What do you mean by "for free"? wifi/bt/usb hotspot can be enabled in settings, tethering and sharing. Its free, try it now! But first you must have data plan from you carrier, you know, something to share via hotspot.

1. xposed + G4tweaksbox+Amplify+greenify+bootmanager+performance profile+ smart network + tinted recent panels + Youtube AdAway.
2. better thermal control
3. Dual window for all app.
4. Russian letters in dialer.
5. BigCallPhoto (becuase via G4 tweaksbox it have white line under photo , because different screen resolution)

Seems like a good pack of mods. Btw, do you use stock keyboard? only russian/ukraine language? For me, dual language suggestions (lithuanian and english) is very weak in comparison with Xperia keyboard..

Make sure to buy and install Titanium Backup; use it for freezing apps

Regardless of what you choose to freeze I suggest reading up on LG MLT, it appears to be LG spyware/diagnostic reporting tool.
Other Xposed mods I like not listed:

Yes, I like customize smartphone to my needs and tastes I also use rom from PR without any ATT apps and I deleted claro cust folder and changed bootanimation and shootdownanimation.
No, I don't like stock keyboards. I'm using bought swype and I need 3 languages: Ukrainian, Russian and English.
There's my own dictonary from all devices.

Yes, seems liek stock LG keyboard doesnt support few languages at the same time, you have to change between languages manually.

This guy knows his stuff!

Thanks for the list, didn't know if G4tweakbox would work but now it's better, some overlapping features with Gravitybox but a few extras. The only thing I still havnt figured out completely is how to dim the Nav bar with filter apps, it only gets dimmed when I'm in launcher (w/ help of tweakbox)
Question about performance profile, do you use that to change frequency/governor and if so can would you mind sharing settings? Looking for max battery life, would thermal control benefit me?

Is there any mod to disable cameras shutter sound? There is one in G4 tweakbox but only in donate version.
Has anybody tried G4 apps, especially camera? Here's some ported apps from G4 to G3, but IDK if this would work with Flex2. http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/lg-g4-apps-apk-available-lg-g3-download-links-1500506

Xperia keyboard working on H955. except still with LG emojis. Just use manual installation.

I have PR swap SD (xposed) and gl2sd to give me more storage space, out of 16gb I've used 23gb for apps ? Also have xposed torch and xposed gel installed, the torch is very handy without having to unlock my phone and xposed gel lets me change my icons and more, also have the standard ad blocker and memory manager installed.

I use ad away, have done for years now. It's always done the job for me.

I have tried one module for xposed, but there was no affect on brightness. Currently I'm using twilight..

you can use cf.lumen from Chainfire, but only the v3.0 works with root on this device

Nexus 5 Expand Desktop without CyanogenMod

So I had CyanogenMod 11 installed for a while and whilst I much prefered it to stock android I am a big user of the camera and I couldnt stand the CyanogenMod camera so I have gone back to stock.
Whilst I am mostly finding stock completely useable, one thing I am really missing is CM's option to expand desktop.
So I am wondering if there is some img that I can flash to give the phone this feature without having to install the whole rom?
Thank you.
Bump
Search for xposed framework, then follow the instructions to install. Reboot. Download GravityBox (can be downloaded from within xposed app) and activate it. Reboot.
Expanded desktop is under display tweaks in GravityBox, and there's even pie control in status bar tweaks.
Don't forget to thank the devs

+1. I use this method on both of my phones and it works beautifully. There is also an immersive mode option in gravitybox but I much prefer standard expanded desktop + pie controls.
I wrote up a semi detailed guide on how to set it up- http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2554592
Thank you very much to both of you, much appreciated

Thanks for the guide. Do you have any idea how I can automate this in tasker for stock 4.4.2 rom? (i.e. auto immersive mode / expand desktop for specific applications) I have tried enabling it via secure settings, but it complains about my rom.

