I think XperiFirm is the only way to find a Orange_FR ROM. You can try another customization. I've looked for and Orange_FR and Orange_Caraibes_FR have this message, other customizations don't show this message.
Sony don't keep old ftf's on the server for long after a update is released. Best bet is to look on here.

No, you don't need root. All Sony stock roms are flashable without root or unlocked bootloader

May I ask you a question: why you need to downgrade? Bad performance experience with ICS on Xperia S?
P.S. I had performance issues with my HTC Incredible S after upgrade to ICS but found few ways to fix them (UltraSmoothRosie patch with V6 SuperCharger script).
Lt26i
is this will work with LT26i?
on LT26i will only work of its firmware!

You may lose your entire device permanently as you have yet to mention what phone you have and what was the previous status of your phone. You can't just flash something meant for another phone.

So When flashing a tf300t transformer back to stock do u flash the stock rom and the update? Or should the the update contain the rom? Because I am just trying to find the differences between the two? Because I used a updates on mine because it's in a boot loop. I was wondering the reason it didn't work is because I am suppose to flash a stock rom as well?

The stock ROM is the update. The package that you download is a zip file that contains the ROM. You have to unzip it first.

It depends on
1.) What version of Android you are running.
2.) What region you live in.
3.) What bootloader you have installed.
All of the links to the stock ROMs can be located here:

I wonder how you got this?
This could be in "developer" options, if developer option is enabled check to see if there is an option to show this and uncheck it.

Thank's...
After got my phone back from repair, an older version of Android 5.1.1 was installed. So I have flashed my Xperia Z3 with a stock 5.1.1 FTF, the 23.4.a.1.232 MEA. My preferred network is set WCDMA(preferred/GSM. Before repair I normally got to see the 4G indicator. Now after repair and the mentioned flash, I don't see this anymore. Any clue?
I live in NL and have a Vodafone subscription.
what do you have it set to in the prefered network type?

It is already in my post, but OK:

then you wont get 4g, you have to set it to 4g(prefered)/wcdma/gsm, if you don't have that option you need to flash a different rom that will have it

Damn, I was afraid of that. Which one do I need then? Nordic, German?
Can you also please provide a link where I can download the stock FTF 23.4.A.1.232 which has 4g in it? Thnx!!!!!
I just checked and found it in Xperifirm. Is Nordic Combined fine? I want a 5.1.1 Unbranded and 4g of course!

Try this as well.
Open dialer and dial *#*#SERVICE#*#*
Service Settings > Network Mode > Choose LTE_ONLY and see if that works
Thanks but in the meantime I have flashed my phone with the 232 Nordic version. In there the 4g(preferred)/3g/gsm is normally available, finally. I have a fine phone again and as always happy with my Z3. And, lessons learned, never flash a MEA ftf anymore.
