[Mod][flashable zip] like video smart control from S4 fully working

Hi how are you guys
one thing made me Julius from s4 owner it is the smart control in video player just wave whilea video is playing it stops
wave back it will play - made me feel like a magician -
so i saw an Rom in s II fourm (ice cold rom by black_prince dont forget to thank him) have an video player that have smart control , i extract the video player from it and installed it on my note and worked :cyclops:
and i made a flashable zip for it on drive
installation :
- flash this zip by CWM
- reboot
- you will find 2 new icon
- open gallery
- then go to setting
- enable smart control
- go to the main gallery
- open any video then choose video player its icon look like aosp icon
- have fun :good:
this will be my last Mod before exam but in summer vacation i will be back
so wish me luck :highfive:​

It is using proximity sensor as our note doesnt have IR sensor

it was my mistake mate. I thought it's the same feature which has included in S4 called Smart Pause based on eye detection..
But this mod is not the "Smart Pause" i guess

Can you put an other link please ? I don't like drive..

thank you, from the note does not work but from the pc no problem.
Now the camera gives the gallery fault and I do not see anything new.

I tried flashing this through CWM on my Galaxy Note running on Sweet ROM LT6 V9. I got installation successful message but I can not see any new icons. Can you please let me know which two new icons will be created? SHould I reflash and check again?

are you sure that you have a enough space in system
and the icon should be like this : "it is gallery "

Known Bugs
Apps cannot be killed by swiping or by using the action buttons. This has to do with permissions. I have tried installing it as system app but still it seems to have issues. If anyone can make it work, do post here. However, this issue should not be there if it is compiled and installed along with a ROM. So its not really a bug but a limitation of android(for now).

Yes, killing apps don't work. Everything else works. That's a limitation for now. I'll try to find a reflection method to make it work.

I've tried reflection methods for ActivityManager.removeTask(...)
No luck. What happened was that I gave the app permissions (REMOVE_TASK) but it still said that the permission wasn't granted. Only apps signed with the ROM's signature (apparently) can use this removeTask method.
Do you have a different approach to reflection methods?

[APP] Finger Hovering

[APP] [ROOT] Finger Hovering
This app allows you to hover your finger like a mouse pointer on websites for instance.
Blue pointer only works while AirView is enabled (enabling AirView will make hovering disable randomly). So if you want a permanent hovering you must disable AirView.
Here you can control the finger hovering status, enabling it here will make hovering work on all installed apps, including web browsers. To use AirView with Samsung apps just enable it normally on settings again.
NOTE: It's recommended to turn off AirView to use this app without any issue

I've installed it and gave it root permissions and it registers hovering in app but after i leave the app i can't seem to see it function on other apps :/

It does, do you have airview toggle enabled? If so, disable it, enable the app and try again with any browser

Disable airview, enable this app, load any website as a PC with any browser, then hover your finger at 15mm of the screen over site elements for instance

Maybe you meen, we don't need to touch screen with that app? Program run when i install for first time, i remove them because i i don't understand usage and now install again, for test and get FC. Cleand of program data did't help, get fc only. Phone is 9505 with latest 4.4.2. This is just report, if this will be helpfull for you for that FC

How would you like to be first to try out this new theming app? How would you like to see a little color instead of stock white notifications?​
I am looking for Nexus device owners to test Material Notifications. I have a Nexus 7 (2013) and I find that it runs perfectly on it, but before sharing it with the wider community, I would like to make sure it runs well on other Nexuses.
If your device is not a Nexus, or if you are using a custom rom, this probably won't work. If it does work, I would be glad to know.
Edit: Tested, works on official CM.
Whatever device you own, make sure you have a nandroid backup before using this app. If you get stuck in a bootloop or if your systemUI force closes, you can easily sort the problem by going into TWRP, mounting your system, opening the file explorer and deleting color.apk from system/vendor/overlay. Or you can use your nandroid.
Please note that I am not responsible if you brick your phone. Only test this app if you know what you are doing.

I'm not sure, but having said that there are lots of root apps and other types of theming apps (e.g. navbar) on the Playstore...

The build.prop is not for pushing to system,I've added it for reference purpose! So everyone could check the properties clearly of the Note 8 device!

You're right, this is a place for us work together and you have already done so much in the past. We'll done.
One question I'm in batman S8 Port how I can install the note 8 sounds?

Yes ofc I'm not avoiding this but on my thread I said no duplicated stuffs. I know that you haven't seen them in OP but that's ok.

Go to system/media.delete old audio folder and then place my note 8's audio folder set all correct permissions and then reboot.Tada! you're done. ?