You know, I never got into tasker so I can't help you there, but there is an Xposed module called App Settings which allows you to set Immersive Mode on a per app basis. It's a must-have module, IMO. You can download it from the Xposed Installer app.

Xposed modules for the OnePlus 2

Figured we could use a thread like this, so here we go. Feel free to post the modules you're using, requests for compatibility or just general discussion.
I'll kick off with the few I'm using:
Clean Lockscreen (Repo) | (No XDA thread)
SNAPPREFS (Repo) | (XDA thread)
YouTube AdAway (Repo) | (XDA thread)
I've found GravityBox to be too buggy and unreliable to use in case anyone was wondering. It doesn't play well with O2OS at all.
Greenify + PowerNap
Hows powernap working on the OP2?.
Is it very good ? Any problem?

What have you configured inside GB? I tried remapping the navbar keys, changing the power menu, changing the battery icon and a few more minor tweaks. None worked as they should.

I tweak a few things
• Percentage on battery icon (I mean I use standard circle battery icon but percentage is in the middle of it)
• Date next to time
• Network traffic
• Quick shortcuts : no more brightness bar and added battery shortcut (no icon, but I can swith on/off battery saver mode quickly) -> with those modifications I can't use the little shortcut (the grey four-squares button on top right) to readjust shortcuts positions but I can use the GravityBox settings to do it.

I think they are the only tweaks I set. I use a standalone module for progressbar (statusbar download progress) which works really fine
Other modules working :
Amplify
Greenify
App Settings (at least for per-App DPI setting)
XuiMod (nice Xperia toast animation, just need to reboot after a change)

Powernap working fine just the force touch UI is not working(another xposed module that i love to use during OPO)
I'm using Xposed GEL Settings but it will not unlock the premium features. Says "Lucky Patcher" is installed and that I need to uninstall it to gain access to the premium features. I googled Lucky Patcher and among other things, it is used to get around IAP's. I don't have it installed so I'm unsure what is going on. Anyone else run into this?
Edit: I've done a factory reset and installed nothing but xposed and gel settings and still get this error so it appears it's something within the OS. I don't have this problem on any of my other devices (I have many).
Edit 2: when I trigger the soft keys, the premium features of GEL Settings begin to work. I can then go back to hardware buttons and the features remain. A reboot resets this. So, it looks like something in the software regarding the hardware keys makes GEL Settings think this "Lucky Patcher" is installed.

xposed-v73-sdk22-arm64.zip yeah. Note that you need the 22 SDK as O2OS is based on Lollipop 5.1.

OK so I've flashed the latest build and here are the improvements over the previous build:
1) ROM is much smoother and more responsive. RAM management also seems better.
2) Camera works now. Although you still can't record videos using the default camera, footej camera works fine.
3) Flashlight also works. No problems there.
4) Moto gestures are added and work without any hiccups. They are under system>gestures.
5) Ambient display works as it did in Lineage 14. Display lights up when notifications arrive or when you wave your hand over the proximity sensor or when you just pick up your phone.
6) Alarms work now. Alarm wakes up the screen and works fine.
7) The battery charging LED is off by default.
8) For Root, I flashed Magisk v14. It rooted the device properly but Safety Net test failed.
Some other things I noticed:
1) When ambient display turns on, you have to double tap the screen to get to your lockscreen. It was a single tap on Lineage 14.
2) There is no menu to assign custom long-press and single tap actions to navbar buttons. Navbar tuner/editor is not available. Although you can add a few extra buttons to navbar if you enable the System UI tuner.
3) Also I couldn't find the gesture to enable double tap on status bar to sleep.
4) AOSP keyboard stays on screen if you're typing and hit the home button. It does go away by pressing back or home again.
5) Memory usage is under Developer Options.

IF MISSING NAVIGATION BAR IN SystemUI

Everyone who doesn't have Navigation bar settings under SystemUI Tuner, try this app : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=xyz.paphonb.systemuituner
It works without any issues and is much more customizable than the default SystemUI tuner.

