The answer can easily be which found just by searching any Samsung forum here at XDA.

Doing this is obviously highly illegal as you are purposely destroying your product to fraudulently claim on your warranty. If you read around enough you will find out how to do it. I'm afraid I won't tell you how to do so.
edit: also this should have been posted here. But I'd expect this thread to be closed as it is technically breaking the rules.
Mod Edit
Seriously?
This site is called XDA DEVELOPERS
Do you really think that asking how to destroy something is part of that?

Had this phone for over a year, and after various random crashes decided to try replacing the stock rom (updated) too a custom rom so it don't have all the junk samsung hardwired to the device.
What I found was knox and the bootloader are LOCKED.
Knox keep track of any warranty hack attempts for example if you go into recovery mode ya see on screen in white in small print Knox warranty = 0x0. if u hacked phone unsuccessfully it will read 0x1. so if u took phone back to samsung they would refuse to fix it.
So I tried towelroot and kingroot and both failed after various searches on net found out the bootloader is locked and you cannot install a custom rom with this locked or root the device.
My question, has any of you lot found a way around this without disturbing the knox warranty value. Or how to bypass the bootloader ???
hi,
the question is easy, can I reset my flash counter to 0? (on my s7 of course!)
Sorry if I'm in wrong section.
Thanks.
No not possible. Rooting triggers Knox counter to 0x1 which also voids warranty and there is no way of removing it.
When i go to download mode, I saw "Warranty Void : 1 (0x302)" or something like that (sorry, but I don't hold the phone right now) is this mean the Knox has tripped? i have tried searching on XDA, mostly just said 0x1 mean the Knox tripped, but i saw said 0x500 also mean the Knox tripped, it is just "Warranty Void: 1" need you to look when you want to know if the Knox tripped or the code (0x1, 0x302, 0x500) or the whole line "Warranty Void: 1 (0x302)".
The phone condition is on bootloop, since the owner said he never did something that should tripped the Knox, i little bit confuse. The System status also said Custom. I want to help fix his phone.
Thanks
If system status said Custom and it also says Warranty Void: 1, then yes, KNOX is tripped
Someone rooted / custom recovery'd it
lots of samsung users are looking forward that issue can figure out...
Samsung strongly attacks to who modifies samsung phones...

thanks for the info, i want to help him fix the phone, i've tried to flashed with some version of firmware but doesn't work, still bootloop, since the Knox already triggered then i'll try using custom recovery or ROM, can you show me some reference thread, since i can't enable OEM unlock and the owner said never do anything regarding system change, i have read some but enable OEM unlock is necessary for any customization.
I have tried to change the firmware. and now i have the knox number 0x1. my note 20 is not rooted and i want to restore the knox number.
any one can give me a solution pls.
thnx
if it was ever rooted then there is no way to reset Knox so that it all works as before the root. There is firmware where the Knox status can be masked but it is purely cosmetic
Correct me if I'm wrong but for now when it's flagged as 0x1 it will never go back to 0x0.
You can trick it saying 0x0 probably but knock chip has a safety thing that breaks once rooted or bootloader unlocked. So knox is permantly disabled after
Only true way to reset Knox to 0x0 is motherboard.
