Hey guys, especially the devs out there!
I am just curious if it is possible to flash a rom with this format:
For example, I have a Huawei Honor 3c that has the stock rom; (V100R001C900B127)..... And I want to flash another stock rom which is purposely for another phone model like Huawei Ascend, Samsung Galaxy S5, etc...
Is it possible to flash a stock rom which is purposely for another device into my device?
I'm just curious... Thanks in advance [emoji1] [emoji1]

Yes it is.
But before you flash another rom to your device. First we have to make both of them friends.
Before flashing any rom for another chipset. You have to port that rom to your chipset and then flash it.
Many guids are there on this topic and all of them are reliable if you follow them carefulley. And they works also

Hi everybody,
This is my first thread in XDA Developers website, I'm an Android developer and I love stock Android. I have a rooted S3 and I would like to flash a stock Android rom on it for the first time. I found out the following thread which has the stock Android rom from the Google edition Galaxy S4 (★★★ [ROM][JB4.2.2] StockDroid v6 [16/07][I9505GUEUAMFD] ★★★), I would like to download and flash it to my S3, can I do it?
If not, can anyone suggest a good stock Android rom that I can flash to my S3.
Thanks and regards

Stock rom is only for for their supported devices and flashing stock rom to another unspported will brick ur device

Ok thank you all, I thought it's possible, taking the fact that S4 and S3 is pretty similar.

Yes, I am a developer, but that doesn't mean I know everything, I'm good in developing apps, but I'm not good with flashing and custom roms and all these things.
I'm trying to learn these things from this forums, that's why I joined today.
Hi all,

Hi. Now, i use a stock rom. I rooted the rom and flash this bloat remover in cwm. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2566123
Also this rom its good http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2507772 , but i prefer stock.

I've been running TWRP http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2503063 along with SEAL ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2486388.
Noticed a considerable performance increase over other ROMs. Not having Touchwiz or any other Samsung apps is also a big bonus for me.
Just an FYI, these threads aren't allowed on xda.

The best rom is the one YOU like best. Flash and find out.
We all have different needs and tastes....its a silly question to ask others to decide what's best for you.

It is your tab so you have to do a little testing to find the one that you like the best.
IMO, S.E.A.L. with the blackhawk kernel and CWM works wonderful for me.

For some reason this device never got the attention that others did. As such all rooms are based off stock. Your best bet is to root it and install Titanium Backup. Then remove all the boatware with it.
I'm running Rocket Tab Rom on mine and have been happy with it.
Sent from my SM-T210R using Tapatalk
I've been running Rocket Tab Lite v3.1. The lite version doesn't have the Samsung stuff. I have had a very good experience with it. I also flashed the Blackhawk kernel.

Hi,
Is there anyway to flash this rom but to stay woth the same stock Theme?
The device is gonna be used with a non-tech person.
Thanks
I see no real difference from stock. This is not like a Cyanogenmod build, it still has the look of Touch wiz. Mainly it just has the Samsung apps removed. I have noticed a great improvement in both performance and battery life with the Rocket Tab ROM.

My advice is until there's more options.....root, get titanium backup and freeze a crapload of bloat...especially all the Samsung stuff, greenify and battery and smoothness are as good as it gets I think.

I tried the Rocket Tab guide and I flashed the PhilZ Touch recovery from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2468441
Which had a link to this page (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2653391 )
I flashed this recovery:
philz_touch_6.19.3-lt02wifi.zip
Then I tried to flash the Rocket ROM and I got an error and now the device stucked on Samsung logo.
Attached a photo shows the error.
Please help. Thanks

Flash any custom recovery and take backup from the recovery.
If you don't find any custom recovery for your phone, use MTK Droid Tools from PC and backup. See here how: http://www.needrom.com/download/tutorial-backup-rom-with-mtkdroidtools/
This method is the easiest: http://droidorigin.blogspot.in/2013/10/how-to-easily-dump-stock-rom-of-your.html
But I'm not sure if it will work. Just try
Ill try your suggestion, i will update my progress through this thread what happens. thanks again

Lollipop for samsung galaxy core 2 duos
My phone is Lenovo s580
Sent from my Lenovo S580 using Tapatalk
I know but these apps in guide are not brand or device specific. The core 2 runs 4.4.2 so any device of any world running 4.4.2 or above will aupport these apps.
Bro I need a full custom Rom I don't want to make my device look like lollipop so please if you know how to make one for me I would appreciate it
Sent from my Lenovo S580 using Tapatalk
This is what custom rom is made of. Apps which look like lollipop and can run on your version of device. They replace system default apps from then. This is a major part of rom making. Minor part is to edit some default apps and make them look like lollipop. And leaat part is of esition build.prop and ini thats all. All other parts except apps are taken from stock rom itself
I know so but my default Rom sucks with ram managing and has a lot of bugs that's why I need cm or supernexus
Sent from my Lenovo S580 using Tapatalk
Can you provide me a copy of your build.prop and your total ram plz
Bro this the end of it I need a custom full Rom I don't want to edit my stuff if you can port any Rom for me I would holy appreciate it
