With much fanfare, LeTV announced its new flagship flagship-killer product, the LeTV 1s. Building on the success of its first product, the LeTV one that packed a octacore processor into an “budget” priced phone, the LeTV 1S improves on the winning formula. The most visible upgrade is the full metal unibody, a technology that allows the phone to be more durable and more compact – in fact they claim it cuts down the thickness of phone by 2mm. The second biggest change is the inclusion of a ultra responsive finger print reader on the back face of the phone – a design that is featured on other flagships like the LG G4. The other upgrades are more incremental – the screen has been upgrade to improve brightness, the camera has been upgraded to improve responsiveness, and the CPU is now 10% faster.
A feature that sounds really promising is their fast charge feature that is enabled with their new USB Type-C cable – a feature that could cut the time to charge the phone. LeTV claims that 3 hours of talk time could be obtained with just a 5 minutes charge. This sounds amazing if it works as advertised!
Whilst all these features sound great, they don’t deserve the “Flagship Killer” title. LeTV has a solution for that too – a huge price cut. Instead of selling this phone at the same price of the previous model, the chose to cut its price by 1/3, dropping the 1699 RMB price tag to a mere 1099RMB (172 USD). This seemly suicidal strategy has only been used by Amazon with their Kindle Fire tablets and have never been seen on a mobile phone. This phone is now priced at the Budget price point, but the performance and build is Samsung S6 level. It seems that LeTV is definitely looking at selling aftersale services such as their TV service to make their profit.

an elaborated spec comparison between the two new tablets Acer Iconia B1-A71 and Lenovo IdeaTab A2107, to find out which one will be a good buying decision for you. Have a look at it below!
Dimensions & Weight: While Iconia B1-A72 carries a dimension of 197.4 x 128.5 x 11.3 mm and weighs in at 320 grams, IdeaTab A2107 measures a dimension of 192 x 122 x 11.5 mm and a weight of around 400 grams, which makes the latter quite heavy.
Display: Both the tablets fare equally on the display front with 7 inch capacitive multi-touch displays with a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels.
Processor: In this segment, the Acer offering comes with a 1.2GHz dual core MediaTek processor. Whereas, the Lenovo offering is equipped with a comparatively lower 1GHz Cortex A9 processor.
Operating System: When it comes to OS, Iconia B1-A71 scores an upper arm with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system out of the box as compared to IdeaTab A2107, which is flavored with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich platform.
Notably, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean is equipped with features including Project Butter, enhanced accessibility with new APIs, support for International users with bi-directional text support, other language support, expandable and contractible notifications, resizble app widgets, live wallpaper preview, high resolution contact photos, improved Android Beam and Wi-Fi network.
Camera: In terms of camera optics, IdeaTab A2107 fares well with a 2MP rear camera and a 0.3MP front camera for video calling. On the other hand, Iconia B1 lacks a main camera while houses a 0.3MP front camera.
Storage: In this segment, the Lenovo offering scores more as it comes in three variants - 4GB/8GB/16GB internal storage, 1GB RAM and a micro SD card slot.
In comparison, the Acer tablet comes with 8GB onboard storage, 512MB RAM and a micro SD card slot supporting up to 32GB expandable storage.
Connectivity: Both the tablets come with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and micro USB support. Further, IdeaTab A2107 comes with dual SIM support, hence will offer 3G connectivity, which is missing in the Aser offering.
Battery: Iconia B1-A71 is loaded with a 2,710 mAh, the Lenovo offering is powered by 3,550 mAh battery. While, the later battery is technically found to be more powerful than the former, however both the companies claim that the devices will provide up to 8 hours of battery backup. Well, that can be checked only when we receive the tablet for review.
Price: In the pricing segment, Acer has priced the tablet attractively at Rs 7,999 and Lenovo has priced its offering at Rs 13,495.
