Good evening ^_^ (I am from the Philippines. Its evening here right now.)
Okay. First of all, I own a Huawei Honor 3C (H30-U10), the international set (C900Bxxx). Once had stock B127 Android JB rom, but I upgraded it to Android KK by flashing the B320 rom via SPFT.
Here's some facts about my device:
*It had the Carliv CWM-based custom recovery when it was still running the stock rom.
*I had the custom recovery before I upgraded my device.
*I failed once upgrading it. (Because of the sloppy chinese KK rom -_-).
*When I did the upgrade, the Carliv CWM-based recovery (Which I reflashed after the upgrade ofc) doesn't seem to work (The phone is stuck to the Honor powered by android screen, just before the boot animation).
*So I flashed the latest TWRP custom recovery to the phone, which i occasionally use in my Samsung Galaxy Tab 3.0 (SM-T311).
So my problem is, the TWRP doesn't seem to function in my device because there is no touch response. The only thing working is, ofc the power button, which locks the device. But it has no use. When i lock it, (You know that you slide to unlock it right?) I can't unlock it, because it doesn't seem to respond to my touches.
So basically, the Carliv recovey is the only recovery that HAS worked ONCE for me. But now I am stuck with the TWRP recovery, which doesn't work.
Please tell me what to do to my device.
I'm looking forward to your answers. Especially to the devs of the recoveries stated, if possible.
Btw, thanks in advance ^_^
Ps. Im just new in XDA. So I don't know if the sub-forum I picked is correct. Hope you understand me ^_^

hi i recently flashed a cm10.1 rom on my huawei ascend y300, but i faced a lot off bugs in this rom, then i decided to flash my stock rom, but when i booted in TWRP the touch was not working, i heard that twrp doesn't support cyanogen mod, then i flashed a clockwork mod recovery, and now when i try to boot in cwm my phone turns off, i am sick of this situation, tried lots of ways but no one worked, anyone have an idea how to solve it ?
thanks in advance
Hello you brilliant people! I haven't been on here in some time. I recently move to China and brought along my Galaxy S3 i-535. It's been some time since I've worked with flashing custom ROMs and never tried it on the S3 until I came here. I am able to root, unlock the boot loader, and install CWM. However, whenever I try and flash any ROM I get the ever infuriating (Status 7) assert. Meaning that I have the incorrect ROM, correct? But I have double, triple, and quadruple checked and I have the correct ROM. Here are the pertinent details:
=============================================================
-Samsung Galaxy S3 I-535
-Originally a Verizon phone (Screw VZW!)
-Currently on the ChinaMobile network with a Chinese SIM card
-CWM v6.0.2.3
-And I'm currently on Android 4.1.2
-Baseband Ver.: I535VRBMB1
-Kernal Ver.: 3.0.31-861013 (not sure if useful, but maybe)
=============================================================
Here is the my specific question. ##Could I be receiving the Status 7 assert due to the different SIM card/network??##
I've tried removing the assert from the updater-script file, but no luck. I changed almost a year ago, so the old SIM card is long lost and finding a VZW SIM here would be nearly impossible.
I believe my CWM version is new enough.
If this is the case, any suggestions on where to go next? Any developer/website that would work with China Mobile is in Chinese, and my Chinese is VERY poor.
I need to update my phone to receive data, so they say, but I'm not sure how high I have to update. I was trying to avoid 4.3 because of the locked bootloader. But I think I can find a ROM for 4.3 or 4.4 that doesn't force me to take the locked boot loader? Am I correct in my thinking. Yes I have been researching, I just want to make sure I'm right.
Any useful assistance will be rewarded with my endless gratitude and kind thoughts!!!
You want to upgrade your CWM to 6.0.4.5 then flash your roms from there. If you're using Rom Manager, you can upgrade from within the app itself. Alternatively, you can download the CWM 6.0.4.5 recovery IMG file from the official CWM website, download "Flashify" from the Play Store then install the CWM 6.0.4.5. recovery img file using Flashify.
WOot woot!!!!

That was all it needed! Success! Running the latest Cyanogen!
Much thanks, much thanks!
hi all, I'm trying to upgrade to KK with a stock/official fw; linky via odin 3.07. I am able to flash successfully, the tablet restarts and then just sits at the Samsung "blue oval thing"
I've tried TWRP touch 2.8.0.1 to install Gnabo 6.5, following instructions of Here, using "Installation for N801x". All has gone as expected until I tried to install the bootloader section, TWRP crashes to bootloop each time.
I've tried re-downloading the bootloader as well as clean flash of KK and using CWM touch 6.0.3.6 in place of TWRP; same result.
I have a backup of 4.0.something, but i want 4.4.2. Any suggestions are welcomed, TIA.

