Hi,
I have a Korean SM-P900 that I tried to root with CF AutoRoot using Heimdall. I identified the recovery and cache partitions using print-pit, then flashed the recovery.img and cache.img to their respective partitions. After that it started booting, and was stuck at the Samsung screen for several minutes.
I then rebooted it by holding down the power button. When it was booting back up, it showed a message in Korean and with a counter that counted up to 79, then showed a similar message counting up to another number. It kept doing that no matter what, never booting up, even if I rebooted it again.
After that I tried flashing it again the same way. Now it shows the same message as earlier, but actually boots into the Samsung initial setup screen. However, I can't get past it, because a message showing "MyScript ResourceManager", followed by some Korean text, blocks me from doing anything, and if I hit okay it just reappears.
Any ideas on how to unbrick it?
Try going into recovery and do a Full reset. If that doesn't work, download the Korean firmware (or whichever version you want, as long as it is SM-P900) and flash back to stock using Odin. Messing with partitions using Heimdall can be tricky and dangerous if you don't have a PIT file for your device. Hope this works for you.

Going into recovery and doing a reset fixed the problem. Thank you very much!
The reason I didn't flash back to stock earlier was because I couldn't find the Korean stock firmware anywhere, and I was unsure if I could flash another country's firmware to it without breaking something. Nice to know that I can.
Now that it's functional again, will it be okay to try to root it again, this time using Odin?

Yes, flashing another region is ok, but you may have issues with keyboard languages and wifi channels being different. Yeah just use Odin for CF-Autoroot. You can download a recovery image to flash if it gets stuck on cache.img. It's in the cf-autoroot thread for the 12.2. Best to read the entire thread before you start. Good luck.

Towelroot is only for Qualcomm based devices. SM-P900 uses an Exynos SOC.

Hi, I got an old Galaxy S3 to play around with today and I think I may have bricked it. It was on the latest 4.4.2 build and I attempted to downgrade it to unlock the bootloader. Obviously, it didn't work but I though I would just be able to flash back to stock. I have tried every tutorial I can find but I can not get back to stock. When flashing in ODIN it always fails. kies never connects to the device, and the Verizon repair tool doesn't detect the device.
When I try to boot the phone it says "firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please use software repair assistant & try again"
I am still able to boot into download mode.
Does anyone have any idea how to fix this?

If you are using Odin in attempts to flash stock 4.4.2 and that is failing I am at a loss. If Odin flashes of 4.3 are failing, then I would say use 4.4.2. I doubt you need to try debrick images, if one is available for the i535, since you can boot into download mode. I don't have any info about the VZW repair tool or Kies, I haven't used them.

Thanks, I managed to figure out the problem. I thought I was flashing 4.4.2 images but I was actually flashing 4.3 images. I downloaded the latest image and managed to flash it in Odin without a problem.
Thanks again for responding
Hi, I downloaded and installed some rom file earlier, and I followed the instructions correctly, but something must have gone wrong because I wasn't able to get into my recovery after that. I still have access to Odin mode though, so I tried flashing what (I think?) was the correct firmware file for my device, a G-920f dual sim. That didn't do anything for me. If anyone can help me out, and also a link to the firmware file would be appreciated, as I no longer have the original and the only ones I've been able to find have like a 3kb/s download speed, which would take many many hours.
Also, for the firmware, should I download lollipop or marshmallow? My phone was on 5.1 before this mess. If the firmware is for both, can you link me to both and I will try either?
You might try to install Samsung Smart Switch on your computer, which is able to pull updates from Samsung directly and update your phone.
In other cases, my experience is that samsung-updates.ru offers higher download speeds than the sites you might have visited (Google Translate is your friend).
find a lollipop Rom, either a custom from here or a stock one from sammobile. If you were rooted I recommend a custom rom from the s6 forum alternatively if you weren't rooted get a stock 5.1 for G-920f.
no go
So, I forgot to mention, I cant boot into the rom either. Its just odin mode, no recovery, no android. All the files on that russian website are for 6.0, btw, but I'll try it out

Yep, its not supported apparently. Its a dual sim variant, maybe smart switch isnt compatible with that kind?
I'm getting this error when flashing my firmware file: "SW REV CHECK FAIL DEVICE 3 BINARY 1"

Yep but their download link is broken
Anyway, I got android 6 installed now, but I cant get booted into it....
So, i was trying to flash a ROM after i got my recovery and root going on, i wiped EVERYTHING INCLUDING THE recovery file i made and the installation file i got in the phone when i went to wipe the system files and attempt to install the ROM. So, i tried to put the ROM files into my phone via the ADB method. It worked but my ROM didn't and now my S6 is in a boot loop. i have tired Odin, smartwatch and kies. On kies and smart watch, they both said the attempt to install stock ROM failed and attempt a emergency recovery. HOWEVER, both software did not recognize my device in the emergency recovery devices list, nor did it recognize it as a compatible device in the 1st place, i tired to reinstall the drivers and the software themselves but nothing worked. For Odin, it keeps on saying fail to flash as well, it usually stuck on the 'nano write' process or 'setting up connection' process for a long time too! I did download the official Samsung firmware and extracted it, put it into the blank next to the 'AP' button in odin and i got 'Auto Reboot' and 'F. Reset Time' checked off. On the phone, i can boot in to download mode and download mode only, now it shows me a triangle and it says that stock firmware flash failed and use emergency recovery. i actually download a custom recovery and for some reason it wont boot into that.
Model number: SM-G920W8
carrier: fido
If any of you pros got any ideas please share with me, i've been trying to fix this problem for about a day and a night.

about roms, i still got 5.1.1 so if i want to install a rom, does it matter? or is it just about finding the 1 for your model. i want to install XtreStoLite but some versions have android 6.0 in the title and some have 5.1.1, and why don't posts about roms have any comments?

Cannot help much if there is no details on what your phone bootloader/firmware versions were before flash, and what versions you were trying to flash.
If you were flashing a lower version of BL to your phone, you can flash your original firmware back to your phone.
If you were flashing a higher version of BL, you will need to find a new version of BL/firmware , such as the latest U firmware, to Odin into the phone..

Read this thread
https://forum.xda-developers.com/sprint-galaxy-s7/help/bloat-free-firmware-930u-tried-t3428974
Since you mentioned a Google account, just make sure you know the user and password of the last working Google account on the phone. Sounds like you tried to flash a firmware with an older bootloader.
And if you don't know that info and were trying to carrier unlock it via some back door method, don't follow the thread that I just linked.

no error message it flashes successfully with odin but when the phone itself starts to update the firmware after 33% it just reboots then fails. then i get a error screen and well no recovery. no one locally seemed to be able to fix the issue either so update: i sent it away to try to fix. https://imgur.com/a/knxKIKM