Verdict
Being budget tablets from leading manufacturers, both Acer Iconia B1 and Lenovo IdeaTab A2107 have decent specifications, thereby making it tough for the consumers to choose. However, each of the two tablets offer some important specs that are lacking in the opponent.
If the concern is on a low priced tablet without any voice calling facility, the Acer tablet with a faster dual core processor and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean experience could be a better option.
However, if the concern is on SIM support, better backup, a rear camera and increased storage options, the dual SIM IdeaTab A2107 should be the right choice.
bought the B1-A71 today, and i am quite satisfied with it's performance for a dual core tablet in 8k budget, and the battery life is pretty good on the first run, doesn't get hot on hours of usage, and the expandable storage does support 32GB cards.

Bought it - arrives tomorrow
Acer B1-A71 - The main use for this tablet is as an extended e-reader and in-car computer AIO. I've been expecting for a long time something like this - it has all the connectivity that I'm interested of, it's pretty light and is cheap - meaning that I can turn it inside out without being afraid of losing too much money.
Would be interesting to see on XDA a section for this tablet or for the "cheap" tablets.
I'll post my review here, if someone is interested.
LE after unboxing and first use of the tablet:
About the package: nice and well packed. Inside you'll find a quick guide flyer, warranty manual in all european languages, an international warranty passport, the USB charger (in the EU version it comes with the most common stardard plug), the USB cable and, ofcourse, the tablet.
First look impression: nice tablet, but just way to big black border around the screen (in all is like a 9 inches tablet with a 7 inches screen, just to give you an idea) and all this black border is like a finger prints magnet. It's thick enough to give you a well build device impression and has enough weight to be difficult to hold it by a corner, but with both hands it feels lighter. It has indeed a "crunching" sound if you apply pressure or twist it by the angles and it has a default of design - near the volume rocker it has a bump under the blue line. On my blog you'll see some photos.
The display it's a wow factor for me! Yes, it's a little washed but it's clear, it's like my phone's display (and LG O3D has a 220 dpi display) ad for now I have not noticed any irregularities. The touch screen it's responsive, quick and responsive even if sometimes you'll have to kick twice the same onscreen button.
How it moves? Smooth - till now, with no apps installed, even if the available amount of RAM, with no app running, is only of 160 Mb. Maybe with some rooting and fast reboot we'll have some 100 MB extra. The default browser application (because is installed Chrome browser also) is loading fast pages -those few that I've tried. Youtube is loading also fast the videos and I've noticed that loads the videos with the highest resolution available - it might be my impression.
One thing that I don't like it is that the screen rotation is lagging about a second - but I'm sure that with some root and build.prop editing it can be fixed.
Available space with no app installed is 5.12 Gb.
Camera - it's a bit NO! Even if it is used for video chatting, at 0.3 Mpx is scandalous how grainy it is - too much noise in the image.
The battery - can't say much on it. It came with 29% and in about 25 minutes of powering on and configuring the tablet (with WiFi connected), some demo with browser and youtube, it lost only 1%. And in charging - in 10 minutes or so it got from 28% to 42%.
Overall - I am pleased with this tablet. For my needs it's more than OK. It remains to try out the GPS and bluetooth. I'll keep you informed.
Meizu has released its latest smartphone, Meizu MX4, and it will also announce Meizu MX4 Pro soon. But today, i would like to make a deep review about Meizu MX4 first. This smartphone has become the flaship device in the market right now. Meizu MX4 is said to be the best rival of Xiaomi MI4. As you know, Xiaomi, Meizu, Huawei, Oppo and ZTE are all Chinese famous brand. You can also share the feeling about this smartphone.
Design and apperance
Meizu MX4 packs a 1920 * 1152 Pixel SHARP JDI Corning Gorilla Glass 3 Screen , with the dimension of 5.67 x 2.96 x 0.35 inches (144 x 75.2 x 8.9 mm), From the screen size, it can be the most suitable size for us to hold. If it sported a large screen more than 5.36inch, it would increase the some unacceptable comments from users. Therefore, I like the screen size , meanwhile, i have tested the screen quality, it has also nice screen color. Which i would like to use the smartphone to wathc the videos. Hope you can have the same feeling with me.
