I cannot figure out how to change the System Time on my 702L. I added a time/weather widget and when I set it to find my location it displays the correct time. But the System Time is exactly 5 hours ahead of my correct time. I just posted this same question but in the wrong place! Sorry! Any help... Greatly appreciated!

I GOT IT! It was just fiddling with the Time Zone and THEN putting the System Automatic ON.

Every screenshot app seems to work correctly. When I go into the gallery I see LG boot logo with the blue progress bar under it as the screenshot. Every app does this! Tried shootme,drocap2, couple more. Has anyone experienced this?
Edit: interesting maybe I should read the manual. Still kinda weird that those apps don't work.

I believe someone mentioned power + home takes screenshots. Apparently it is in the manual that no one reads.

A problem gsiff daemon, which was solved by simple reboot, lead me to developer options/cpu usage, screen where I found the gyroscope doing this (attached images). is it normal. my battery is getting killed.
Edit : my wife is up now so I can checked her phone. gyro seems to me doing the same thing. she said her bat is not great either
My nexus 7 has those numbers on top but barely even change colors
Edit: the process, even though it's listed as a cpu process, doesn't show up on the battery monitor widget.

I'm having the exact same issue all of a sudden. I'm new to the phone (android phones actually), did you figure out the issue?
same problem on my sprint galaxy s 3
Same here I am on ATT. Using system panel I was able to pick it out. It appears it turned it's self on when I plugged it in and continued to run for quite some time.
Here in my input to the problem
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Tapatalk 2
First thing I did was stop the process. Then I used a root explorer (I use Solid Explorer, I highly recommend it) and got down into it until I found gsiff_daemon. I can't remember where, exactly it was located, and since I'm on CM10 now, the problem is taken care of anyway, but I digress. Once I found it, and had previously stopped it, I just deleted it. That was that. It never popped up again, and my battery life improved drastically.
IN RELATION TO GSIFF_DAEMON
do any of you guys have the "increase volume in pocket" setting on in phone-->settings?
also do any of you have motion settings enabled and/or autorotation on?
Seems it has to do with the gyro issue
also are you guys rooted or non-rooted?
Crapppp
Jellybean didn’t solve it. Gsiff_daemon just popped up for me. Just renamed it AGAIN.
Hopefully it won't pop up again

Hey everyone, just had a quick question. A lot of times when I turn my screen on bbs says it's running at the bottom of my lock screen. Doesn't happen every time though.

What exactly is the question?
I underdig. If you're using supersu go to settings and uncheck 'show notifications.' I think you can set individual program toast notifications but whatev.. You figure it out. Lol
my tapatalk signature sucks more than yours.
Yeah I was talking about the notifications. Thanks bro

I have been getting random reboots very frequently when not using the phone. I don't think it's ROM related (liquid smooth) and I have tried multiple kernels, but I got a logcat to see if anybody here can give advise. Greatly appreciated!
Logcat - http://txtup.co/TMLUp
Tried factory rests, clean installs, fixing permissions, cleaning cache. I'm stumped. Thanks again!

Any apps hanging up causing the cpu to run at 99% or anything? Anything goofy like that? I know these are simple questions but just trying to get some more info to help.
I really appreciate you taking the time to respond. This phone is a replacement from Verizon (Mic stopped working) and I'm hoping it's not another defective device.
Anyways, not that I noticed. I have the rambar show on the recents window and it only says 92 mb of ram free. But the system actually says 868 free. I've never had this problem before

Ok. Just taking a stap in the dark here but if you delete your Facebook app do you still reboot?
I'll give it a shot. Restarted about 10 times since making this thread

Well, phone just had another random reboot wasn't Facebook
Was worth a shot, if anything else comes to mind, feel free to share. Haha

I can't read a logcat to save my life but are you undervolted?
I guess a clean install would take care of that. Really no idea.
Sent from my SCH-I535 using xda app-developers app
Clean install didn't work. Unless restoring my apps through titanium brought back the problem. I've ran anti virus apps (avg) also, just to be sure

Lol ok. Wish I could help more but didn't see anything pressing in the logcat. It could be many things I guess but the other option is to install something like the new cleanrom without a custom kernel and see what you get. If there are still issues then I would suspect you have a bad device.

That was going to be my last resort. Thought I would give these great forums a 24 hour trial for ideas first. I do really appreciate you taking a look! Thanks for your time, razz.

Hey everyone I am having an issue that at random times of the day my clock will be an hour ahead of the real time.
I am in the same time zone constantly throughout the day FYI.
Here is what I have tried so far:
Factory reset
Changing the time on my router to the right time zone.
Airplane mode or reboot is the only thing that works momentarily.
I am on sprint.
Thanks
Think McFly, think!

Thanks for the effort , but I have it set to use network provided time. I guess I can just switch it to manual but I never have had to do that in the past.
Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
You're phone is a time machine!
uncheck
Unchecked the network thing then select your time zone. Worked for me

That's what I ended up doing but it's just weird I have never had to do it on any other phone.

For what it's worth I have had to do this before in another phone so you aren't alone.

I have never been able to set automatic time and date settings. They have always been wrong for me. No harm has been done over the years from having them set manually.
