I really have no idea how its been rooted and efs is missing.. cos my sis is the one who did it..
Im gonna try odin paran bin to my phone see whether it help recover efs.
LOOOL sis?? My goodness and to top it off you dont know how she did it?? Not good bro... All i can say is stick to this forum for ANYTHING I9305 and you will be right. I bet ya she flashed the I9300 Root which causes a missing Imei its happened to a few ppl on here already, A few guides on this forum to look through good luck
Never let ladies fiddle with your phone. Certainly not trying to root it, it is like swearing in church. You just do not do it.
Again.. why do you 9305 guys insist on posting non dev related threads in the dev section?!?! I have never gotten as many reports for non dev threads in the dev section than I have on the 9305 dev board..
DO NOT POST NON DEV RELATED THREADS IN THE DEVELOPER FORUM!!
You all can root your phone, yet can't follow simple directions

Em think you not explain yourself all that well because it seems you mixing stuff up.
Well, if you insist its the imei you need - look at the box... Its printed there.
If your phone was carrier subsidized, then they can probably tell you.
Hello I have been trying to figure this out for the past little while i was dumb and forgot to backup my efs partition. I flashed a rom and unlocked the device as it was originally locked to rogers after this my serial number is missing and i get a message saying no service. it then changes to no sim card. i think most of my problem is rooting from the missing serial number I have been looking on google and through these forums but have been unable to find something. Some help or a push in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you i thought this was it reposted over there
i got a used galaxy s5
but i found that the imei on the back behind the battery refers to G900H
and the one at the status or by dialing *#06* refers to G900F
Both the imei numbers are valid starting with 35 and dont start with 00 that mean efs not damaged
what is the original model of my phone ?
i checked it by antutu and its saying G900F
but maybe this because the app saw the status imei and displaying the spec for this imei ?
and i want to know what caused the imei to be changed
and the sticker on the phones is back is red . does that mean the phone dropped in water before and
repaired by changing the motherboard or circuit ?
i have 2 days warranty to get the phone back to the seller and restore all of money i paid so replay fast as you can please
thanks
i forget to mention this also the serial number is different
and the G900F got 4g network , the G900H got 3g Network
but its displaying lte in mobile networks preference
maybe someone flashed a G900F rom in G900H phone or what ?
It could mean that the mother board was replaced or that it is stolen and they changed the imei.

If it changed then there was something wrong with the rom as the imei is on the efs partition that shouldnt be touched by a rom but samsung devices are known for corrupting the efs on its own, requiring it to be sent in to the oem.
As for the phone model there is no way to know. What may have happened is someone took 2 broken devices and made a single one.
any other opinions about this phone ?
do i have to give it back to the seller ?
and what phone equals to it if i wanted to replace ?

Open the device and examine the motherboard, there should be something on the motherboard to identify the model number that it came from (if it has been replaced/switched).

Your hardware is G900F, so your software should be for G900F. Should be no difference between what you have and an un-repaired S5 G900F. As long as the new motherboard is SIM/carrier unlocked, you can use it on any network with no issues. Any future software repairs to the device will require G900F software/firmware.
I'm not sure whether you can use the LTE capability of the G900F motherboard, that will depend on whether it is compatible with your network, you might be limited to 3G like the G900F that it originally was because LTE doesn't always work when using a device on a different network. Some can be made to work with a little troubleshooting/flashing/modifying, attempting to do so, in some cases, can cause serious issues so research it before you attempt it, if you attempt it.
I believe it will be fine to keep it instead of returning it.