Powerful Hardware :MTK6595 Octa Core 2.2Ghz
Meizu MX4 is the first smartphone which is powered by MTK6595 Octa Core 2.2Ghz processor, before the MTK6595 chipset came out, many manufacturers and users have predicted which brand will be the first one using MTK6595 Octa core 2.2 GHz processor, now Meizu has revealed the answer for you. About the speed, i really can't express my joy about it more. It's so fast and swift compared with MTK6592 Octa core 1.7GHz, when i play the 3D games, there is no need to wait for more than 20seconds. I can log in the games without any stop. Believe or not, just have a try.
As for the internal memory, it is not RAM 3GB but RAM 2GB, and it has two versions that one is RAM 2GB ROM 32GB, the other is RAM 2GB ROM 16gb, i am the one who is inclined to use the ROM 32GB. which has the larger storage which let me download and store numerous full high definition videos.
20.7MP Rear Camera
As for me, a cool camera is very important, Meizu MX4 has 20.7MP rear camera which is the finest camera i have ever seen compared with other smartphone. It utilizes Sony’s latest high-end Exmor RS sensor, coming in at 1/2.3″ and 20.7 megapixels this sensor not only picks up a ton of detail but it picks up a ton of light too. Although the front camera has only 2MP, the rear camera is really eye-catching. I will take more pictures about the back camera.
3100mAh Battery(Bulit-in)
Last time, you must remember THL has released the most durable battery with 5000mAh, now Meizu MX4 has also 3100mAh battery built in the smartphone. Standby in particular is absolutely amazing on the MX4, when i play the gmaes by this smartphone, it can support more than 8 hours working time. I really can't believe it.
Support 4G LTE network , GPS, and Multilanguage function
Besides those nice features, Meizu MX4 can also support multilanguage, which can beat those Lenovo smartphone without multilanguage function. And 4G LTE network let me enjoy the fast speed to search the Internet. Especially play it on subway. GPS function can help me guide my way when i have a travel, or when i shop on a strange road.
In conclusion, i love this Meizu MX4 smartphone with the good price. Hope you can also have a nice experience with me.
Well first of all I would like personally to thank you for the review. I was thinking to buy this phone and by this great review, I am more likely to buy it sooner than I thought. The thing is tho, 4G LTE network works in all European countries with all Cell phone Brands or how you call it? I mean like Vodafone, Orange, O2, Cosmote, Wind etc...? And I would like to ask something else too(since you own the phone already) does it support LED notifications? I saw a video on youtube but I am not sure if it's real or fake. Thanks in advance.
Internal phone storage
I currently have a ZTE Nubia Z5S NX503A, 32GB version. When I recieved it, I found out it had just a 2GB internal phone storage and around 24GB SD-storage. None of the storage locations are able to be physicaly removed or replaced. As a standard, Google Play Store installs apps to this internal phone storage, but this gets very quickly filled up. Anyone know how this is with the Meizu MX4 Pro?
I love meizu mx4 and pro. Planing to buy it.. Little bit concern about customs charge.. I am living India.. Did anyone already buy from India ?

As well know, except for the MEIZU MX4, Huawei Ascend Mate7 and the Xiaomi Mi4 are both the latest popular Chines mobiles, so how do you think of the three mobile phones?

Hey guys, my review is up!
Excellent Battery & GPS Performance
Coming from Nokia 3210, Moto Razr V3x, Nokia E61, Samsung P780, HTC HD2, iPhone 4, LeMoto S890, LeMoto P780, Alcatel Idol X, LeMoto K910, Huawei Honor 3C, ZTE Blade S6, ASUS Zenfone 2 ZE550ML, Xiaomi Mi4i, Ulephone Be Touch 2, Meizu M2 Note and current favourite daily-driver, ZTE Nubia Z7 Max.
