed new hardware found, device manager showed nexus5 with an exclamation mark.
right clicked to update device software, pointed to unzipped folder, done.
this way after geting out of CMD phone is still recognized as MTP, so i can transfer files back and forth.

[Q] Disabling MTP Mode and enabling USB Debugging while Phone is Off

Dear Experts,
I Unlocked the Bootloader of My Xperia L using the official Sony way. But after the successful unlocking the Phone is not booting at all. It gets stuck at the Xperia colour theme loading... I gone through various posts and found a solution that I have to Flash my phone using flashtools.
Now I instaled flashtools as well as the required drivers. However when I do the flashing in flash mode, the device disconnects automatically and flashtools says that "make sure you are not in MTP mode". I remember that My phone was in MTP mode when i was unlocking the bootloader and the USB debugging was always on... Now after unlocking bootloader the USB Debugging is showing as off (can be seen in the attached file)
After reading couple more posts about MTP ... I understand that I can't successfully flash unless the phone is out of MTP mode, and USB debugging is on. As my mobile is not booting, I can not go to the settings and tick or untick any of the two.
Please help me with a way to do it. I am attaching a screen print of the flashtools for Ref....
It will be a great relief to me....
Thanks in Advance...

how to connect in flashmode without using the buttons?im stock in sony logo and i need to turn on usb debugging to use flashtool
1, the adb drivers aren't installed correctly in your pc
2, don't worry about usb debugging
Just connect the phone to the computer in flash mode by pressing vol down and then plug-in the usb cable to your phone.
Flash tool will recognise it automatically if the drivers are installed correctly
3, then reinstall the stock ROM with flash tool
That's it
You said your device is being disconnected while flashing so
When you start flashing from flash tool start the flashing process
(Without connecting the phone to pc)
After the FTF is extracted flash tool will ask to connect the device
Then just connect your device in flash mode

Hello,
Do you know how to install fastboot or flash mode drivers in Windows 10? Also, the flashtool for me is stuck on "please wait until the end of process", how to make it work?
Note: My device gets recognized in ADB when booted up, but does not when in fastboot or flashmode. (Plugging in cable while pressing vol. down)

the drivers will be on the flash tool folder just open the app then tick drivers for Xperia L (thoshan) and general fast boot drivers.
and use the latest flash tool if you can ( Now I am using a Mac so I have a flash tool which was made for apple. but I used to flash my phone using windows and this is the version of the flash tool "flashtool-0.9.18.5" and this worked fine for me ).
if anything else is needed just reply

Device stuck in Bootloop | Can Access Fastboot | Commands don't work

My Oneplus One - 64GB was running LiquidSmooth's Alpha ROM.
I hadn't used the phone in like a month. A couple of days ago i thought there'd be an updated version so i just downloaded a later version. I think I flashed the 01-22 Build.
I did not do a full wipe however. (I realize now that It would have been a good idea to do a full wipe before the flash. :s )
I assumed that since the base of the ROM was the same lollipop, all I had to do was wipe cache/dalvik and flash the update.
Installation proceeded as usual and I wiped cache/dalvik(I'm never sure when to do this so i do it before and after install) once more and then Reboot System.
But the phone went on a bootloop for like 10minutes or so.
I tried to get into Recovery but it just wouldn't. It would just show the 1+ Logo and Powered by android screen and then turn off..
I did however manage to get into the fastboot mode by pressing power +vol up.
Now the problem is, the device doesn't show up in the command prompt when i type
Code:
fastboot devices
I uninstalled all the usb drivers from my pc.
Installed the Universal ADB drivers from kouch's site but still no progress..
Device manager still shows the phone as an unknown device.
What am I doing wrong? What can i do to get the phone to be recognized so I can flash the recovery and flash a new ROM?
It's related of firmware change. After 01.17.2015 you must flash the latest CM12 rom and then flash the rom you want.
That's a known "issue". Hope it helps.
Problem is:
1. I no longer have a working recovery(can't boot into recovery).
2. Rom doesn't boot, stuck in a bootloop.
3. Can get into fastboot mode, but pc doesn't recognize device and it doesn't show up when i type "fastboot devices".
I've already installed "Universal ADB Drivers from here -> http://www.koushikdutta.com/post/universal-adb-driver
What can i do to be able to access phone via fastboot?
Should i remove these drivers and try another driver? If so, which other driver should i install and test with?
I don't have any critical data on the phone, I just want to get it working again so my family members can decide who wants the phone.

[Q] Stuck in boot loop, can't detect in ADB or fastboot

Hey guys, I really need some help here, I'm not good at any of this stuff - my OPO just randomly got stuck on a boot loop, I have never played with the USB debugging or any of that or tried to flash anything else, I was using just stock cyanogen.
I've been reading around and I've downloaded all the drivers but still can't detect the device when I do the Shift + Right Click --> Run CMD "fastboot devices" or "adb devices".
I never enabled options such as the USB debugging or anything else, can someone please help me out? I'm really clueless to all of this stuff.
You must first put your phone in fastboot mode.
To put your phone in fastboot mode, turn it off, and then hold power+volume down until you get a screen with only the cyanogenmod logo. If you get to this screen, you're in fastboot mode. If you have installed the proper drivers in your computer, you should be able to connect to the phone from your computer. Connect your usb cable to the phone and the computer, open a dos box and type "fastboot devices". If you get a series of letters and numbers then you're OK.

This, except that's the wrong button combo (power + volume down is for recovery). Use power + volume up to get to fastboot mode and then try the "fastboot devices" command.

There's no point in using adb commands in fastboot because only fastboot commands work. What drivers do you have installed?

I tried that, but again no response in CMD when I type fastboot devices.
Although I just tried and am able to boot into recovery mode, would I be able to do some sort of factory reset there? I've already tried to wipe user data but I'm still getting a bootloop there.

Just downloading the adb drivers from google's own site made it work on another PC. I think my problem is that Windows has installed the wrong drivers for me. When i plug a device in for the first time, it says something like "setting up your device". I think during that point it installed wrong drivers on my own PC. On my brothers PC everything works like it's supposed to. Any idea how to get Windows to install the drivers again?

Problem persist when you try to install Drivers without valid signature in Windows 10.. Try to DIsable Driver Signature Enforcement..
Link to do it https://windowsreport.com/driver-signature-enforcement-windows-10/
Then try to install Drivers from this link :- https://drive.google.com/file/d/1L7EZGx5mgeQYXO19Vsp9FWu9GXhF45Qs/view
Let me know if that helps..
I have quit the same problem expected that i already have my bootloader unlock and usb debugging turn on...
im trying to flash twrp image, after failed yesterday to apply pixen os11. I had access to fasboot mode and to flash zip etc and my drivers was instaled but now my laptop didn't reconize my phone when plug in in fastboot and is on other devices in my devices manager. I tried to install updates manualy but nothing happened.
i dont know if it is related but i did update windows between my secon attempt to flash pixen os. Maybe the drivers were update in the same occasions ? Because a i have no others problems when my phone is boot normally and can acess to internal storage from my computer.