I found a key code to turn off screen - It's a 26
first of all you need to turn on system UI tuner by following below steps :-
1. Pull down the status bar
2. See the ‘Settings’ cogwheel at the right hand corner? Tap and hold on it for around 10 seconds.
3. Once you let go after 10 seconds, you’ll be taken straight to the Settings app with a prompt saying that System UI Tuner has been enabled.
Now go to settings - system - system UI tuner - navigation bar - Extra left button type / extra right button type - choose a option keycode - enter a value in left keycode / right keycode '26' - choose any icon for left icon / right icon - that's it..

hey man i know all that. i am also annoyed by these "n00b" questions. but better read my text more carefully next time. i was asking about pixel launcher inbuilt icon shape changer. its not ROM related. i just asked, as i saw few here posting screenshots with pixel launcher & those round icons. thats why i asked there. please calm down a bit.
as you opened this nice Q&A thread, i would recommend to add some info or workarounds like for: how to root, how to enable notification dots, not working list may etc on OP. so we can send ppl here if they ask. i can write those up if u want,. like this:

Have u installed latest pixel launcher which u will found on apk miror... And install as system app.. if not then just give a try..
Edit. Sry ya this is available for all with 5 new icon default, square, rounded square, squricle and teardrop...
So my suggestion install latest pixel launcher from apk mirrror or pixel oreo dup file..
And on launcher settings u will get this feature..

You dont need pixel luncher for round icons.. you can have round with default rom luncher..
Also thansk for google Assistant..i was thinking to use magisk module or some apps for playstore bit your way is easyer and faster
I went back to another rom for now because of the charging light staying on. No app from the play store working with this rom. Had this issue on another rom and the dev wrote a script that you can flash to disable. Got to be a way to rid it until option put in rom. Sorry if I sound like it's a big deal. For me it's a deal breaker. This rom and developer is so good, I can wait for it. ?

Very useful apps working without root

I'll root my device but not for the moment. In the meanwhile, I suggest these useful "no root" apps to perform tasks for which we usually use apps needing root:
- For adblock, Block this: this a VPN based adblocker, works very fine, free
- To hybernate some apps, Hybernator: manual hybernation or automated hybernation when screen off, free (not free for system apps)
- To prevent apps autostart at boot, All-In-One Toolbox, free
- To increase number of volume steps, Precise Volume, free (pro version not free)
Pls give further suggestions if you have some...
Guess your already making themes and apps for the xz2 @nreuge nice bro congrats we will miss you back at the z5 community

Yes bro, I can confirm, with your script you get rid of many unwanted apps - without root! It's a bat file, means you simply connect your phone with your pc and double-click the bat file via shell. The device reboots automatically when finished. The only two things you have to consider:
1. USB Debugging must be on in developer settings
2. If there's an app which has already been updated before running the script, you can simply use settings > apps to remove that apps.
But I guess, there will be a better description when you'll release it
@serajr
A big thanks to you - awesome work as always my friend! :good::highfive:

for pictures/photos there is only one - quickpic, been using it for years, it has every conceivable option possible and has no bloat, the main reason I ever explored the need for a 3rd party app was because the standard Sony Album didn't allow you to exclude folders, it really is extremely good

Ha ha, maybe should we start a new thread now
Lspeed is always a must. I've enabled all the performance options which don't affect battery life. XZ2 is still more than powerful, but even more power can't harm ^^
On the contrary, you can enable the battery options (which affect performance). This is the magic of Lspeed, you can do whatever you want
I've installed the following magisk modules:
- Magisk SELinux Manager
- AOSP Volume Steps Increase
- Audio Compatibility Patch (for audio effects remaining active whatever the app)
- Looki75 Product Sans Font (it's the new Google Font)
- App Systemizer - Terminal Emulator
They all work fine
OMG!! Root is so fantastic