Bought the Elephone P4000 16GB from Lazada with RM100 discount at RM399 (SRP =RM499 on 15 August 2015). I have been using it for 7 days now.
It's rooted Lollipop 5.1.0 under Elephone-AOSP Stock ROM v20150725.
Here are my comments about this device:
A = Android = Pure stock Lollipop is not easy to get at this price range. Zero junk apps out of the box with minimum Google Services pre-installed. More OEMs should follow this trend.
B = Body-Built = Elephone manages to make the polycarbonate feels 'acceptable' and extremely comfortable to hold. The device is slippery to hold if your palm is dry. Advisable to get TPU casing and an oleophobic tempered-glass protector for better feel. Buttons are placed nicely with decent tactile feedback. Capacitive touch buttons are available but only the home key is back-lit with blue color tone. Size and weight ratio is perfect. There is no screen protection for the 5" display but out-of-the-box there is good quality plastic screen guard. Display quality for 720P resolution during daylight usage is average.
C = Call quality = Average but not to challenge my daily-driver ZTE Nubia Z7 Max. You cannot get reception when inside elevator or basement one.
D = Data = LTE modules for both macro-SIM 1 and macro-SIM 2 are stable. Bluetooth 4.0 is stable too but not strong compared to Xiaomi Mi4i (Bluetooth 4.1). No NFC and infra-red terminals.
E = Email = Email client is comparable to other Android-based phones. It works as intended but you should install 3rd party email client for better experience.
F = Free-apps = None. Elephone really makes the stock ROM as light as possible. Minimum Google services are included out of the box.
G = Games = Heavy titles produce drop-frames frequently. The internal combo are 64-bit MediaTek MT6735P @ 1.0GHz + Mali-T720MP2 GPU + 2GB LPDDR3 RAM + 16GB flash (11GB free after first boot). Fortunately, no over-heating issue even after 30 minutes of intense gaming. Just ordinary warm to the touch.
H = Hangouts = Video call for Skype, Google Hangouts, Tango etc. is superb for 2MP front facing camera. There is a flash for the front camera for dark or pitch black scene however don't expect too much from the front flash quality.
I = Internet = AOSP built-in web browser is good. Slight checker-board effect on heavy websites. 3rd party browser is encouraged for better experience.
J = Juice = 4420mAh sealed lithium-ion polymer cell = "HYPER-EXCELLENT!". Claimed talk-time, stand-by time, etc. are achievable for dual-standby-macro-SIM LTE phone. Power consumption during 12-hour idle state is only 2% from (i.e.10pm to 10am). Heavy usage of 3 hours GPS & endless web browsing & YouTubes will end up at 12 hrs Screen-On-Time. Even my previous LeMoto P780 can only managed to get 8 hours SOT of similar usage pattern. There's quick-charged feature (compatible to Qualcomm Quick-Charge 2.0 charger too) is available which requires 2 hours to completely finish charging from 0% to 100% for 4420mAh capacity.
K = Kamasutra = Phone vibrates with notification/ringtone. Vibrating sensation is mild. Laddies may not use it for other satisfying purpose(s)... LOL...
L = Loudspeaker = Very loud for back-firing speaker. However, & as usual, maximum volume will distort the sound. Bass is below average level.
M = Music = Built-in Music app with the use of high end headphones/earphones does not produce satisfaction due to lack of clarity and quality.
N = Navigation = Working as expected and accurate too. Lock to satellites within 10 seconds. Waze, Google Maps and HERE Maps are working normally, even indoors.
3 hours navigation just consumes 6% battery juice. No other smartphones can beat this battery usage. In fact, surprisingly the device does not feel hot (just luke warm) after 3 hours navigation.
O = One-hand Operation = I have "big" hands and "long" fingers No further comments. To somebody, the 5" screen with average bezel width may also be pleasing enough to handle this 168gm device with one-hand. This award still belongs to ZTE Blade S6.