Did you flash the Leaked n8000 firmware that Changes the Boot-Loader to the knox boot-loader. If so i think you have to flash a 4.4.2 zip with Mobile odin as it does not do a Boot loader check. There are several threads about 8010 Devices STUCK Into using the n8000 firmware only. Then you have to apply the no cell and wifi fix patches. I do not have a 8010 mine is 8013 so i do not have this issue and have not read totally up on it. It just seems this could be your Trouble.
Good Luck
Thanks Erica_Renee,
I've read about this issue in a few threads, I didn't feel it affected me as my bootloader screen
View attachment 2968202
doesn't show anything about Knox.
but, as I'm short on options; why not. So you're saying go back to 4.0.whatever, install mobile odin and flash KK N8010 rather than through odin on desktop?

Hello,
I have an XT1032 ('falcon') MotoG, purchased from Tesco in the UK. The bootloader was unlocked very soon after I bought it and I purchased an unlock code to allow it to be used on all UK networks. It works well. I think it was supplied with Android 4.3 Jellybean, and it was updated OTA to 4.4.4 KitKat.
I'm trying to install CM11 M6 (dated 4/5/2014) on the 'phone using CWM6.0.4.7. It appears to install fine, but goes to the bootloop, with the CM face in the middle and the rotating arrow running around it - and never progresses from there. This seems to be a common problem as there are a number of threads about it on this forum. It appears that the solution is to downgrade it to 4.3 by flashing it.
Following the instructions here:
http://www.nerdoholic.com/mobiles/restore-stock-firmware-motorola-moto-g/
... the opening instruction is "Download and install Motorola drivers" - which is where the problems start as it appears that the Motorola drivers are only available for Windows and Mac users, but not for Linux users, and I only have Ubuntu machines to play with.
So, where do I go from here? How can I downgrade to 4.3 with a Linux machine? I have tried the instructions, and they don't complete (although they seem to get most of the way there.)
Alternatively, is there any other way of installing CM11 on my 'phone without downgrading? There seem to be some people around who have made it work by installing CM11 twice (which didn't work for me), by wiping the 'phone and the Dalvik Cache (which also hasn't worked) or by using a different Recovery tool ('Philz Advanced CWM Tool' is mentioned occasionally, but I haven't tried it.)
All help welcomed, thanks. (For clarity, the 'phone is an original Moto G, 16GB. It's not the Moto G2, nor is it the 4G/LTE version that was released a little later.)
Oli.
A little more information - I have backed-up the working configuration of the 'phone with CWM and can restore from it fine. This is hence allowing me to tinker with all sort of other configurations and still get back to an operational 'phone - which is great! However I would be nervous about trying anything that would jeopardise this restore capability, which is one of the reasons why I haven't progressed with Philz Advanced CWM Tool.

Linux requires no drivers. Fastboot tutorial here:
http://lifehacker.com/the-easiest-way-to-install-androids-adb-and-fastboot-to-1586992378http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2542219
You cannot boot into 4.3 with your 4.4.4 bootloader. I suggest you flash the Retail UK 4.4.4 firmware image available here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=54872143&postcount=362
Lost101,
Thanks - I suspected that it was the case that Ubuntu needed no drivers. Will the fact that I am trying to downgrade from 4.4.4 to 4.3 explain the fact that the flash didn't complete?
If so, and I try using the Retail UK 4.4.4 image then will it subsequently allow me to install CM11 (which is my final goal)?
Thanks again for your help.
Oli.
Personally I am more inclined to suspect the ROM itself and/or your custom recovery version is the problem.
Lost101,
Thanks again. Following the instructions in your first post (above) has successfully installed 4.4.4 from the Retail UK image. It boots and (appears) to work OK. However manually rebooting into fastboot and choosing 'Recovery' has highlighted the fact that CWM seems to have been lost and SuperSU is not in the Apps List - so it really does look like a very stock build (albeit the unlocked bootloader remains unlocked, as you'd expect).
I guess I therefore gain Root Access and re-install CWM and see where we go from there. Thanks again for your help.
Oli.
You have been using an early build of CWM. I recommend Philz Touch or TWRP.
To flash custom recovery in Fastboot:
fastboot flash recovery recovery-name.img
Hi guys, my cousin bought a Lenovo S650 powered by a MediaTek SoC but it came in chinese. I went on and flashed the Rest of the World ROM (official stock) which worked fine for a day. I gave the device back to him, he went on installing his apps from the store but a day later he rang me and told me that the device was on a bootloop (which in fact it is).
I already tried to flash the stock ROM again but no success - it keeps on a bootloop.
So, I come here asking you guys what can I do? The phone had a ROM with TWRP before, so I did a full backup, but I can't even access the recovery (stock or custom, 'cause it reboot over and over), but I need to flash TWRP to restore the ROM.
Any solutions?
Thanks guys