P = Picture = 13MP Samsung f/2.2 CMOS sensor is acceptable accompanied by single tone LED flash. Auto mode camera snapshot is reliable. Macro shots are acceptable. Low light image is average for budget smartphone class.
Q = Quirks = Processing power & sound quality. The SoC MediaTek MT6735P clocked at 1.0GHz is not sufficient to handle heavy game titles and heavy websites. GPS navigation and video streaming is reliable though. Elephone should have adopted MT6753 instead, like the P8000 model.
R = Rooting = To-date, using SP Flash Tool method to flash SuperSU v2.49. However, to get OTA updates after rooting requires detail attention in order to avoid bootloop issue during the update.
S = Screen = The 5" IPS panel is adequate for daily usage. Viewing angle has slight shadow effect. Direct sunlight visibility is average at 100% brightness. Overall, the screen is soothing to the eyes even when you stare at it constantly for prolong period of time.
T = Texting = stock AOSP keyboard is provided. You may need to install 3rd party keyboard apps as you will get the best typing/swiping experience on the 5" screen. Get yourself oleophobic tempered glass screen protector and you can glide your fingers on the 3rd party keyboard happily, even when using it single handed.
U = User-Interface = Stock AOSP UI simple and good enough for daily use.
However, rooting will get more flexibility for better experience for sure.
V = Video = Capturing up to 720P video is acceptable. 1080P is not supported. Tap-to-focus is fast and sharp enough. Digital/electronic image stabilisation is available too.
Overall, it's better to install 3rd party camera app for more satisfying output.
W = WiFi = Above average. Having only 2.4GHz a/b/g/n is expected on budget smartphone. Same like most other phones, it only manages to get 3 bars in my basement floor test. My current ZTE Nubia Z7 Max captures 5 full bars without fail. Huawei Honor 3C gets 4 bars. iPhone 4 only 3 bars.
X = X-factors = BATTERY LIFE - period! For dual-macro-SIMs LTE phone (both SIM 1 & 2 supports LTE) with 2GB RAM supported by 16GB onboard storage (expandable up to 32GB) is worth every penny. Compatible to Qualcomm Quick-Charge charger too. Average voice/data/Wi-Fi reception is not in favour for those who live in the outskirts or camping sites. Heavy gamers won't like this unit. But heavy GPS users will be more than happy to own this unit.
Y = YouTube = The 5" IPS screen at 720P resolution accompanied by reliable LTE connection is a mixed experience. This is merely due to sound quality even though when wearing your favorite earphone/headphone.
Z = Zero-figure. Based price at Malaysia Ringgit RM499-point-zero-zero is a smart investment with current 64-bit chip plus Android Lollipop 5.1 out-of-the-box. But if you get this unit at RM499, better top-up a bit more to opt for other options such as ASUS Zenfone 2, or even the Huawei/Honor portfolios.
Xiaomi Redmi 2 can be of similar budget options. Don't forget the best budget smartphone of 2015 - the LeMoto K3 Note (way cheaper).
But if you are looking for the BEST battery life & GPS experience, look no further.
CONCLUSION : Buy it if you are looking for back-up phone or budget phone that has dual-macro-SIMs LTE support (both SIMs) with excellent 4420mAh battery capacity and reliable GPS performance. 64-bit MediaTek MT6735P SoC at below RM500 is affordable with the Lollipop 5.1 engine out-of-the-box. The Elephone P4000 definitely cannot replace my current ZTE Nubia Z7 Max (RM1,149 on September 2014), which is my trust-able and excellent ala-flagship smart gadget for the past 12 months. In the end, the Elephone P4000 has managed to capture my attention for their upcoming models in the future. Even now, their P8000 model has been touted to be the best-buy item in 2015.
Stock ROM version 20150725
Hi,
can someone tell me if this phone has an notification led?
thanks
Did you get xposed working on elefone rom for p4000?
Hi, mine P4000 comes with 20150707 ROM any idea where can i get the rooted ROM you mentioned v20150725 - i do not get any OTA message when i search for updates.... :-/
How can we root this device?
Flash custom recovery then flash SuperSU.zip from custom recovery.
Sent from my Cloud 4G Star using XDA Free mobile app
On my P400 with firmware 20150707 was a "hidden root". I just installed the supersu app form playstore and started it. After that a popup came and i chose "install normal" method and after that i did a reboot and it was done... The phone was rooted without the need of custom recovery....
Can anyone provide me stock ROM as zip file?

Is the camera any good on this phone? Had a Mlais MX before - it was pretty much perfect except the camera was really bad
i found the camera really really bad - in videos during bright daylight the brightness changes every few seconds. This looks really bad. And pictures are awful too - if you make a picture of a letter or calender those big letters are not readable in the photo - smaller letters are even worse. If you don't care about the camera go for it the phones battery is awesome and i liked the extra features that elephone has added. For example time scheduled shut down and start up of the phone !
But i sold it and went for a Xiaomi Mi4c which fits my needs.

UHANS is a relatively unknown company, even in the Chinese phone market. Their most popular phone was the UHANS S100, which was a leather backed phone that looked a lot like Vertu phones.
The UHANS S1 looks like their entry into the mainstream, with some very decent specs, and the phone itself looks extremely nice and thin. Power wise it shouldn’t be lacking, but the one thing I’m concerned about is battery life, because the phone is only 6.8mm thick and has small bezels, they could only fit a 2200mAh battery in there, so I’m hopeful that they did some battery magic to up the screen on time.
Gizchina also reported that the camera has Fotonation technology that basically enhances and corrects pictures of people to enhance their pictures, I believe it’s really similar to beautify mode, but probably more in depth.
No price has been announced yet. Follow this thread for more updates.

In 2018 many new budget oriented smartphones were launched but lets see who is the real smartphone king. many big companies have are launching their budget smartphones but only few of them have actually proved themselves as mightiest.
in today's discussion i am going to say which smartphone has really good at it's price point.
I will list down top 3 budget smartphones (i.e upto 15,000 ruppes)
1. REDMI NOTE 5 PRO
The real beast still remains the redmi note 5 pro since it gives true value for money.
the phone feature's latest qualcomm snapdragon 636 octacore processor, 4GB ram and has dual rear facing camera i.e 12MP + 5MP dual camera
Sony primary sensor, 1.25μm pixels and 20MP front facing camera with led flash light and face unlock . Though the rear facing camera look's like iphone x but still result's pretty good. it also has 6 inch FHD+ display with new 18:9 aspect ratio and comes with massive 4000mah battery capacity.
however the smartphone higher GB varient i.e for 6GB ram, the pricing is still high.
2.ASUS ZENFONE MAX PRO M1.
The Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 is just like the Redmi Note 5 Pro, but includes stock Android. The same hardware that makes the Xiaomi phone on the best performers at that price, is also there on the Zenfone Max Pro M1(i.e snapdragon 636 octacore processors) .But the flavour is stock Android 8.1 Oreo. Apart from that you get a sturdy build quality and decent 16-megapixel dual cameras at the back. Easily one of the best phones under Rs 15,000.
3.OPPO REALME 1.
this year oppo is launching quite unique and attractive products. This year now oppo has has launched it's new brand realme and it's one of the product realme 1 is one othe best smartphone of 2018
The Realme 1 is a new entrant in the mid-range market and it hopes to topple the best by offering a maxed-out spec sheet which includes 6GB of RAM and 128GB storage and Mediatek helio p60 processor which is even good than qualcomm snapdragon 636 processors. But because of missing fingerprint scanner and dual rear camera setup,i have placed it in 3rd position. But all that firepower surely makes the Realme 1 one of the best phones under Rs 15,000.
